good idea; not well designed
As an owner of several fat horses, I have had a lot of experience with various makes of grazing muzzles. I thought this one might be an improvement because of the nostril openings. However, the openings are too low on the muzzle to meet the horse's nostrils. To make the nostril openings actually be at the nostrils, you must crank the muzzle up so high that the horse's lips stay in constant contact with the plastic base of the muzzle. Additionally the whole "basket" of the muzzle could probably use another inch of height to reduce the horse's ability to rub it off on the nearest fence post. The velcro closure on the crown piece is not really ideal for this application. The outside velcro piece is opened easily when the horse rolls and quickly becomes clogged with grass and dirt. The best feature of the muzzle is the bright orange color --easy to find when the horse leaves it somewhere in the
pasture.

Do not but
This muzzle left raw, rub marks on my horse’s nose and cheeks. Took one week to heal. Do NOT recommend.

Breakaway doesn’t work
I like everything about this muzzle except the Velcro breakaway...it doesn’t work! I’ve gone through 3 of these bridles and my mare keeps breaking them! Instead of the Velcro coming undone like it’s supposed to, she literally tears the muzzle from the halter! I would much prefer there to be a thin leather breakaway piece like you see on the standard breakaway halters because who knows how hard she had to have pulled to separate the nylon strapping from the muzzle nose piece!

Not durable not useable in under two months
I bought this muzzle and really liked it. It was slimmer than the next muzzle I tried and didn’t seem to rub my horse at all. She needed to loose a bit of weight but I bought this mainly because she’s a major cribber. She lost a decent amount of weight quickly and seemed so much happier and calmer. At first she wasn’t able to crib with this but it’s not very durable at the mouth and the rubber wore down way to fast. We shouldn’t have to replace this every month! That’s 300 bucks for the year. It should last atleast six months.

I like the large breathing holes
Horse doesn't seem to mind. Stays on and works. I did have to try a couple of sizes to get the right fit. I have a Morgan with a smallish head and ended with the Small Horse/Arab, adjusted and it's fine.

Decent product
I like the nose holes on this grazing muzzle. It's not the sturdiest muzzle out there but it's very reasonable, seems more comfortable in hot weather and comes in easy-to-find orange! It will rip if your horse is determined to get it off.

The better of them all
This is not my first buy of this muzzle. I have bought for my mini and he wears the pony size. He is a B size mini. This one was bought for my Arabian gelding and he wears it grudgingly. After a year he will come to know that it is forever if he wants to go out in the pasture. The funny thing is that they were out of the black and called and I decided to take the orange. Well, it is orange. However, my husband said it best, "Hey we will be able to find this one when he looses it in the pasture"! He is right, so from now on I will be buying the orange color.

Orange is a great color
I originally purchased this because of the easy breathe feature which is really nice for hot weather in particular. But, then when I saw the orange option, I was really happy to use during hunting season. The horse size runs pretty large so, if you have a petite faced horse such as an Arabian, you will likely struggle.

Very satisfied
My mare seems very comfortable in this muzzle. I was a bit concerned about it restricting her breathing (even with "Easy Breathe" in the name) because I took her to the vet for heaves just days before deciding it was time to restrict her grazing. The big nostril holes line up perfectly and she doesn't seem effected at all. She appears to be drinking well with the muzzle too, another concern I had going into the Louisiana summer.
Every strap on the halter part of the muzzle is adjustable which is awesome. The velcro break-away portion gives me piece of mind when she is unsupervised in the pasture. She has rolled or rubbed the velcro part and pulled the outside velcro strap off the crown piece velcro strap, but the inside velcro strap remained in place and so did the muzzle.
I was a bit surprised at the size. I was on the fence between a horse and pony size for my mare's small-ish head. She wears a small horse halter, but the horse size grazing muzzle fit her almost perfectly out of the box.

