These are not worth the being twice as expensive as the Shires slow feed nets. This is an over priced product.

Easy to load
This is a good hay net for this price. It holds more than the small nets and is durable. I like it!

Island Blue is a great color
Nice, in between sized holes that slow my horse down but don’t frustrate. Good size for several flakes. Really happy!

Super, EXCEPT
I use small hole hay nets to slow down the feeding process, and love these hays net, EXCEPT, the most recent acquisition was to be used for an Iclandic pony, and he has totally ravaged all 8 of those I purchased. Not just a little hole here and there, but 8" at a whack. This is NOT a complaint about the quality of the nets, but comment on the destructive behavior of this particular steed..... an imported, 12 year old gelding. Would appear they don't use hay nets in Iceland! = ) The nets are NOT indestructible! = (

Easy to fill
I like the size of the holes, the quality and it has enough structure to it to be easy to fill. I would have prefered a net with a heavier duty/different color drawstring as it is easier to find top, to open it up and to hang. But I’d still purchase this again for the other reasons.

Great hay net

Well made but hole size not as described.
I ordered 3 of these hay nets for my horses. I specifically picked these because they said the holes were 3 1/2”. Well I took that as 3 1/2 inches, but apparently it meant centimeters. These holes are way tinier than what I expected. Otherwise they seem well made. I just can’t use them.

Maybe changed manufacturer?
I've had two of these- my first one lasted me 2 1/2 years with fairly regular use before it finally got a hole torn in it. The second one only lasted about a week! I don't know if smartpak switched manufacturers between when I last bought one and now, or if that one was just faulty, but it was disappointing.

Did not last very long
This did a great job slowing my mare down on her hay eating, so much so that she had to bite at the hay so hard that she inadvertently tore through the strands of the net in several places, creating much bigger holes that I had to repair with zip ties. I think this would work well for a less aggressive hay eater, but I had to toss it and get the smartpak slow feed hay bag instead.

Love these!
I use a mix of these and the nylon net bags. These are super easy to fill as they fit in a muck bucket perfectly with the top folder over the edges. I prefer these for ease of use but I think the others hold up better.

2 Huge holes made in net after 1 night.
My very fat large pony has discovered he can cut the "net" with his teeth. This was a re-order, but first net lasted 3 months. Will have to move up in quality.

Only bought again due to sale price
These nets are decently priced when on sale, but they do not seem to last as long as other brands have with my horses. They get holes in them and will repair them with twine until there is no further use in trying.

Best net yet!!
I bought this net just about a month ago. I have been through them all!! I spent big money on a big bag that probably is best used in a trailer & not for everyday. This bag is the bomb! The horses slow down, small pieces can fall to the ground, and it's durable. The opening is larger than you would expect and you can easily fit it over 2 flakes of hay.

My favorite hay net!
I have tried MANY different slow feed hay nets over the years, and always come back to this one! They last forever and my horses are HARD on them, and easy to fill and hang anywhere you want!

Well....may be ok for some horses...
When this bag arrived, I loved it! Definitely smaller holes for my "very hungry" mare! But to my horror, when the hay supply got low (which is fast with her no matter how small the holes!), she had the lower corner of the bag, along with the remaining hay in her mouth, happily chewing away!! I quickly removed it from her mouth and took the bag away. The plastic mesh that this bag is made of is so thin, that I suppose it could be confused with hay. For nibblers, this hay bag might be just perfect! But if you have a horse that eats rather aggressively from feed bags, I would not recommend.

Flimsy
Its really only good for feeding in a horse trailer. My horse chewed through it in 4 days. I bought extra for gifts, how embarassing.

Not a slow feeder hay net
Bought this to replace the awesome shire slow feeder hay nets I got on SmartPak because they are no longer available at SmartPak but the holes in this hay net are too big. It is not the size advertised. I am currently double bagging the hay with these hay nets and the shire slow feeder hay nets. The hay lasts them all day now but I would prefer it be one hay bag.

Didn’t hold up to minimal use
I purchased two of these bags a while back and was very impressed with them at first. I only ever used one of them in the trailer and had the other as back up. I started using the second one with my laid back gelding and within two uses there are several rips in the net. I’m hoping I just received a faulty product as the other is still holding up quite well. Attached is a photo after two brief uses at horse shows.
