SSG Fleece Lined Winter Gripper is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 182.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine Gloves! My daughter likes these gloves. Not super warm, but they allow her a good firm grip on most items. Good value!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had bought these gloves for one of my daughters and one of my students, and then I also purchased a much more expensive glove for my other daughter....surprisingly these gloves seem to be warmer then the other gloves. I really don't know about durability yet as we have not had them long. But for the cost it's nice to have around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from really nice gloves for the price Great for work around the barn. Very comfy. I will be using them for regular chores too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warm Gloves The gloves are awesome, warm and flexible. We bought them as gifts and they loved them and use them all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice gloves these gloves are well made, but, a little thin for winters in maine. i bought them large enough to add a liner, because someone else also rated them as being lighter. thats why it is important for all of us to try to rate products, so we can help each other make the best choices on items we buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gloves Wore these gloves this past weekend in the 40's. I maybe should have bought the XL instead of the large, but they fit pretty well. The 'crotch' of the fingers aren't quite deep enough, but I have only worn them once, so I'm thinking they will stretch the way I want. Great buy for the money and very comfortable - not bulky at all.
Date published: 2010-11-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from warm gloves I have only used these a little so far but like them when used. I hate riding with gloves and it has to be very cold for me to wear them. So far they have proven to be pretty comfortable. I have large hands so am hoping they will stretch out a little more in the fingers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice Very affordable gloves for the price. Didn't try them yet becuase we didn't have a cold weather yet. Overall good looking gloves
Date published: 2010-11-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for Mild Temps This glove is great for when temps are in the 40s-50s, but don't do much as you get toward freezing. However, they are light enough that you can wear glove liners. They also are not waterproof. I live in southern Louisiana, so these gloves are perfect for us. I did wear them out though, but they are inexpensive enough that it doesn't matter if I have to replace them every 2 years or so. I also like that they are not bulky so that I can still feel the reins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must-Have Glove These are my favorite gloves to wear to the barn. They are just the right weight and the gripper works very well. They last a long time making them a great value!
Date published: 2010-02-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice gloves for the price Warmer than normal SSGs. Reinforced fingers are a little thick for my personal taste-- i feel like I don't quite have my normal feel, but they are comfy & they keep my hands warm, so I will definitely keep wearing them. :)
Date published: 2010-01-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect combination I bought these for this winter to replace my old bulky gloves that cost almost three times as much! These are great. They are just enough warmth (riding in an insulated indoor that is attached to heated barn) and are thin enough to still have feeling. I'm definitely glad that I purchased these and feel that they will last at least through the season.
Date published: 2010-01-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent for the price I wanted some riding gloves that would keep the cold off my hands, but don't cost a lot, b/c I am just starting riding lessons again after 10 years. These are decent gloves, they aren't very warm and the horse hair sticks to them like crazy, but they are better than nothing. I live in the NE, so I probably should have got a thicker glove, and will likely invest in that next winter if I continue with my riding. I would recommend these gloves if you 1- don't want to spend a lot or 2- live in an area where the weather doesn't get too cold in the winter or 3- you wear these as a fall/early spring glove

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Gloves! I bought these gloves because I needed a pair that wouldn't get in the way when i was tacking up my horse and these fit that description perfectly! However, I was riding in the indoor arena around 4 pm in the winter and it was probably 25 degrees outside and a little warmer inside but my fingers were still cold even with the gloves on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Purchase The gloves were a gift to two of my grandaughters, ages 6 and 10 yrs. I was glad that there were several sizes to choose from because of my grandchildren 's size difference. They both fit perfectly. They wore them the same day and reported that they fit well and kept their hands warm while they rode and could handle the reins with no problem. Thank You.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Item I bought these gloves for my 9 year old daughter and she really liked them. The fit was good and I ordered a ladies small. Best used for warmer winter days and not for the firgid cold.
Date published: 2009-12-31
Rated 4 out of 5 by from keeps warm, to a point I live in new england and it get very cold, there gloves are good to a point by themselves, but when it gets to cold to wear these I put some hand warmers in to keep my hands warm, and it works fine. There has yet to be a glove that I can use in the winter that doesn't get my hands cold, but these are the warmest so far, they are a good investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful gloves I actually purchased this pair of gloves a s a Christmas present as I own a pair and think they are wonderful for in-between summer and full blown winter. They keep my hands warm even when temps are in the upper 20's but are not bulky.
Date published: 2009-12-30
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little loose I purchased these gloves because I was looking for something warm to wear on my hands that wouldn't be so bulky that I couldn't feel my horse. These fit the bill and are a great price. My only gripe is that they seem pretty loose through the hands, even though the fingers fit perfectly. Most gloves I buy fit snuggly in the hands. It does get in the way when I am working on tasks other than riding (ie tacking up/ grooming). While I am riding the looseness doesn't interfere at all.
Date published: 2009-12-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice gloves for nice price If you are looking for a light pair of grippy gloves these will fill the bill. Great gloves for the price. Average size hands might need a large. I ordered medium and they are a bit snug...
Date published: 2009-12-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase These gloves are great. They keep my daughters hands warm and the grippers are located in the best spots to help hold the reins.
Date published: 2009-12-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best gloves I just love these gloves. I use them to work on my horses farm. I mainly just use gloves in the winter and they are just enough to keep my hands warm and are not bulky. I usually buy 2 pairs for me and then I buy pair for each of my employees. I hope they do not discontinue this product!!!
Date published: 2009-12-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fall Gloves I wear these gloves in the fall when it's not too cold. Then move on to the next level of SSG gloves. Great for chores and riding. Not cumbersome and allow dexterity. Wash well in a mesh bag.
Date published: 2009-11-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Gloves This is my 2nd pair - I am always misplacing my original gloves, so I wanted a spare. These work great for riding indoors during the winter - they keep my hands warm, and yet they are thin enough for me to feel and control my reins.
Date published: 2009-11-11
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice all-around The SSG Fleece-Lined Winter Gripper gloves have been perfect in the 25-40 degree range. They are warm enough without being bulky, and the leather palm offers the right amount of grip. I don't have to keep taking them on and off while grooming. I wish they came in other colors! My only complaints: the palms got wet very easily when I rode outside, and then I was wearing cold, wet gloves. Also, the fleece back tends to attract the Velcro closures on my horse's boots. Also, they started to rip in the fingers after one full season (4 months).
Date published: 2009-04-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Gloves I cannot stand bulky winter gloves. Even in super-cold New England, I usually don't wear winter gloves because they're so clumsy and incapacitating. However, my crochet gloves are so uninviting when it's cold that I decided to give the SSG Fleece Lined Winter Gripper Gloves. They are SOOO nice and soft! They definitely keep your hands warm while allowing you to actually feel what's going on. Of course, if I was going to be working in the barn all day they're not THAT warm!
Date published: 2008-12-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous gloves These gloves are lightweight, not too bulky, and provide ample warmth. I'm very pleased with this inexpensive purchase! I have only had them a week, so I'm not sure about durability, but so far they are a good buy!
Date published: 2007-12-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter Gloves These gloves are warm without being bulky. They have a nice soft lining with a nice grip on the outside. They are easy to work and ride in. Great value at this price!!!!
Date published: 2007-12-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Them! I finally had to break down and buy a pair of winter gloves since it's been so cold. I don't normally like wearing gloves, so I didn't want something bulky. These fit the bill perfectly; they are a little bulky, but they're much less bulky than other winter gloves I've tried. They're very comfy and soft, and unbeatable for the price!
