Rated 5 out of 5 by Loso from Saved their from rub out this summer!! It has worked all summer for itchy tails and manes. My horses grow beautiful tails in the winter, but in summer, the both start to rub their back ends against the barn poles. Eventually tearing up the hairs at the top of the tail. I started with the zephyr leave it be spray and was happy with that. I ran out but had purchased the no fly as well and started using on the tail head daily or every other day. I use my fingers ti massage it down into the tail. So it’s a little messy. The spray wasn’t messy, but I feel this lasts longer as the insects increase towards end of summer. I’ve been consistent and they haven’t rub out their tails this year.

After only three applications, my horse lost all of the hair on his face where this product was applied. It looked like he was burned by it with flesh poking out under the hair loss. SmartPak was wonderful about refunding the product cost but I really hope the manufacturer takes a look at some of these reviews - other Zephyr’s Garden products also show reviews with hair loss. Super disappointing.

My horse, Lucky, is very sensitive to flies, especially around his white face. He does were a fly mask but those pesty nats get right underneath the mask and into his eyes and ears. I apply this by hand to the inside, and outside of his ears, as well as a circle a couple of inches away and around his eyes. Voila, no more weepy eyes and bites in Lucky's ears. My granddaughter's pony, Pumpkin, suffers from a severe case of sweet itch in his ears. He was constantly shaking her head, scratching her ears on everything. After much research, we realized if we stop the bugs from ever biting, we can resolve the problem and give him the relief he deserves. Well, we started using the slave and immediately the bugs stopped biting. We applied the salve to the inside and outside of her ears every day. Within a week, her old wounds were healed and he was a completely different horse. The head tossing stopped and he rode with ease. We are so glad we found this product and recommend it to anyone with a horse struggling with sweet itch. Zephyr's Garden No Fly Zone Healing Salve is long-lasting, and heals and moisturizes the skin. I am so happy I found this amazing product!

This product helped soothe the top of his tail and prevent him from rubbing out any more of his hair. It smells great and a little bit of the product goes a very long way. I love that it can also be used around the ears and eyes to help keep bugs at bay while riding!
