My horse loves it!
I switched from the Myler Western snaffle with hooks to this bit and my horse has really responded to it.

Great Bit for Sensitive Tongue Horses
My thoroughbred gelding hates (and I mean HATES!) tongue pressure - it makes him incredibly anxious to the point he would brace against the bridle with no pressure on the reins (I could be standing on the ground next to him not touching the reins) getting himself worked into a tizzy. At first I thought he was biting on the bit but when I looked closer he was actually sucking his tongue down to the bottom of his jaw and as far back as he could get it trying not to touch the bit. I wanted something that would stay off his tongue but not get into his palette and this bit does that. He is so much more relaxed and happy in this bit. It's not a cure all and he still sometimes sucks his tongue (it's a habit that will take time to break) but he gets over it so much faster than he used to. Very happy!

My mare loves this bit!
I recently transitioned to Myler bits after my mare decided she did not care for the french link or the HS Dynamic rs sensogan snaffle I bought. I went to a local tack shop and bought a used Myler 33 with rings (I now use this for jumping) that had been recommended to me because of it's tongue relieving properties. My mare was instantly happier, accepting contact (for the first time ever since I've owned her), and no longer chomping at the bit anxiously. She must have a very low palate, because this change worked wonders for her. I purchased the 33WL Dee through smartpak because of it being dressage legal, and my girl has been putting in her best work to date on the flat. They are a little pricey, but the quality can't be beat. Love Myler! Won't ever ride in anything else.

This bit has great tongue relief and is gentle enough that my horse enjoys it but firm enough that we are still able to work well.

Good Bit Overall
I like the way this bit works for my horse. It's perfect for a well trained horse that dislikes tongue pressure. A caution is it should not be used on a sensitive horse or in inexperienced hands. One issue is that it is really squeaky, but if you soak it in vegetable oil then clean it with a toothbrush and toothpaste it works wonders!

Very nice bit
This is a great bit for a horse that tends to lean on one rein or drop a shoulder. The swivel joint acts more like a Mullen mouth (versus traditional snaffle joints) which allows use of each rein independently to lift the shoulder and the bit does not pull thru the mouth. I am told that it is USEF legal for dressage , too. All Myler bits that I have tried are absolutely amazing!

I only wish this bit came in a 5.25" size!
I was riding the horse I lease in a full cheek corkscrew snaffle and she was a bit heavy and hanging on the bit, and so the corkscrew was causing her to develop sores in the corners of her lips where the bit was rubbing. She has always worn a 5.5" bit so I ordered this bit in that size to give it a try. While she LOVES this bit and it has greatly improved her flexibility, heaviness, and general attitude during work, it is about .25" too big. I tried the 5" and it was too small....Myler needs to make this bit in quarter inch sizes. I have opted to keep her in the 5.5" because I figure a bit too big is better than to small, but I'd feel 100% satisfied with this bit if the sizing was more exact.
