Great Dupe if you dont need size 48"
The leather are a great dupe for another major name brand. however the design team made one major flaw when designing the different size leathers. They didnt shorten the wide part length wise on the 48" compared to the 54" So the 48" can only go as short as the 54" even though there's more holes you can't use them due to this oversight. honestly I prefer these thickness wise to the name brand ones but they are not functional for the size I need so returning. I have used the other brand leathers for a year now and do like them besides the bulk which smartpak fixed if they could just get the dimensions right it would be amazing.

Really like them
This is a fairly small change from regular leathers, but for me, it makes a huge difference.
Comfortable, give increased stability and a fine improvement.

Color wears off quickly
I have had these for a year now, but meant to give a review way sooner! Sadly, the color wore off the leg portion within a few months. Not there’s some “chipping” almost like paint chipping off on the softer keeper section. The leather isn’t as supple as expected and is what I would explain as a covered leather feeling? Like it’s covered in synthetic coloring. Now the plus side is they do their job - they are wide stability leathers. I would just expect they wore better since I also took 4 months of this year off and they still look like this.

not short enough
I really like most aspects of these leathers, they make my leg feel more stable and the price is much better than other brands. However, the part where the stirrup sits is too thick so you cannot shorten your stirrups past the middle few holes. I wish they made these in a shorter size or made the wide part shorter to allow for more room for the stirrup to move. I also noticed the color wearing off on some parts as well.

Great leathers
These stirrups are great, I was able to try them for a lesson with the lesson horse's saddle and liked them so I bought some for my saddle. They don't pinch, are comfy, and I feel more stable.

So comfortable!
My leg feels so much steadier with these leathers! They feel high quality and sturdy. I ordered the 54” leathers and I may have to punch a few holes if they stretch out further or if someone very short rides in my saddle, but I am used to punching holes in leathers and don’t see this as an issue with the product. I would absolutely recommend these (and have already!)

Color rubbing off!
My friend suggested this type stirrup leather to help with leg stability over large jumps. I can't speak about functionality yet since I have only used them 3-4x but the color of the leather is already rubbing off under the buckles and stirrups. I have not used any leather product that would cause this. The excess leather (that tucks into a hole in the saddle flap) also tends to ride up under my leg when riding, although this may stop once they are broken in. Ultimately, they may end up a different color but you get what you pay for.

Nice and cost effective option to French brands
Pros - Nice and padded leather, the wide leather portion is much less rough on the underside compared to the Millbrooks. Cost-effective. Nice shade of brown.
Cons - Sizing, the jump from 48 to 54 is big. I'm 5' 7" with long legs and would have done a 50 or even 52. I'll be on the top or one down from the top to jump, but if I were to get the 48s, would be at hole 4 ish to do trot sets, so neither option is great. I went with the 54", but most are not going to be able to ride in my saddle without having to roll or swap out leathers, which is a pain.
Will have to see if they hold up better than other SP leathers do!
