Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product My trainer suggested that I get bit guards for a loose ring bevel bit. The guards are made of soft pliable rubber and were relatively easy to slide over bit. And, the horse seems happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do there job! I needed these because my bit was slightly sliding in my horses mouth. They look nice and get the job done from stopping the sliding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product, great price works well to prevent my elevator bit from pinching my horse's mouth. good quality rubber that also easily stretched to get them on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Easy Fix Solution Bought these so my sensitive Arab cross wouldn't get pinched by his loose ring and they seem to work great. They do add just a little bit of width so I wouldn't recommend them if your bit is already the perfect fit. They don't bother him and were easy to put on with a little hot water (heated up in my electric tea kettle that I have with my tack). Definitely recommend the hot water trick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Fit Easy stretch over the bit and they are lasting so far!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from How do people use these? I purchased these as a preventative measure to accompany a new bit that only came in loose ring in a 6" (for my draft cross mare). While the bit guards are of good quality and were easy to put on and take off, I couldn't keep them OUT of my horse's mouth! I'd get one side out and the other side would flop right in as she was, quite understandably, chewing and pushing around her tongue. After about a minute of fighting with them, I gave up and took everything apart again. She'll just have to risk getting pinched.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok for a cheap, quick fix I purchased these bit guards to use temporarily on a loose ring snaffle to prevent pinching while I searched for a bit with a fixed ring of some sort that my horse liked. They were fairly easy to put on and didn't appear to break at that time, but I'm already noticing some cracks and irregularities forming in the rubber after less than 2 weeks use on a single horse/ride per day.I've definitely used sturdier ones in the past, but as a temporary fix that came with the rest of my smart pak order, I was still happy with them.
