These boots take a licken’ and keep on ticken’…..
I am harder on my footware than almost anyone I know. A year and a half later (500 wears later), after the mud the rain, just whatever - No holes, cracks, unsightly discoloration or signs of wear between boots and soles.
Also, when I first saw it, I wasn’t 100% sold. Try them on. They look better on than off…

Disappointed with the Keswicks
I am disappointed with the Keswick boots. I think that I have bad luck with Ariat shoes that aren't my riding boots. (For the record, my field boots and Heritage paddock boots are magical.) On the positive side, the Keswick boots are cute, and the soles are comfortable. They are definitely waterproof--I wore them recently during a bad rainstorm. However, they are clunkier and heavier than anticipated. Even with thick socks, they gap around my ankles (the top of the boots dug into my shins while driving, ouch). The length of the boot is good, but they still seem big/wide on me. Additionally, the suede on the back of the boot is already scuffed after one wear! I wish these had worked out, but I'm just going to shelve them for now.

"Off label usage"
I bought these in 2020, wanting a good city/country waterproof transitional boot and have enjoyed wearing them around town on rainy or snowy days with lots of compliments. I took them to northern England in the fall of 2021, and they performed wonderfully in both towns and tramping around the countryside. The true test came this spring when I packed them off to Scotland and wore them - in the rain - on several lengthy (but moderate) hill walks around the highlands. Everything else may have felt wet, but my feet stayed dry and blister free. Though, I might need new boots now.
(I've seen some comments about sizing. Everything is sock dependent. I recommend trying on in store with several different pair of socks.)

So comfy :)
I could have purchased a cheaper boot from a different manufacturer, but I am so happy with myself that I went for quality. Good boots will last forever. These are the most comfortable boot I have ever owned. I have been around horses and wearing boots for 50 years. I have never been disappointed with Ariat's quality and comfort.

Comfortable and functional on the farm
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about a month ago and I’m so happy I found them I almost was buying Blunnies, tried those and was amazed at how uncomfortable they were and hard to put on, then I found these and wham, very happy, I can work with the horses I can cross the creek I can go in the garden I can go to town these boots rock and I’m very very picky and I work very hard!

Comfortable and Functional
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I searched for a long time for a paddock boot. I wanted to be able to slip on my feet so didn’t want laces. I also wanted something I could wear with half chaps and ride in. These are typical Ariat comfort— very supportive and feel great wearing around. I like the elastic gusset as well. I did wear these out and about for a couple of months over winter just to wear them in. Now they are perfect for riding and working around the barn.

Leather & sole separated
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I enjoyed these boots with normal barn use for about 18 months. Then the leather started to separate from the sole in area near the ball of my foot. Disappointed given the company’s good reputation and the price paid.

Design and fit
The boot hits to high on my shin and is very uncomfortable the quality was beautiful just the design was not as expected and I did return them , however I ordered new barn boots

Fine Boot! Excellent construction, pleasing style.
In my experience, Ariat makes a reliably fine boot. Good materials, construction, style, and fit. The Keswick meets that standard. I am very glad to have found it at SmartPak for a reasonable price. I have a slightly wide foot, at first the boot fit perfectly to size with a thin wool sock. In a week's time, it comfortably fits a heavier wool sock. I am looking forward to as long time good wear from the Keswick as from my other Ariat boots.

Another Great Ariat Boot
Ariat boots are the best! These are easy to slip on and take off, comfortable out of the box, and the grey is beautiful. I also like that my half chaps fit over them. Some people said they're too narrow, but I don't agree. They fit like a traditional paddock
boot.

Nice boot, but doesn't work for me
Really nice boot, comfortable but unfortunately I had to return. I have occasional edema of ankle and shin area, and the front of this boot was too high, too stiff for that tender skin. Also really hard to get off if any swelling, or if have injured knees. I need a zipper to make it easier.

Beautiful comfortable boot, but I cant wear it
I just bought this boot-I used the Ariat size chart and ordered the perfect size. It arrived quickly and I immediately tried them as soon as i got home from work. The fit was a little tighter and narrower than i expected, but with thinner compression socks they fit well and felt good...until i took those first few steps. The front tongue is has height of 3-4” over height of ankle and is a little stiff. As my ankle flexed the leather rubbed on my shin exactly where i sometimes experience edema. I need a shorter or softer front tongue.

Ariat quality is slipping and these boots show it
I2021/22 winter is the first year I’ve worn these boots. They are not waterproof and they’re hot. Incredibly hot. The materials feel cheap — not like the waterproof leather boots they replaced. I’ve been wearing Ariats since 2000, and have to say, it’s so disappointing to see the quality decline. I wo t buy again, and this is after 10 pairs in 20 years.

