Make Your Horse Happy One Hoof At A Time!
SURE FOOT Equine Balance Pads are for use with the patented SURE FOOT Equine Stability Program® developed by Wendy Murdoch. This Program is a progressive system of offering a variety of unstable surfaces to the horse. SURE FOOT Pads are designed to help support function and mobility and may help improve posture and proprioception.
Hard Slant Pads are color-coded with pink on one side, ivory on the other. They are made of the same dense material as Hard Pads but cut on an angle. Hard Slants should only be used with the color side up because they are more stable that way.
Hard Slants will “give” to heat and pressure but have no lateral (sideways) give. Therefore, they will maintain their original angle under the weight of the horse. They can be used in any direction -- heel-high, heel-low, or side-high -- and under any hooves, front or hind.
Horses can stand anywhere on the Hard Slants, from the thin leading edge to the full height at the back (3 inches). Horses that are particularly unsure or nervous may benefit from standing on the thin leading edge because it offers them an opportunity to experience the feeling of Pads without the full height of the Hard Slant or the standard height of the regular Hard Pad (2 inches).
Hard Slants are packaged as a pair. They come with a Warranty Card Registration Form and QR code for immediate access to the SURE FOOT Equine website for online registration and education.
Assembled in the USA.
To get started using SURE FOOT Equine Balance Pads, we strongly recommend reviewing the QuickStart Guide, a short video. Here are some basic tips:
- Use caution when first offering Pads—be sure your horse is comfortable with them.
- Position Pads with your foot and keep your hands away from hooves.
- To begin, work in an open space (such as an arena) with your horse on a lead rope.
- Let your horse step off the Pads if he needs to.
- Observe his response and use it as a guide on how to proceed.

Note: SURE FOOT Equine Balance Pads are a tool to benefit your horse. Though durable, just like your other equipment they will show wear and tear. Nicks, tears, and cuts are considered normal and do not alter the effect of the Pads in any way.
Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the SURE FOOT Equine Stability Program® before using SURE FOOT Pads with your horse. Always check with your veterinarian before using the Pads for any specific conditions or unsoundness. Have your horse on a lead when using SURE FOOT Pads instead of on crossties. Do not leave horse unattended while using the Pads.
