Reviews
SSG Fleece Lined Winter Gripper is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 182.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from chilly day barn chores These gloves were just right for barn work on a cool day. I'm in Florida so that is not extreme, but the grippy palm is good for using tools or for riding when it's a bit chilly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Functional Gloves These keep me warm and dry and seem to be very durable. I've been riding in them 3-4 times a week without getting cold hands this winter. I ordered a medium, but should have ordered a small.
Date published: 2012-01-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Larger than I expected Being a tall girl, I am used to ordering everything a size up. These gloves are true to size and the L/8 I ordered are actually a little big. But that makes room for layering.
Date published: 2012-01-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Riding and work glove Good gloves for riding and barn work. Fit well, little wide in palm and wrist but good in fingers. Reinforcement where it needs to be to last. I have worn them about 5 days a week for month and washed them with the laundry twice. No problem, wash and wear great.
Date published: 2012-01-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Probably won't last too long These gloves are soft and warm, but probably won't hold up for very long.
Date published: 2012-01-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great gloves, 1st pair ripped out quickly Bought these gloves for my wife, she loved them. Unfortunately a seam of one of the fingers ripped out. Pretty typical when they sew it too close to the edge of the fabric. Smartpac was great, they immediately shipped us a new pair. My wife loves the gloves so we are hoping this is an anomaly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Daily Wear Gloves I've been using these gloves for years and just recently bought 2 more pair for replacements. They keep my hands warm but they're not so bulky that I can't easily hold my reins. Dotted palms eliminates slipping. An excellent value for the price.
Date published: 2012-01-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gloves For the price - these gloves are great. Warm and durable. My kids wear them everyday during the winter - they usually only last one season when worn that hard but for the price...it's a great deal.
Date published: 2011-12-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice purchase They fit well and keep my hands warm so far in this New England weather. I haven't had them long enough to know how well they hold out being used all the time. Overall nice glove for the price.
Date published: 2011-12-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luv these!!! Warm, breathable. Reasonably priced. Plus they have those little rubber dimples and my horses love when I rub their faces after we ride. Wash great. Not for the elements but perfect for chilly indoor.
Date published: 2011-12-27
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just okay Meh, these gloves were only okay but you get what you pay for. I was a little disappointed when I took them out of the bag. They look pretty cheap and are fine for wearing around the barn but not grippy enough for riding. I will skip over next time and get something a little more substantial.
Date published: 2011-12-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most useful yet Got these for riding and usually forget to take them off for chores. Sooo comfortable and I like that I can wash them.
Date published: 2011-12-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality The quality is wonderful. warm enough for winter. Don't have to take them off to tighten girths or put on bridles. It did seem that the XL was smaller than the large.
Date published: 2011-12-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from comfortable, warm, durable (so far) and not expensive!
Date published: 2011-12-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I live in So Cal so it doesn't get extremely cold, but can get in the 40s from time to time. These gloves made night riding and colder temps much more bearable in the winter. I am happy with the thickness with minimal loss to "feel" when riding. The cotton is nice and soft and the pimple grip on the palm side works well. I highly recommend.
Date published: 2011-12-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay Glove Just received them today. Not impressed with the fit, as the pinky finger was cut the same length as the ring finger on the gloves. The palms are a little big. I wear a size 7 usually in other SSG gloves, but I wish I would have ordered a 6 in these as they can stretch some. The wrist strap is also okay, I have small wrists and there isn't enough velcro to tighten it. I'm not sure about the durability yet, but for the amount of riding I do, they should be okay. But for the price, it is an okay glove.
Date published: 2011-12-06
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money! Not the most durable gloves (reinforced finger patches are thin and wear out fairly quickly), but they keep my fingers warm and aren't as bulky as a lot of winter gloves! Definitely worth the price to buy a few pairs!
Date published: 2011-12-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice fit Very comfortable gloves. I will just have to remember I have my "good" gloves on before doing anything messy. Love the fit, not too long in the fingers and not too tight. Nice material.
Date published: 2011-12-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good all around gloves. Good fit, keep my hands warm in moderate cold, but are are close fitting enough to allow me to get barn chores done without having to take them on and off constantly. Seem to be holding up better than expected. Great for riding too!
Date published: 2011-11-30
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Gloves I was looking for a pair of gloves for riding, and these looked good so i got them. I like how there's padding on the inside of pointer finger and pinky. The gripper on the palm are also very good. The only part that I don't like is the fit. It's way too big in the thumb area and pinky for me. I ordered a small and the other fingers are perfect, but I wish the thumb wasn't so big. Other than that I'm perfectly happy with these gloves because if you loose them or wreck them there cheap enough to replace them.
Date published: 2011-11-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great, Cheap gloves! Great to slip on for barnwork or riding! my only complaint is that they fit good BUT the weird long thumbs... but they were so cheap i cant really complain about much! Pretty cozy in chilly weather!
Date published: 2011-11-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from super warm, great value! First of all, I love that the fingers are long enough! I ordered the largest size, because my fingers are almost always too long for most gloves. Happy to say these fit just fine! Also happy to report that the first time I wore them it was only upper 40's temps, and these bad boys are so warm my hands were sweating. Too warm to wear while firing for another couple weeks I think :) Finally, you cannot beat the price! Even if they only last a season or two, it's still a better value than any other winter gloves I've had. Really pleasantly surprised on all fronts.
Date published: 2011-11-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and warm These gloves are better than the more expensive ones. I go through one pair every winter and they are good for stable chores as well as riding.
Date published: 2011-03-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product for a Great Price This is the second pair of these gloves that I have owned. The first pair lasted me through two winters of doing chores twice a day. They keep your hands warm, but they are still thin enough to feel what you are doing.
Date published: 2011-03-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great glove for the price great for the price! Have yet to wear them in really really cold temps...came just after the snow melted! But they fit well and seem to be pretty warm while still performing their function and w/out being cumbersome. I would recommend these gloves.
Date published: 2011-03-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product, Great Value These gloves are cheap, and don't always hold up to the rigors of chores plus riding. That being said, I do not buy any other type! I tend to lose my gloves and am terrible about wearing my "riding gloves" to clean stalls or shovel. This way I feel no guilt and my hands are warm. The gloves are thing enough that I usually can buckle a bridle w/o taking them off.
Date published: 2011-03-02
Rated 3 out of 5 by from winter riding gloves The fingers were too long and the velcro doesn't stay put, but they are warm.
Date published: 2011-02-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from These Gloves Are the Best! The SSG Winter Gripper Gloves are great for everyday use. It's difficult at any price to find a lined, low-bulk, well-fitted glove with gripping surface all over the palm and fingers, plus a velcro wrist to adjust the fit. It is affordable to buy a couple of pairs to last through daily use for an entire season. The bonus is if I lose a glove, I don't get upset, because the gloves are inexpensive to replace.
Date published: 2011-01-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value Working at barns all the time, I need a good pair of gloves, but i hate the bulk of most winter gloves and I am picky about good grip. These were great - kept my hands warm and I could wear them under mittens or rubber gloves. Stood up to a winter of abuse and are still going, though they show some wear after going through the washing machine a few times. Great for riding, as well as barn work. Dry out fast. Best warmth - dexterity combination and far cheaper than most warm gloves.
Date published: 2011-01-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weird Fit The glove itself looks and feels great. However when you actually put them on the fit is horrible. Fingers are too tight and way too long. I almost want to say the gloves I have are irregulars because the fit is so odd.
