Not a bad halter for the price
This was bought on sale for an Arabian gelding with a petite head. I choose the cob size and with all the correct holes it fits him perfectly. This will be used for everyday wear and I believe it will hold up to it.

Beautiful Halter
I absolutely love this halter! I purchased the black one and had it personalized for my mare. You can't beat the price and the quality of leather exceeded what I expected. It's a little stiff but very soft, I just spent a little time working the leather and it's perfect. I love the soft padding on the crown and noseband, very nice!
My first halter came in with the engraving slightly off but SmartPaks amazing customer service came through and replaced it free of charge, no issues what so ever. I can't speak enough about how wonderful their customer service is and how helpful the staff are.
I definitely recommend this halter, I have received compliments from my vet, farrier and fellow boarders on how nice it is and when I tell them it's from SmartPak and price they can't believe I didn't pay at least twice as much for it!

AMAZING QUALITY
I bought this halter a few weeks ago and it fits perfectly, the leather is great quiality, and the engraving looks phenomenal. I love how it has padding on the noseband and the part that goes behind the ears. It also has amazing detail and the hardware is sturdy. The quality of the halter is totally worth the price!

Beautiful halter with very nice padding, soft supple leather. Cob size fit my Arab gelding perfectly and when he spooked and tried to pull away from being tied, the halter held (unlike his last halter that broke). I will be purchasing again.

Amazing quality for the price
This halter is gorgeous! I bought it after my other leather halter broke and i was shocked at the quality! The leather is very soft and supple right out of the box. Like everyone has been saying it does fit a bit strange (this in a cob size fits the same as my last leather halter in a full) but nothing a size down can’t fix. Looks great at shows and at the barn. I also use it when lunging and it’s held up very well. Love the padding and the fancy stitching, and it looks great with a name plate!

This is a beautiful halter and it is really nice quality. I wouldn't change anything but the small scratch that it came with on the noseband. Otherwise it's the perfect halter, and I think my horse loves it too!

Beautiful Halter, but has weak keepers!
I purchased 2 of these in the past year or so. I can say the leather is very soft, beautiful and supple right out of the box and they look wonderful with the name plate option. However, the nose band keeper broke on both which causes the halter to then fall off the horse as the buckle no longer stays closed. This halter will hold up nicely for light use for shows etc, but does not hold up for any kind of turnout, trailering, etc.

Nice quality for the price!
I bought this knowing my horse destroys his halters. The leather was a little stiff coming out of the package and it was definitely very large. Fortunately the halter fit my thoroughbred 16.1 hh guy on all of the last available holes to make it shorter, but if you're questioning, definitely go smaller than you wound anticipate. Comments have been made at how nice the halter is and looks like it could be a show halter. I plan on buying another one to actually be his show halter. Oh and he already tried to destroy it and its holding up well! Only broke the keeper on the noseband.

Soft leather right out of the box!
I’m extremely pleased with this halter so far. I ordered the black cob (for my QH) since so many reviews said the full size is so large, but ended up having to exchange it for a full size. The cob was tiny!! SmartPak was great about the exchange and I had the full size in no time.
I hope the hardware holds up over time.

Amazing Halter for the Price
I read the reviews and alot of people said a cob would fit a normal size horse head or full. I'm glad I ordered a cob for my mom's Missouri Fox Trotter, it fits her perfectly! She is stunning in it! Great price too! When it came out of the box it need a little conditioner to soften it up though but after that it cleaned up beautifully. Definitely would recommend to anyone for a fancy barn or show halter.

Love this halter!
This halter has is awesome!!! I love it so much it has soft leather and looks great on my horse! Only problem is it ran a little big so the full size fits more like an oversize and the cob fits like a full.

Great Quality
I really love this leather halter, and the padding on the crown and noseband are super squishy. They definitely run small, I use a Cob on my 16.3 mare, who doesn’t have a dainty head in my opinion. But there are a lot of buckle adjustments if needed. I am using this as her every day halter, so it will be put through the elements, but it feels like it will hold up great.

Really nice halter esp at this price! Leather is soft but breaks in even more pretty quickly. Looks great, my horse needed an upgrade and we're both really happy with this halter! The clip is an important feature in my book, and it is sturdy and well made, so another thumbs up from me!

Beautiful Halter!
I bought this for my TB mare. Very soft leather and durable at the same time! Seems to run just a little big (nothing a hole punch can't fix - could also be her dainty features haha). Would definitely buy again.

Beautiful halter for the price!
Pros: It's a beautiful color (I ordered the chocolate brown and it's lovely and rich), and it's well-made for the price (comparable to some of SmartPak's padded bridles -- you'll probably want to soak it for a while to get some flexibility in the leather, but once it's soaked it's lovely). I ordered one with a customized nameplate on it, and that came out beautifully -- it matches the color of the hardware, too, which is nice. Very attractive halter, for sure!
Con: it's a little oddly sized. My gelding is 17h (maybe a hair larger) and the Horse size hung off his head even on the smallest holes! SmartPak was so kind to send me a replacement halter, with the nameplate transferred to this new one, in the Cob size. This one fits him much better, at least through the crown (he's on the second-to-loosest holes on each side), though it is on the verge of being a little snug through the noseband (on the loosest or second-to-loosest hole, I can't remember) and throatlatch (not itself adjustable). Again, this Cob size fits him well enough that I'm certainly going to keep it, but just wanted to mention it for other buyers' benefit! Don't buy the Horse size unless you've got a draft or something with a hammerhead!!

Black Halter has Brass Hardware
Just received yesterday. Halter does run large, but is supple and padding is soft. Only concern is that the hardware is definitely brass and not stainless steel as described. I don't mind brass, but am concerned whether it is brass plated or solid brass, as halter hangs outside in the weather when horse is turned out. Customer service is looking into discrepancy and has promised to exchange if halter does not hold up well (ie. hardware starts to rust).

Very Pretty
I bought this halter for shows and the fancy stitching is perfect for it. The leather is a little stiff out of the box, but it looks great and I'm sure it will loosen up with use. And for the price, it's perfect.
This halter runs large though. I purchased a cob for my QH and it's a good fit. The engraving option is a nice touch that is worth the price.

fits and looks good!
My leather halters were so old and chewed up that this was a welcome addition to the barn! Fits most horses, the leather was fairly stiff when it came but is loosening up as I use it
