Good quality
I purchased a new saddle recently and ordered these stirrup straps to match the saddle. The leather is sturdy and strong, but not stiff. Very workable for adjusting stirrup size for different riders and the holes are numbered for quick changes. Love them!

Do Not Last
I bought these in July and used them about 1-2 a week until early December. In that time these have become very stretched and warped around where they buckle and the color has somehow chipped off in spots. They looked nice when I got them and they are comfortable to use, I have to give them that, but they have since become pretty ugly. And this is with very low use, I'd hate to see how they looked if I'd been using them daily. Also the sizing is weird, I got the standard 54" ones and I'm 5'6" with fairly long legs and these were on the second to shortest hole. Every other set of 54" I've had I've been firmly around the middle of the holes.

Short for size 54" and bulky.
I had high hopes for these. I hate them. Way too short for 54" and bulky. I can already tell they won't last. I hope to return them. Don't waste your money.

Good quality leathers
These lined stirrup leathers are just what I hoped for. Lovely narrow width leather, nice stitching, and well marked holes. I am very pleased and the service was exceptional!

Bulky clunky to move
These feel nice but are bulky and clunky, they do not slim down as they are used. I wish I could return.

Beautiful stirrup leathers
I got these for my new saddle, and they look incredible! I love the stitching, which gives them that refined edge compared to a standard stirrup leather.

not the best quality
They are rather narrow and do not seem to be the best quality leather or very sturdy. However, I will keep them since they are for a standbye saddle.

I bought these a few weeks ago and really like how they look and feel on my saddle. Matched my Havana saddle perfectly too.

Follow Up To Last Review
Well I already left one review about these leathers, and them stretching significantly when I went to half seat, and being uneven in length. SmartPak then asked me to review my purchase (again?) and this time, I have had them another week so maybe 2-3 weeks total, and the top layer of the leather (dark brown) has rubbed off significantly, exposing this light brownish pink color underneath. I have ridden in these stirrup leathers a dozen times (max) and they look horrible already. I expect so much better from SmartPak, but please, stay away and do not disappoint yourself like I did, shell out for slightly more expensive ones before you're out $50!

Feel Like They Could Snap Any Minute
Out of the packaging these looked like really nice leathers. However, After putting my stirrups on them and saddling up. I was very disappointed the holes were not even, like holes 4 and 6 matched up, 3 and 5, 5 and 7, etc. I thought it was maybe my legs uneven, but I've never had this issue before. Then I picked up the trot and when I went to post my I could feel them stretch, I thought I was going to fall off. I re-adjusted, them a hole shorter. Then when I went to canter in half seat (these are on my jump saddle not dressage) the same thing happend my leg dropped way lower than where it was. I feel very unstable riding in these, but honestly can't afford anything else. I bought them out of desperation when my 15 year old Pessoa pair broke. I do not think these will hold up to daily use nor be safe for XC riding.

just getting worse and worse
I left a previous review on these leathers and mentioned how they seemed good quality but were bulky, way too long, and they dye was easily rubbed off. its been a few months since then and all the problems have gotten worse. the leathers were too long in the first place and now that they have stretched out more than an inch I can hardly use them anymore because they were already on the top hole. they dye continued to rub off for weeks and ended up staining my tan show breeches. the one time I fell off and was able to get myself back in the saddle with one stirrup that stirrup stretched out a ton, so much that I had to lengthen the non stretched stirrup just they would be even. extremely disappointed in this product and wish I would have just returned them when I had the chance.

Melted while on my saddle
I bought these stirrup leathers about a year ago and since then they have melted and are now very sticky. When I go to adjust them my gloves/hands get covered in a sticky brown paste.

