Apparently, not tasty
I don't have a picky eater, but of course Prascend and PPID do impact horses' appetites. But after my horse, who usually eats everything, stopped eating his grain, I finally thought to b break out each well of his Smartpak and figure out if it was one of his new supplements that was the problem.
Sure enough, it was the Smartpituitary. He gobbled everything else up. So alas, something in here must be off-putting.

Really helped my horse
I bought this a month ago and it has helped my older horse who have had chronic diarrhea off and on for several years. I have tried everything, and my horseshoer recommended this product and after a month, she has solid normal stool

Works!
Ace, my 36 yr. old Appaloosa had not been shedding well in the last few years and our vet was positive that he has Cushings. I found smart pituitary senior and started him on it 3 months ago. His coat was extremely thick and it was already late spring and he was not shedding at all. I doubled the dose the first month as I was worried about warm weather coming and him still having a full winter coat, it worked and he started to shed. It is now mid July and he is 90% shed out. He has also put on weight and has stopped the nasty habit of eating his manure. He is acting more like himself, big appetite and his usual energy trotting in and out to pasture.

I purchased this and am not sure if it
was helping, I didn't see any improvement. I've had him on the Smartpak Chastberry for almost a year, thought I'd try this. He wasn't fond of the smell or taste at first, will eat it now. I'm not sure what I should do, he is on Prescend.

My gelding ate the pellets, sometimes he's picky. This product did not help him she'd out. I'm having my vet out in a week to examine him and decide wether or not to continue using this product.

Great customer service!
I have been buying Smart Pituitary Senior Pellets got several months. It really seemed to help with my 33 year old mare’s coat and body condition. Unfortunately, this past Monday my mare crossed the Rainbow Bridge. When I called SmartPak to cancel my subscription they couldn’t have been any more helpful or kind. What a great company!!

Not Picky Eater approved
We bought this for our older donkeys that weren’t shedding as well. Our donkeys eat very low quality hay and just about anything we put in front of them. However, they would not go near their grain bowls with this product. I thought it was odd but not unlikely until we tried to feed the remainder of the product to another pony in the barn and this pony would also not touch it. It’s too bad as it seems it would have been a good product.

Worked better than I hoped for!
Bought this for my 23 year old mare that has been showing signs of Cushings, long coarse hair, tender feet and loss of topline. Within a week of starting this supplement she started to shed and after a month she is mostly shed out and her coat is good. Feet are less tender and topline has improved. I will keep her on this as part of her diet going forward.

Very fresh
I bought this 2 months ago to help my now 36 year old Appaloosa. He has Cushing and his coat looks like a wooly mammoth! He had not started to shed and I was very concerned so I started him on smartpituitary senior and am pleased to say it is helping him to get rid of his very long coat. I will report after another month of using it. It is also very palatable as he gobbles it up everyday in his mash.

Great for my retired mare!
I bought this for my 23 year old Holsteiner Mare, who is now semi retired. She still teaches smaller kids to ride and jump cross poles and is still very active. I noticed in the last 3-6 months she started to get a bit of a sway back and this product was recommended to me. She has been on it for the last 2 months and I can see a huge difference in her back, coat, hooves and all over all appearance! Highly recommend!

Obviously this is anecdotal evidence, so take it with that in mind...
Last year my 31-year-old horse took twice as long to shed his haircoat as usual. eACTH test for PPID the previous fall was normal...planned to do a more in-depth test (TRH stimulation) if he continued to have problems. Started him on SmartPituitary in the mean time, why not. This year he shed out beautifully and definitely does NOT look his age! Whether this is due to the supplement or not, I will definitely be keeping him on it! He eats it just fine too (but would eat anything).

Works for my horse
My 21 year old Arabian has Cushings and hadn't shed out for two springs.I started him on SmartPak Chasteberry and Vitamins for a few months and it appeared not to help. So this last fall I changed him to SmartPituitary Senior, Vitamin E, Selenium, Turmeric, Magnesium, and other trace minerals. This spring he finally shed out and lost most of his hair, I basically just had to trim his legs and fetlocks. He looks great and finally losing
weight. Because I am so impressed with this product I will be starting SmartPituitary Senior on his his pasture mate, 21 year old Quarter horse.They have been together all their lives and I believe it will help his immune system.

Helped my mini
I had 2 vets tell me my 17 yr old mini looked like he had Cushing. He was not shedding like he used to and his hair was waiver than normal. Just three days on the Smartpituitary Senior and he’s shedding like crazy. He also seems a lot happier and comfortable.

I feel like its helped my gelding a lot
I put my gelding on this supplement back in October when he was diagnosed with cushings. He will be 30 years old in June. He was loosing a lot of weight, not acting right and had trouble loosing his hair all summer. He just was off. Since being on this supplement his overall health has improved along with putting him on a senior specific diet. He is acting normal again, with only some minor off days very far and few between. Hes back to normal weight and is already shedding normally and so much better than he did all of last year. I would recommend this supplement. I did not put him on the medication for cushings, just this supplement.

