Destroyed in less then 48 hours
My horse has EMS so limiting grazing during certain times of the growing season is very important for his health. He would wear his muzzle at night time (so maybe 12 hours max), he wore this for two nights before he ripped the front of the muzzle (the nose band I guess) and now it’s useless. I would expect any product that costs me more then $5 to last more then a few days but that’s just me. And not only did the muzzle rip but the “breakaway” didn’t release... my horse was able to put enough pressure on this muzzle to break the thick nylon nose and but the breakaway Velcro remained in tact, not usually a quality look for in a breakaway. Luckily my horse only broke the muzzle and not his neck. I then had to spend over $100 on temporary fencing to restrict his grazing. Thanks tough-1!!

Good quality
I bought this for a medium pony in the pony size and it was too small. I had to order a horse size that fit. This pony doesn’t have a big head and this wasn’t all the way up either

Great muzzle!
My 13h Welsh pony does really well with this muzzle. It is much nicer than a much more expensive Best Friends muzzle! Muxzzles are a little bit of black art to find one that they will keep on and not get rubbed raw.

Size “horse”. Nose holes could be a tad bigger!
I bought the grazing muzzle for my mare who is getting very chunky on grass so this should slow her down but still let her be able to graze and wonder in fields! First time wearing one she isn’t a fan so far but introducing slowing couple hours at a time each time and than will keep on when out on grass and take off when comes in!
I do wish the nose holes were just a tad bigger the pony one I also bought for my welsh pony I noticed his nose holes are much bigger but they work! Material seems tough yet soft, also has some little cushion pads which is nice for rubs!

The Best.
I've tried a million grazing muzzles for my little mini over the years, but this one is hands down, the best by far. The big holes in front allow her to breathe more freely and it's super durable—I'm just now ordering a new one after 4 years. Rosie is a large mini and the pony size fits her perfectly.

Very well constructed but didn't stay on
I give it 5 stars for the construction (and concept) and because of this, many if not most horses will keep it on. My 1200 pound gelding worked and worked and worked and got it off. And once he perfected the art, there was no keeping it on him for even 5 minutes. A great idea, a great concept. Wrong horse!

Like the nostril holes!
Perfect for a horse that needs to slow down the rate of grazing. The hole is bigger than BF muzzle so they can ingest more which may not be good if the horse is metabolically challenged. The nostril holes are also larger which lends to easier breathing and comfort particularly in hotter weather. After the initial adjustment of the cheek straps, the muzzles stay on securely and the horses have not minded putting them on. The hole does start to wear thin after about four months of 10-12 hour day turnouts. We have not had any rubbing problems. For our purposes, this muzzle is great.

Works very well & like the orange color.
I have been very happy with this item. Very durable, large enough opening for the horses to graze & drink safely, stays on well. Orange color is easy to see that it is still on. Highly recommend if you need one.

It stays on!
Have an Arabian gelding with Cushings who needs a muzzle to go out to pasture to be with his pasture mates. It works well. He can't slip it off and I can see the bright orange muzzle from quite a distance. Bought a horse size and it fits him very well.

Love adjustability & quick release
This has been my first time buying a grazing muzzle for my very easy to keep pony now that she is rehabbing on a 7 acre pasture that gets very green in the winter! I have yet to really use this product since it’s the middle of summer (August) but the quality is awesome and the breathable muzzle is awesome! Can’t wait to see how it withstands the winter!

Nicely made, but doesn’t fit.
This is a nicely made muzzle, but it doesn’t fit my horse. The horse size was way too big, and the pony too small and caused a rub. Smartpac was great about sending the smaller size to try. I have kept it as an emergency back up. I am using another muzzle and really am happy I decided to muzzle. My horse is much healthier this year and does not seem to mind wearing it.

Got our burro
Needed this grazing muzzle in a hurry. First time in 19 years our little donkey was on the verge of a bad founder. Was worried if it would fit-and then if we could keep it on him! He has tried his best but it’s been on every day in the pasture for 2 weeks. He’s learned that when he comes in for the night it finally! Comes off.he drinks fine in it and manages to feel like he’s getting some grass. My only complaint is that the strap seems to be sewn on backwards as the adjusting buckle are in the inside and wore his hair in those spots do I wrapped them in vet wrap to stop the eventual sores. And the throatlatch buckle is backwards too!
But it has stayed on and is very durable.