Not terrible , wouldn’t recommend
These stirrups run really long , the paint chipped rather quickly but they’re still usable . I had to wrap them so that could have something to do with it but if purchasing I would consider getting a smaller size than what you truly are. Could work as minimally used schooling stirrups

Thick but gorgeous
i recieved these in the mail a few weeks ago, shipping was quicker than expected and nothing was damaged. ive never owned lined stirrup leathers so i wasnt quite sure what to expect. first of all, they dont seem to be as soft or flexible as people made them out to be so they took a while to break in. i am 5'6 so id say im a pretty average sized person. however, despite measuring myself and all my old leathers, these were long. on the top hole they are perfect for flat work but since i spend most of my time jumping they are bit too long. id say if you are 5'8 and up these will work perfectly but if you arent i would reccomed getting the size 48. overall these stirrups are high quality but a bit thick and long.

Paint like leather chipped off! Quickly!
I bought two new pairs of these about 2-3 months ago for jumping and dressage saddle. The paint like leather is peeling off from the buckle. I only ride my one horse 5 days a week. So it’s not like they have seen that much use.

Very pretty but stiff
I purchased two pairs of these stirrups, for my dressage and jump saddle. They are beautiful with the white stitching and have a nice thickness to them. However, they were quite stiff and are pretty slippery. They required quite a bit of use and leather conditioning to soften up. Overall, they are not terrible for the price point - I would rate them as average.

Picture didn’t match product
The pictures of these stirrup leathers are the same for a couple other stirrup leathers on the website. The pictures are also not overly clear as to determine the true color, texture and quality. I think if you’re looking for a cheaper stirrup leather this would work just fine.

pretty stitching
I have these in brown and black and I love them. The white stitching is pretty, but not too flashy. They hold up well and stretch slowly.

Nice leathers, spacing on holes was an issue
So, these came in and were nice leathers overall. Ordered the black which had clear contrasting white stiching. Didn't expect the contrast on the stiching to be so strong but no doubt that would fade in time.
I liked these leathers but ended up returning them primarly becuase I could really feel the buckle under my leg. Not necessarily due to the leathers but I think likely more due to my saddle. The leather had to work well for both my legs and my trainer's longer legs. They just made it.
I kept these leathers and compared them to the M. Toulouse Stirrup Leathers which I planned to replace them with. I was surprised the Smartpack leathers have holes which are really closely spaced. The M. Toulouse leathers had much wider spacing --- about 2x more of the leather had holes as opposed to the Smartpak ones. So, holes don't seem to be standard. Something to keep in mind when buying the leathers. I think you get better range in the widely space holes which work well if multiple people are using leathers.

Good quality, well made!
Bought these about a month ago, and I’m really pleased with them! Most lined/“plush” stirrup leathers I’ve seen on the market can be $100+, so I was nervous these might be lesser quality, but this truly is an example of a great value! My only complaint is that they’re a tiny bit squeaky against the saddle so I’d recommend oiling them frequently to get them to soften up. Would absolutely buy them again, though, I hope they hold up long!

Terrible Leathers
I bought these a couple of months ago and the leather is already falling apart and rubbing off near the saddle. The leather is terrible and very hard. They are very hard to adjust and uncomfortable to ride in. I am normally very pleased with SmartPak's products but I was very disappointed in these.

Nice leathers, a little noisy
These leathers have been sturdy and comfortable for riding. They are a little squeaky/noisy. Hopefully that will continue to get better as they break-in.

Nice, inexpensive stirrup leather, but stretches
I’ve had these for several years, riding approx 4x week... These started out great! Low profile buckle, nice leather, all was good. Until this Spring, when I noticed that my stirrups were always feeling uneven. I finally compared the leathers, and there is a 2+ inch difference between the two! So much for lined leathers not stretching. But, I have had them for years...so may get another pair. I just don’t recall my Prestige leathers stretching much at all.

Not the same product
I bought a pair of the SmartPak Lined Stirrup Leathers in 2015 and like them quite a bit. For the price point, the quality was good and they have held up to regular use. I used the "Reorder" option to order a set for a new saddle, and what I received is very different from my previous order. These new once are narrower (more like a child's stirrup leather) and the leather is poor quality.
