The BEST for old horse bedsores
I could not be more thrilled with these for my 29 year old horse who gets pressure ulcers on the fronts of his fetlocks when getting up. They are the most comfortable and durable boot for this issue that I have tried. They can spin, but doesn't bother him or wear his skin. Comfortable enough for him to pretty much live in! When they wear out, I'll buy them over and over again. Highly recommend if you've got a senior who needs fetlock protection!

price????
These used to be $25 when I started buying them, now they’re almost double the price? They say they can be worn 24/7 but they start to fall down and sag after 2 weeks. Really disappointed

Good design but...
My horse hated these and chewed them off his legs within a week. Good design but not for every horse.

best fetlock protection/no rubs
I've been using this protectors for years on my senior arthritic horse who stumbles and hurts his front legs. They are washable and durable and do not rub unless you are careless about keeping them clean.

Working well
I ended up buying two pairs of these and I change them each night. They're hard to brush mud (drying clay) off of, but they clean up easily with a little water and so far it hasn't gotten cold enough that they don't end up at least mostly dry by the time I change them. They stand up well, and cover the full fetlock on my 17.2hh horse. So far there's not a single stitch out of place and while they tend to spin so that the velcro is to the inside, they've yet to come even slightly loose. My horse's fetlock sores are rapidly resolving, and while the top of the shields does touch his cannon bone and cause some messy hairs, it hasn't caused a sore or irritation of any sort.

durable
I have been using these for about 3 weeks now. I have used another brand (2 actually) that I do like, one pair got shredded by Rocky's friend, repaired, and eventually tossed. Still have one pair of the old set, which so work great, but I have noticed he will adjust them sometimes during the night and then front coverage was not happening. Also I was having trouble with our caretakers putting them on backwards which does no good for bedsore protection. I think I am going to have them use these now, as I have tested them and I have been happy with their performance so far, no new bedsores, bedding seems to fall out the bottom, which I was worried about. The Velcro it VERY sticky. I don't know how they will do for outside application, will he get gravel stuck in them? IDK. I will test that in the spring. Definitely a great though odd looking product, I am very happy I decided to try these.

Extremely durable andeffective
My older gelding began getting bed sores on the front of his fetlocks last winter and now wears these 24/7 outside. They are extremely durable, wash well, and do not rub or bind while on him. No more sores!

THE absolute BEST
I've been purchasing these for YEARS (literally). They're EXCELLENT quality & SAFE to wear 24-7, which is why I've purchased so many. If your horse gets sores or wounds (like mine) in this area, PLEASE purchase these! They're SAFE & EFFECTIVE! If your horse is starting out with sores, you can even put their topical "thick" medication (or whatever YOU use) on the sore and STILL put these on after. They're loose enough most of the medication will STAY ON, no rubbing, NO PRESSURE on sore(s), and no pressure or stress especially on tendons, ligaments or joints.
Also, if you live in or near a wet area, and the horse gets into deep mud somewhere, the design allows heavy mud to just fall through, which is especially imperative for the horse to not have to struggle with the mud suction and weight. Don't have to worry about THESE adding pressure on tendons, ligaments or joints.
These have ALWAYS been good, and have a tough, heavy "canvass" exterior for protection, but they started using a little heavier (but still still much softer) material on the inside a while ago, and it seems to have improved durability, and they stay "up" (structurally) longer because of it.
I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT THEM! They're simple to put on and take off, and they're labeled "left" and "right". By the time the labeling wears off, it won't matter because by then you'll already easily know which is which (yes, it matters)
Take them off for grooming (or at least inspect underneath JUST IN CASE...just common sense), and for groundwork/riding), and use whatever leg protection you normally use. Then, put these back on when your horse isn't, "being used".

Protect the fetlock
My horse hits the inside of her his ankles when I get after her to disengage her hindquarters. These boots protect her from more cuts
