Love it!
I love this hay nets! They really slow the horse down. They can fit about four flakes of our 60% alfalfa 40% grass hay. I have had my oldest one for about two years now. It has no signs of wear. I just wish it came in teal/turquoise!

Perfect size!
Works great to encourage a more natural "grazing" for a very easy keeper. Size is great! Can pack it full and it lasts all day or all night. So far has been fairly durable for a horse that's hard on things.

NICE SIZE
I like the size of the bag, both in the size of holes and the amount of hay that fits in the bag

The diameter was not big enough. Had to return.
Very frustrating. I have bought many ultra slow hay bags. All of them could slip over a hay bale, and hold 1/2 bale.
This bag was way too small. Had to ship back and PAY for shipping. Afraid to buy anything else.

Easy to fill and hang
Love this hay bag. The opening is large and I can fit it around my plastic tub to hold it open and fill. Holes are small enough that the horse has to work for it but not so small the horse gets frustrated. Love the color choices. I purchased 2 and if the need arises I'd order more.

Well made bag
Well constructed. Has lasted so far. Wish it was a little more flexible but not a huge issue

Holds up well
I use these with my hay hoop net holders and they hold up well. I have some aggressive eaters and these make it about 6 months without holes.

Exceptional! Holding up very well.
Needed a net to soak hay and prevent my mare from burying her nose in the hay. This serves the purpose perfectly. It's getting daily, hard use and holding up well. My only aggravation is the net is hard to fill even after 3 weeks use. Due to the close knit it isn't as loose as other nets. It doesn't stay stretched open to fill.

Great Bags for the price
I have been using restrictive hay bags for many years before they became popular and have tried many different brands I can say this bags are the best quality for their price. I have bags that have lasts 3 years before they start to wear.

Best hay net on the market!
I have experimented with quite a few different styles of hay nets and I have been using this one for about 2 years now. Its my favorite, great price point, and good quality. The holes on this hay net are not to small they are a perfect size, they slow your horse down but don't make it impossible to eat. Also love that I can fit about 6 flakes of hay in this net!

Great Hay Net
I have a horse that gobbles down his hay, This net has definitely slowed down my horse and makes his hay last longer, perfect for horses on stall rest.

What happened?
I Have ordered many hay nets over the years. However, on the past 2 orders there were some issues with the quality of the nets. The opening "rope" knotted too short, making it difficult to fill. Also some frayed areas causing concern as to how long they will last. Quality control issues. Disappointing.

small and mighty
Love this net the small holes slows down time it takes to eat and the bag is "mighty" large. It is big enough to keep my horse busy for hours when he is at show and stalled for long hours

Pretty good
Nice large size & long tie rope that doesn't come out every time you open it to fill. Would like to see even smaller holes of 1" size to slow down the eating more. Nylon not as heavy duty as another brand I have, has developed a few holes. I've used some baling twine to close them up. My horses are barefoot so I just leave on ground and they step on net to hold it.

Lasted A Week
This hay net only lasted about a week for me. My horse has used other hay nets before with no problem, but this one developed a giant hole and became unusable. I've been trying to contact Smartpak asking for a refund but haven't heard back. This is the only negative experience I've had with smartpak or any of their products. I'm using the SmartPak hay bag now with much success.

not sturdy enough
At first I liked this net for its softness and hole size -- it hit the sweet spot, slowing my voracious draft-cross gelding down just a bit, without frustrating him. However, in three weeks he has destroyed two of the three nets I bought. I tried patching them, but he had realized he could rip holes in them so I gave up. Found another brand that has a sturdier gauge of nylon netting. So far they are holding up better. For a less aggressive eater they might work just fine, but not for my guy.

Big, hard to fill
We've only been using this bag for about a week, so I don't know how well it will last. It's much bigger than my other bag. We can stuff it with 15lbs of hay pulled from a large round bale. The holes are big enough to make my horse work to eat, but not so small to frustrate him. There's very little mess on the ground.
What I don't like about the bag is the opening. The loops there are very big and since this is a fairly thin nylon, they just flop, making it difficult to hold the bag open to fill it.
Since my horse will be eating from bags year around for the foreseeable future, I hope this thin nylon lasts a while.

Doesn't slow down "the glutton" any too much
It slows down the very greedy feeder some but, sadly, not enough
I think for most horses it would do a fine job

Large size but not sure on the quality
I bought this bag to use in the trailer and pasture. The size is great as I can load a good amount of hay and the nylon mesh material is soft. Unfortunately I've only used it for a couple of weeks and it's already started fraying at several knots. I ended up purchasing another more durable bag and use this one as a back-up.

Hay net hole size
Small holes are same as my 2" Hay net. I was expecting 1-1/2" holes. Not what I was expecting.

Net is fine, hole measurement is innacurate
These nets have 5cm holes, not 3.5cm, making them not actually a slow feed net. These will work well if you want to keep hay contained, but 2" holes do not actually slow vigorous eating horses down.

Made well.
I bought this to feed my horse that is on rehab from a cut leg.
It lets him have hay all day and not become so bored with being in a small enclosure.

Net is pretty good, rope handle is a pain
Bought 4 of these hay nets for my 3 horses. 1 bag was chewed through within a week, but the other 3 are working. The worst part of this product is the rope handle. Comes not tied, so it's a pain to put several knots in it, plus it's AWFUL to twist up which keeps one from opening the net to fill or empty!!! Does reduce some hay waste, but really hate that rope handle. Am going to try another type, your nylon slow feed hay bag, to see how that works. Hate to have to pay that much but have had enough frustration with that rope handle!!!
