My new favorite breech!
I have been searching for an everyday breech as comfortable and stylish as my TS breeches. Hated the scratchy Piper material, nothing fit the same until these! Cool, comfortable, flattering, beautiful fabric and true to size. With back pockets and sock bottoms! I didn't think it possible, but I PREFER these to the Tailoreds and at half the price.

Great Breeches with Terrific Cut For Slim Riders
Both my daughters are very leggy and have really small waists. They love these breeches especially since they hate the velcro tab leg closure on the TS. Nice quality fabric that washes really nicely.

Leg Rides Up
I bought the navy Hadley knee patch breeches in a 28R, the same size I wear in Tailored Sportsman. Unlike the TS, the Hadley breeches started creeping up my leg in the middle of a lesson. Very disconcerting! The suede patch was almost completely above my boot after dismounting. The next time I wore them, I tried tight knee socks over the breeches to hold them down. It helped a little but they still creeped up a bit and it’s really too hot for high socks. This fit issue is a shame because I love the style, fabric and price. Maybe I should’ve ordered a long.

Nice Breech, good for price
Bought these breeches while searching for a replacement for the Smartpak Alexus breech. The material on the Hadley is a little thin, and I would say they're on the low end of mid-rise. That said, they're nice breeches and I like them a lot, they fit well and I bought the size I usually wear for breeches and it was the correct size. I'm definitely considering buying another pair.

In love!
So glad I trusted the other reviewers & tried these out!! As a TS brand-brat, I was prepared to be non-plussed, but didn’t feel like shelling out for schooling breeches. I find these actually more flattering, better fitting, and equally as comfortable as the TS. I like the fabric better as well, dries easily & dirt just brushes right off. I get lots of compliments on them, too! My only complaint is the knee patches are too light - these aren’t stain resistant so they do get dirty/darker in spots. Please darken the tan or match them like the navy!

My most favorite breeches!
These breeches are my hands down favorite! Love the fabric - washes incredibly well! These breeches looks fantastic - excellent for schooling to look professional! These breeches wear incredibly well and are so fashionable with the contrasting knee patches!

Excellent for Hot Weather
I got these breeches when they first came out but sat in my closet for months mainly because they were so pretty I didn't want to possibly ruin them by wearing them to much. But earlier this summer after Texas heat + humidity proved to be to much for another brand I owned (read chafing), I decided to pull these out. I am SO HAPPY I did. They wick sweat away and repel dust, dirt, and water and still look amazing. NO CHAFING! They wear amazingly well and have great stretch but still keep their shape after a long day. They have become my go-to breech!

My New Favorite Breech
I am a 29 year old hunter/jumper and have been riding my whole life. I I've tried about every brand and style of breech out there! I must say that these Hadley Knee Patch Breeches now tie Tailored Sportsmans as my favorite breeches ever. I wear a size 28R in TS and a size 28R in these-- so they run true to size. These breeches are very well made. The material is structured enough to be flattering, stretchy enough to fit well, and the colors are rich and gorgeous. The rise is the perfect combination between essential coverage (hoof-picking approved!) and modern styling. There are little details on the breech that allude to the quality and thoughtfulness which has been put into these breeches. I have two pairs now and will make that 3 pairs as soon as the next color I want comes back in stock ;)!! The price point is excellent (especially if you look out for the occasional sales) and they are the perfect breech for schooling in classier venues such as shows. Two wishes: 1. I wish SmartPak would make a similar breech for men (my husband would kill for something like these!)
2. I would love if the tan breech had a contrasting knee patch (similar to the tailored sportsmans) for showing purposes. I could probably be converted over from TS 100% if the tan version of these had the darker patch.

Comfy breech, material snags
I bought a pair of these at Rolex this year to give them a try. I love the fit and look. They are super comfy to wear. However, I was very disappointed when after only a few wears the material started snagging. It started looking fuzzy instead of smooth. And one snag left a thread showing. I’m not easy on my breechs as I do everything in them, but I thought for the price they’d hold up better.

Best fitting breeches I have ever tried
This review is only speaking to the style and fit of the breeches, I can't speak for the durability as I have not ridden in them yet. With that being said.....these are my favorite fitting breeches EVER!!!! I really was not crazy about the pipers at all, the fabric was too heavy and they ran on the bigger side and stretched out as you wore them becoming baggy through the legs and butt. They also had some gaping at the waist for me. The Hadley's in the same size fit me so much better. For reference I am a size 26, 115-120 lbs and 5'5. I am thin but have wider hips. I ordered based off of the measurements on the size chart and they fit perfectly, pretty true to size but if you are between sizes I would probably size up. They are very flattering overall on my body shape and the rise hits just below the belly button, so it is more of a mid-rise which I prefer for my shape. The fabric is similar to the Tailored Sportsmans which I like more than the fabric the Pipers are made out off. I would recommend these strongly over the Pipers, they are on the pricey side for schooling breeches but they are worth it in my opinion, and the tan could even be used as a show breech. I plan on buying more pairs soon!

High hopes, but...
I originally purchased these in a size up from my normal size, as the reviews suggested. That pair was huge; too large in the waist, too large in the legs, so I ordered a replacement in my normal Piper size. Unfortunately, there was an incredible difference in one size down; I couldn't even fasten the waist. So, sadly returned. I'm not sure this much difference should be the norm; I've had to try more than one size in breeches before and never had this kind of experience. So sorry I couldn't actually review performance rather than fit!