My horse wouldn't eat it
My horse refused to eat when I tried to add this supplement. When I added it to her food the first time she shoved her food bowl around picked at it then walked away. I tried offering by itself, she would sniff it and walk away. After a couple of attempts I gave up. At 32 it is more important that she eats.

On second bucket
My 23 year old gelding has arthritis in hind leg. I have had him on MSM and some sort of joint support for several years. I decided to try this one to see if it would help him a bit more. I just received my second bucket today. He is still a bit gimpy, but he is out there keeping up with everyone else on their romps. He seems to be doing well on it, so I will keep it up.

Mare Won't Touch It
My mare is on Purina Enrich Plus, Thyroid-L and a magnesium supplement, always loves to eat her food. I added one scoop of this and she refuses to eat! I even tried covering itup with a smashed up apple horse cookie. She still won't touch it. I really want her to eat this but I can't make her eat it. $35 bucks down the tubes. :(

It has really helped!
My 28-yo QH gelding tested positive for PPID in Spring 2018. I tried him on liquid Vitex, and then SmartPak Chasteberry. Neither of these helped very much. I switched him to Smart Pituitary Senior in Fall 2018. He started looking better over the winter, and he shed out really well this Spring (2019)! (I only clipped his shaggy legs over the winter/spring as they collected mud. I did not have to body clip him!) His topline improved, he lost his "fat butt" look and developed more muscles. He is moving well and is happy with his exercise. We have seen so many positive changes from this supplement! Love it!

Great Results
Dancer was diagnosed with Cushings October 2017. He was put on Presend.Since then he still did not shed out Spring of 2018. This past July he had issues with not sweating and dunking his head in his water bucket.. After acupuncture and supplement Platinum Refresh he started to sweat. Then he crashed and would not eat and was very depressed. Vet suggested stopping the Presend for a week because some horses go off feed and are depressed on Presend. With in 12 hours of stopping Presend Dancer was a whole new horse. Eating and neighing for his breakfast and dinner. Bucking and kicking when turned out. Never realized since came on slowly after starting Presend how much his personality had changed. I decided to not put him back on the Presend. Quality of life was more important than quantity of life. Researched other treatments for Cushings. Decided after reading many reviews of Smartpak Senior Pituitary to put Dancer on this instead of Presend. OMG. He has been on the Smartpak Senior Pituitary for 20 days. He feels great and is shedding like crazy. Finaly shedding out his winter coat. Can't say enough great things about Smartpak Senior Pituitary.

The Difference was like night and Day
Katia, my 17 year old Rocky Mountain mare is on her second round of SmartPituitary Senior® Pellets. I have had horses since 1972 and never had a sick horse. This past fall 2018 Katia was not doing well and it took a while to get her back to her normal wonderful self. This caused her to not shed out to that beautiful shining Hershey chocolate coat. She literally had weird reddish brown patches that were not shed out. I considered clipping her but then I researched Smartpaks and felt the SmartPituitary Senior® Pellets might be a good solution. I received the first shipment July 9th. Katia also gets Super 14 from Smartpak. Well...….one week into suplementing the SmartPituitary Senior® Pellets and the difference in Katia was like night and day. The second week was truly WOW! Today August 22 she is her beautiful shiny chocolate self with DAPPLES!! I am impressed and will continue giving her the SmartPituitary Senior® Pellets. I recommend this supplement highly. Thank you for a great product!

Helps old horses
I've been using this for about 10 months for 2 of my older horses that exhibit Cushings syndrome. It helped them shed, to some extent and has helped with other issues as well. One horse is not fond of the flavor but did start eating it after a couple of days.

Great results
I bought this to help with my 19 year old Morgan’s hair growth. It was extremely long and she did not shed out like she should. I am amazed at the difference pituitary senior pellets has made. Her coat is shiny and sleek again. Thanks for a really great product

SO FAR, SO GOOD
Started my 23 y old paint gelding on this mid-July. Vet came out 2 weeks ago, blood tests confirmed Cushings but I am going to keep him on this because of all of the reviews and even some scientific research on the ingredients. Only downside to this is the fish oil that I read in ingredients list-- this was after I wondered why my horse was not eating it!! He is now eating the full scoop, so might need to start out less than recommended dosage if your horse is not keen on it. My guy has minimal signs of Cushings except for some shedding issues, but otherwise (knock on wood!) we are going to start Prescend soon and then another blood test in about 6 weeks to check his hormone levels. Hoping this helps overall in the long run :) I also give apple cider vinegar and a turmeric paste that I make, as well as Probios and Hoof and Coat Formula by Springtime, Inc.
