I like these reins. They are a nice width and a good value for the price.

Decent for the price
I bought these specifically because they were a great price point, but also because the stitching holding the leather onto the rubber part looked very sturdy (this is where my last pair broke). It is in fact very sturdy, but it also is completely stiff as a rock for three inches. The rubber is not as soft as I had hoped and it permanently curves where I usually hold the reins. Also no rein stops which would had prevented me from buying if I had noticed. Again, decent for the price, but I probably won’t buy again.

Good grip
Very nice, just wish I would have ordered a little longer to allow for a full stretch down without me having to lean over

Quality has changed
I’ve had Harwich tack before and thought it was a great value, but these reins are stiff with a painted surface and uneven stitching. They’re much lower quality than I was anticipating, so I returned them.

Best Grippy Reins
I love this product because I have recently become a big fan of rubber reins. Ever since I got my Miklem Bridle that comes with rubber reins I have been moving them to whatever bridle I am using. This became cumbersome so in my research of rubber reins, I came across these and paired them with my new Harwich Hunt Bridle. These reins allow me to have confidence in my grip on the reins. While I am working through new exercises with Harry - I am sure that my connection to the bit is there and solid. They are soft in my hands so if I forget my gloves, I do not need to worry about my hands hurting or blisters forming. This product would be perfect for any rider in any discipline looking for a quality rubber rein for schooling or competing (if discipline acceptable).

Perfect!
Love these reins, good price, nice feel. Only used for about 2 weeks, but think they'll last as well as any.

Excellent Comfort and Quality
I love the quality of these rubber reins. I have been using them for about 4 years and they have held up great! What differentiates these rubber reins from other that I have used in the past is the amazing grip I get while riding. I also love how the little rubber nubs don't fall off or wear off which speaks to great quality of these reins. I think these rubber reins would be perfect for any rider who is looking for a comfortable and secure grip. Since these reins come in a variety of colors they can accommodate riders of different disciplines. Caring for the rubber reins is super easy. I wipe mine down with a damp sponge and some saddle soap after each ride. I use leather conditioner for the leather parts of the reins about once a month. These rubber reins are 54" long and I personally feel that is the perfect length for most horses.

Great for helping grip
I needed to replace some other rubber reins that had been worn off and didn't grip enough for me (I have low dexterity and trouble gripping things) and these proved to be just the ticket. The rubber nubbins on these reins are the very small kind, my previous ones had large button nubs. They are much stiffer than my other ones and the brown matches good enough to my brown HDR bridle. All these things combined means these work great for me. In addition to normal sweaty rides during the summer, I have ridden in them during rain and through a whole bunch of water (we did 7 miles of flooded trails during an endurance ride) and I never felt like they were too slippery for me. While they are about twice what I have spent previously on reins, I am waiting for another good sale to buy another pair to have as backups. As I bought them at the end of summer, I can't say how well they hold up to the heat and humidity and sun but I keep my rubber reins clean and they have lasted a long time for me, they usually get worn off before anything else.

Nice reins
I bought these reins to replace a pair that came with my bridle I purchased over 10 years ago. The leather was stiff to begin with as expected, but after oiling, it has become very supple and easy to deal with. I was worried the reins would feel heavy since they are not the typical laced reins, but I really like riding with these reins and I think they help my keep my fingers closed up around the reins.