Happy Horse, not Fat Horse
The Tough 1 Easy Breathe Grazing Muzzle has been the best fit for my mare. Other muzzles cause rubbing around her jaw and sides of her face. This is her third Easy Breathe muzzle as she wears out the bottom of the muzzle in about 6-8 months of 24/7 wear. She is pastured 24/7 and just gets plain ole fat without it. It allows her to be out all the time with her buddy, moving around instead of confined without her eating too much. She is able to consume enough grass to maintain her weight while wearing it with no adverse effects. I will continue to buy these for her as long a they are available. Without it she is fat. With it she is happy and just right!

As many other owners, after trying several different grazing muzzle designs, this was the winner! My13-hand paint wears it spring through fall whenever turned out. My only complaint is that the difference between the pony and horse sizes is HUGE, and I wish there was a size in between. The yearling size wasn't a significant improvement either.

My horses love it!

Love this muzzle.
This muzzle is shorter sitting lower to the mouth so less rubbing on the face. The holes for the nostrils are perfect for hot, humid days. The opening in the bottom is reinforced so it is going to take longer to chew through it. It fits like a halter but has Velcro on the side for tear away issues. My little guy seems much happier with this one.

Kind of enormous, very effective
My horse, who is impossible to keep a fly mad off, was unable to get this muzzle off. Seemed like it would be tough, but didn't rub her sensitive pansy face.

Muzzle area is too large .
The muzzle is for a regular horse, but the muzzle is way too large. Love the safety features, but the muzzle and the adjustments around the jaw line don't fir well. Not happy with this recent purchase. I have an old version and its worn out. Something changed about the newest model.

Tough ! Easy Breathe Breakaway Grazing Muzzle
Have had this on my mare for 2 weeks and she hug it on an aluminum panel and ripped the muzzle off. So..... obviously the breakaway feature DID NOT WORK. I did call and speak with customer service and they are replacing it with a breakaway halter with an attachable muzzle.

Love this muzzle!
I'm really pleased with this muzzle. Hasn't rubbed, I like the opening (the last muzzle I had was a small circle, and seemed TOO hard to eat through), and I love the easy breathe feature (and my horse appreciates it, too - far less snorting when it goes on!). I'll definitely get another one when this one wears out.

Best Grazing muzzle
This is my second one of these grazing muzzles. They are easy to put on and off, but secure enough for the horse not to get it off if fitted correctly. Easy for them to graze from, does not restrict their breathing like some of the other brands. Love this muzzle.

Doesn't rub. Works but less constrictive
I bought this at the recommendation of a friend who saw the rubs on my horses faces and I am very glad that I did. Their muzzles and face look good again and the best part is that the opening is a small square.

Design is appealing
Lasted exactly one wearing. My horse ripped the muzzle in half and came in with straps dangling. Had to throw it away. Really like the large nostril openings especially in the SC heat.

Tough and gentle!
After trying other grazing muzzles that rubbed, he ate through, and were heavy I read reviews and decided to give this one a go. So far it's held up great, my horse is not reluctant to have me put it on and he's only expanded the hole at the bottom by a tiny bit. No rubs other than usual 'halter' type rubbing during summer. Highly recommend!

Works well
I bought this for weight management for my horse. Right now there is lots of lush grass and she was getting a belly. Within a couple weeks she lost that bloat. She wasn't happy but it did the job. The only problem was that it does rub the nose and caused a small wound so I wish they had something softer inside.

great product
Just bought this recently and hated to spend the money cause I knew it wouldn't stay on and it probably wasn't going to be well made. WRONG --- it is made very well and my horse, who is like a magician getting everything off of her head while in the pasture --- has left it on for 2 days straight every time I use it. And she seems fine with it! And I think this fact, of being OK with it, is another reason it has stayed on -- she must be satisfied enough getting a tiny bit of grass.
The fit was very good too, it is adjustable and I had to take it up some but that
worked. Very pleased.

My horse doesn't mind wearing it
I bought this in two sizes for my pony that wears a cob sized bridle. The regular horse size fits well with enough room for him to be very comfortable. He does not mind wearing it at all and does not fight to get it off as he did with his previous muzzle. The pony size I purchased in comparison was way to small.