Very comfortable!
I love the material of these breeches. I’m a larger woman (5’9” 200 lbs) and the material is very forgiving. I’ve purchased 2 full seat & 2 knee patch so far. The materials nice for the warmer weather. I will be buying more soon.

High quality fit and durability at a great price
I love these breeches! They're very professional and polished looking but still durable and easy to clean (you can brush dirt right off!). The technical fiber may seem heavy at first but is surprisingly sufficient for all seasons and wicks sweat well. Before the Hadleys came out, I had been wearing Pipers religiously for several years. The Pipers are great but had always gaped really badly at the waist. The higher and slimmer waist of the Hadleys solved that problem perfectly, while still maintaining plenty of stretch in the hips and thighs. I'd love to see more monotone options as I have already purchased the navy and tan and would love to buy more!

They Look Expensive!
I bought these because I'm in love with Pipers and wanted something a little "fancier" for showing horses to clients. I love how these look like Tailored Sportsmans, but without the price tag. The stretch on these breeches is incredible, I usually hate this material because the lack of stretch, but they are amazing. The first time I rode in them was to try a new horse and they were super comfortable to ride in, I didn't feel like I was limited in my movements, and I wasn't slipping around in the saddle. I also love the contrast knee patch as well as this beautiful green colour. I will definitely be investing in some more!

Great fit and feel!
I wore out my Pipers after 4 years and needed new breeches that wouldn’t be too hot for south GA summers. I got the leaf green and charcoal Hadley’s and love the green! Feel and fit just like my Tailoreds. Very cool and comfortable, and without the annoying Velcro leg! Only complaint is that the charcoal breeches had the waist clip to fasten the top placed way too far over - as in past the zipper - so you couldn’t get them closed. Swapped for another pair of charcoal and same issue. Not a problem with the green so I think it was just this batch of charcoal - currently swapping for the spruce as I love the breeches so much I’m hoping to get a few for daily use.

Favorite breech
I purchased my first pair of Hadley’s and they are AWESOME. They feel very much like tailored sportsman’s, and they fit like trophy hunters as well. I love have the pockets. The colors are great! Smartpak always does a fantastic job with their products, but they’ve really hit the nail on the head this time. I will certainly be ordering more Hadley’s- this will be my every day breech!

Love them but sizing inconsistent
The fit and fabric are fantastic for my small waist, larger hips. Size 30 in gray fit me perfectly, but I needed size 32 in tan. The fabric for the two colors also feels different, and the tan don't fit as well as the gray. Although I was disappointed in the sizing/fabric inconsistencies, these are my new favorite breeches. They are comfortable and surprisingly stay clean for a long time. The dirt brushes off easily. I definitely plan to buy more.

Great Breeches
Love these breeches! Great color and great fabric, I like these over the Pipers because of the fabric alone. More of a high end breech with a great fit and durability. At this point I have 3 pairs. I'm either a 22 or a 24 in breeches depending on the brand. I wear a 24 in Tailored Sportsman and a 22 in Smartpak/Ariat/Tredstep (if that helps with sizing) but because of the great return policy, I originally ordered both sizes and sent the wrong size back. Great pant for the price!

Super cute!
These are the perfect breeches for a clinic, schooling, or showing! I got these in Yam for a show and they were amazing. First of all, there are super flattering and fit a wide range of belt sizes. Second, they sent too heaving, so they’re great for a warm day! Lastly, and this is the best thing, when I was bathing after the show, the water beaded up and rolled right off the breeches without leaving a wet mark or soap residue! They are super durable and comfy for any day or riding!

I was pleasantly surprised by how well these breeches are holding up. Usually I have problems with breeches wearing thin on seams after a few months of hard use but these are doing well. The colors are bright and fun too! Only complaint is that they only come in front zip.

Based on not riding in them yet
This review is based on fit and quality thus far as I have not been riding yet in them. The size is exactly one size smaller than you need. I ordered three pair and ended up giving the smaller size to my daughter who loves them and kept the other two larger sizes that were one size up. My go to is tailored Sportman Trophy Hunter and all other breeches do not compare but these come a very close second. They fit similar but a tad higher in the rise which I actually really like. The hit about an inch below my belly button. The back is not higher than the front which would have been a better design. The fabric is slightly satin like with slip so will repel dirt well. I like these so much better than the pipers which never fit well, bunched and puckered in the euro seam and wouldn't stay up even with a belt. Really, the only negatives I can find right out the gate is I am less than thrilled with the strange white/tan knee patches. Who thought this looked good, I have no
idea. The back pockets do bunch up so you will have to deal with that. I got hte dark navy that has matching knee patches as well as a grey with those awful light ones. I do hope Smart Pak makes all the fun colors in these that they have in Pipers. If they wear as good as my Trophy hunters, I may have a new number one breech! Give these a try.

Love!
Love these breeches! Decided to try them when there was a flash sale and I am completely in love! I ordered a 30L which is what I wear in Tailoreds and they fit perfectly. I have a hard time finding breeches that fit me and do not sag in the crotch due to having extremely long legs. The long in this breech is perfect for me and fits great! They are super comfortable, wash well, and dont show too much dirt. I will definitely be back for more colors as these are now my favorite schooling pant. Cant beat the price, quality, and fit of these!

Pretty nice breeches for the price
These breeches are comfortable and fit well. I like my Romph Sarafinas better since they are a bit softer, but the Hadleys are still great! My only complaint is that the back pockets are super wrinkly/bubbly and made my butt look lumpy, but I just cut them out and problem solved! I wear my breeches more fitted anyway so I wasn't going to put anything in them anyway (they zip closed so cutting them out didn't cause any problems).