Surprisingly, it stays on!
My TB gelding is a Houdini when it comes to getting fly masks, muzzles, wraps and blankets off. I was using another brand with a breakaway clip but he figured out just how much pressure to use to get the clip to break and the muzzle to drop off.
It's been a month and he hasn't figured out how to scrape this muzzle off. He wears it 12 to 16 hours a do and so far so good.

Best Price!
I got this to use on our trail horses to keep them from grazing and it works great! We cut a hole in the bottom to be able to keep them on with a bridle.
It was great to change the size and not be charged more for the lager sizes.

Runs very large in the muzzle and not durable!
I bought 2 of these to replace 1 I bought on amazon last year. The rubber on the bottom was chewed to a larger hole in about 5 months of use. The 2 I ordered on smartpak this year busted after 2 weeks!! The stitching all around the muzzle part just busted. Very disappointed, was willing to by more often due to the high visibility of the blaze orange color, but not worth it.

Not so great a halter
The idea behind the halter is great, but the issue I have with it is the breakaway feature. My young mare likes to roll and when she does that she rubs the breakaway feature loose, then it comes off. I just find it hard to keep it on her.

Good quality
This is a nice quality product. It was pretty tight around my horse’s nose though and he’s not large (wears a standard fly mask) and it’s also very heavy compared to some other models I’ve seen. I also thought it just slowed the amount of grass they could get, but my gelding couldn’t figure out how to get a single blade and he looked so depressed it ended being a bit tortuous for him, so we ended up not using it.

Nice structure, holds it shape but some rubbing
I like the way this is nice and firm so it sits away from the horses face, which definitely makes the breathing easier. However It does rub in a couple of spot, right under the mouth especially, so I am using it in rotation with another muzzle, they both rub a little bit in different places! The search continues!

Can't beat the orange color!
We've used the 'horse' size on our 14.3 paint (who takes a 'cob' size in halters etc) for a week on 24-hour pasture. He was suffering from the 'green grass crazies' and putting on weight, and has already calmed down. He quickly learned to eat easily with the muzzle, initially spending all his time grazing through it. It definitely restricts, but doesn't prevent, eating. Small rub under chin which we've been treating with Vaseline until it goes away; the basket does seem to fit a little higher than recommendations suggest. We were astonished that he hasn't managed to get it off; it really annoyed him at first, but he's resigned now. Were a little worried at the beginning that the wide top opening of the basket might let him catch a hoof in it, but hasn't happened so far (other brands were smaller around the top of the muzzle). Only design flaw seems to be the Velcro closure, which immediately attracted dust and mud, presumably when he rolls, and is often flapping open as a result. Love the orange color, as can check at a glance that it is still on. Was considerably less expensive than other choices.

Works great, no rubs!
I have tried so many different brands of grazing muzzles for my easy keeper and this is my favorite. It is very light and has large holes to make it easier to breathe (although I did end up cutting one of the small horizontal pieces on each side to make the holes by the nose bigger). I also like how the muzzle isn’t so deep which I think helps prevent rubs.

Broke within one night
I bought this a month ago and it finally came in this week. I put it on my non-destructive horse (she’s had the same turnout halter and blanket all 6 years I’ve owned her) last night and this morning I found it completely shredded beyond repair in the field. Don’t waste your money.

Good quality, comfy on horse
My friend gave me the exact same muzzle so I ended up returning the one I bought from smartpak, but this is a great muzzle. It doesn’t rub and my horse is happy in it, unlike other muzzles.

Love it!
I bought this muzzle 2 years ago for my son's pony. It has been wonderful! No rubs. Today he finally wore the rubber in the baskey thin enough to break it. I can't complain at all since it lasted 2 years. I hear friends struggle with their horses and muzzles but, I have zero complanits about my choice. Ordering another one right now!.
