Watch out for rubs :(
Bought this for my large pony (cobs size) last summer and within a day he had rubs underneath his jaw and on his cheeks. Eventually I had to give the fly mask away because it was not helping him at all, just making him uncomfortable.

Nose attachment doesn’t last
I’ve had two of these fly masks for a few weeks and the mask part is great but the zipper part keeps breaking off. One mask the stitching came undone the other the zipper parts came apart. SmartPak was kind enough the replace the first one that broke but I’m thinking maybe it’s time to try another brand. The mask part is great just how the nose attaches has all the problems. My horses are out 12+ hours a day so maybe they will hold up to just a few hours use a day.

Great Mask that Fits Well
This is a nice mask with nice soft fleece above the eyes. Loved that I could order it in a cob size for my smaller faced QH. my only complaint is that it doesn’t have a spot to pull through their forelock and she has a ton so I usually have to leave it braided.

My horse wears his mask every day. I love that it is sturdy yet has fleece lining inside around his ears. The velcro closure is thick and strong. The entire mask is durable and the elonged flap protects his nose from flies and sunburn.

wonderful fly mask
I bought 2, one for each. My Arab kept pulling his off so I cut the ears off and now he wears it all day, no problem. The App keeps his on just fine. I'm in Fl. and these masks are durable and a great protectant against flies.

Not good for small horses.
We have 3 horses and the fly mask are either to big or to small. My 13.2 hand pony always wheres A cob and the cob is almost 2 small! The other two are always horse sized. And the horse size was to big but the cob would have been way to small. River was the only one was that got the deluxe. And the nose attachment is to long. In the picture he had it folded up in 15 minutes of having it on. If there was a small horse size it would be perfect!

Not a good mask for my horses
I really liked the fly mask when it arrived. I ordered one for both of my horses. It is well made and seemed to fit. Unfortunately within a week of wearing this mask both horses developed rub marks on both side of their noses where the extended nose piece attached.

Fits good.
Just recently bought the SmartPak Delux Fly in cob size. Cob sizes are sometimes don't fit well, this one is really nice and it looks comfortable on him. I like the zipper on the nose piece and the fluff on the inside around the ears.

Can't recommend
Let's face it. All fly masks take a beating out in the paddock. If you make it through
half the summer (in CT anyway) with a fly mask you've done well. I ordered the Smartpak
Deluxe Fly Mask and was pleasantly surprised. It seemed to be really well made. I thought
the detachable nose portion a real plus. Well, after two days of 24/7 wearing one of my horses had removed it. I found it in the paddock/ The slide is gone so it cannot be reattached.
If the removable feature appeals to you I'd recommend purchase a model where the nose portion is attached with velcro.

Wanted to love it
I bought this for my 17.3 hh warmblood. I loved it out of the box. The zippered nose part was ideal. Then he came in from being in his paddock and the zippered part was gone. I found it and zipped it back together. The next day same thing. He isn’t destructive and goes out alone so it’s just a defective product. It still functions without the nose part. I have a friend who has a smaller horse with the same fly mask and hers hasn’t lost the nose part so I guess it’s just hit or miss! But it keeps the bugs off his face and out of his ears so it is what it is

Fits Well
I bought this for 2 of my horses and it fits them nicely and I love the large velcro that wont stretch like many fly masks. I also LOVED that the nose piece zips off so I can easily clean it as that part always gets dirty faster. I was disappointed that one of my guys has already ripped the nose slightly. I think it must have been faulty or something cause the other horse hasn't caused any damage to his. I also wish SmartPak would add a spot to connect my fly sheet to the fly mask. I have matching SmartPak fly sheets that have an attachment on the neck piece to attach to a halter but I usually put it through the forelock whole to keep the neck piece up since I don't turnout with halters. I would love if they add something to connect the fly sheet to. If the one fly mask hadn't been faulty on the nose piece I would give 5 stars, maybe I can sew it back together.

Love the strong velcro
You can't have enough fly masks, and this one seems very comfortable. Fleece lining in the right places, sizing is correct, the nose isn't too long, and the big velcro enclosure is really strong. Just one thought was that the tags were placed in an area that my horse is frequently itchy, so I cut them out. No big deal.
Can't speak to durability yet since the season just started.

Oops, they forgot something!
I bought the deluxe mask, hood and fly sheet. The hood has a Velcro flap to connect it to the mask (so the hood can stay up). BUT there’s no connection point on the mask. I had to dig out my grubby Cashel mask - which does have a connection point. So, the mask is going back.

BEST COVERAGE of any fly mask available!
This is my second year buying this mask. My horses are prone to summer sores, and this mask BY FAR provides the BEST coverage around the mouth/muzzle area of any mask available. It is sturdy, attractive, and well-made. Even though flies obviously can still reach the sores, this mask is a MUST HAVE for me to keep my horses as covered as possible as I treat them.

Poor Sizing
I was so excited to try this fly mask for my sensitive OTTB who often has rubs and also has a white nose prone to sunburn. Unfortunately I am so disappointing with the fit of this mask. To be fair he does have an odd shaped head, requiring a cob length and full size around the nose. I decided to try the cob first afraid that the full would be to long. While the length of the cob was perfect as expected, it was so tight I could barely get the velcro closed, resulting in rubs after only one use. I decided to try the full size, thinking if worse come to worse I will just remove the nose portion if it is too long. Well wrong again, not only is full way too long it is also so big around I am certain he will pull it off immediately. I did not even try putting him out in it. The sizing on this product is so off, I do not understand how the cob is too small to close, yet the full is so big I again can't close the velcro because the fabric on each side overlaps that the velco cannot stick. What a huge disappointment, I love SmartPak but this just does not work!

Disappointing quality, barely lasting a summer
I bought 4 of these in the spring. Smartpak was out of the leading brand and my white-nosed horses were getting sunburned so i thought i’d give these a try. The first thing to give way was the seam on the pull tab for the Velcro strap - pull tabs came off all 4 masks within 2 weeks. Next to go were the seams on the ear holes - all 4 masks have at least one ear hole where the fabric and fleece have separated from the body of the masks. Now in late summer, most of the ear fabric has big rips and the 2 layers of the Velcro straps are steadily coming unsewn. I will have to toss all 4 masks at the end of the season, and normally i get at least 2 summers out of the leading brand masks. My horses aren’t hard on their masks, generally leave them alone. Very disappointing, can’t recommend.

Fell Apart In One Week....
This came as part of my "free" package, and the extended nosepiece upper zipper part already came off of *two* out of *two* of them. I also see the velcro attachment for the mask is also coming apart. I was first happy with these - I like the longer nose piece for the flies and my gelding has a big white blaze that it would help protect from the sun, but I am glad I did not pay for these since they fell apart so fast.

Poor quality
I bought this mask at the start of summer to use on my horses . . I just started using it two weeks ago and sadly it is already tearing in multiple places . The velcro is falling off , and the zipper that holds the nose piece on is also falling off . Not to mention it is coming apart at multiple seams . Wishing I would have just stuck with my usual brand of fly mask .