Best Chelsea Boot I've Ever Owned!
I have the grey pair that I bought a year ago and just ordered them in dark brown. They are my go-to boots for sure! I've worn them hiking as well and they are the most comfortable boot. Very durable, stylish as well. I wish they came in black!

I needed a boot that could go from the barn to the supermarket. They were pretty tight at first but I wore thin socks or no socks. My feet stayed warm and dry all last winter and I wore them everyday. Getting them in brown next , but will order half size up so I can wear heavier socks. Love the look, I get compliments on the style.

Great fit, comfortable & supportive, poor quality
I bought these boots last march for my every day work boot. I wear them 6 days a week, 8 hours per day. I know that's a lot of wear, but for the money I expected them to last much longer. The waterproofing wore off in about 2 months and my feet were already getting wet in them. I never wore them when it was raining or muddy - the dew off the grass in the mornings would make my feet wet. 4 months in they started cracking at the sides where my foot bends. Now, 9 months in, the sole has begun to separate from the rest of the boot. I purchased these to replace the Smartpak Ada boot that fell apart in 5 months, and it just seems that no one makes a quality work boot anymore.

Best, Every-Day Boot Ever!

A bit stiff
It’s a beautiful boot, but it is a bit stiff. I’m assuming it will soften up with time, but in the meantime, I’m adding cushioning around my ankles. The top of the boot hits me at a very bony spot.

Love these paddock boots
I purchased these about 2 weeks ago and it seems I haven't taken them off since. As a proud equestrian, I like to think my "look" can be described as "I'm about to jump on a horse at any moment" and these definitely stay within that vibe. I was looking for a brown paddock boot and couldn't find any that I liked until I saw these. The fact that they are waterproof was an added bonus because my old Ariat's have JUST lost their waterproofing after many years and I can tell you - I'm not a big fan of wet feet, and when you are in and out of a wash rack as often as I am...waterpoof boots are a must. The things I love about these boots:
- the tread feels extremely substantial and supportive, super grippy
- the insole is supportive and has nice arch support
- the waterproofing!!
I see some reviewers were concerned about the height of the boot and then potential for rubs on the shins. I can say that I did have a two day break in period where the tops of the boots caused some bruising on my shins but after a few days it completely went away. If you can make it through the break in period, you'll be glad you did. Additionally, I have feet that are on the wider side, and these were just fine for me. I do think that I needed to stretch the leather across the ball of my foot a bit, but once this occurred, I haven't had any foot pain or issues. These are now my go to barn boots!
For what it's worth, I have them in the brown color which is beautiful, but I also ordered the gray pair because I loved the look of them online but when they arrived they were more greeny gray than I anticipated so I sent them back. Just wish they came in black!

Runs a bit small
I love the boot, but it does run about 1/2 size small. Sadly, when I tried to exchange it for a larger size, they were out of stock. I'll keep checking back, though! And aas always, great customer service

Such a pretty boot, I wish I could wear them!
These are so pretty and look very well constructed. They run TTS. The price point for the quality is great. Unfortunately the first time I wore them they created such huge blisters on the front of my shins, I can't wear them again. So bummed, because they really are lovely.

Beautiful boots
I no longer have a horse, but needed a waterproof, nice-looking boot for running errands,, walking dogs, etc. Have wanted these for a while but couldn’t get my size/color. Just received my charcoal pair and they feel great, but too big. I normally take a 7.5, but in Ariats I need a 7. These are too long for me, so I ordered a 6.5 to see if they fit better. These seem snug, but I have narrow feet, so that’s okay for me. I’ll report back when I get the smaller size. They are beautiful boots, and easy to put on.

so comfortable and supportive
I had a pair of Terrains for almost 20 years and finally gave in when the sole fell off. I tried a new pair and hated them. I wanted something functional on the ground but looked nice too. These boots are fantastic! They support my foot in the stirrup and they now longer ache and they’re comfortable on the ground and very water proof. I have a draft so i needed something protective in case she stepped on me (a regular painful occurrence) and these have been great! Found my new go to!

I was excited to get these as I've had Ariat boots last me for ages.. These felt a bit off when they arrived, as though one was a bit tighter around the ankle than the other - I tried different socks, it didn't seem to matter. I don't usually have an issue like that with these types of boots, but I also couldn't see trying to break in something that was very off. The color was really nice, but the boot itself didn't work for me at all.

Beautiful and comfy but…
Really uncomfortable while riding. My fenders pass right over my shin, where the boot ends. This really starts to bruise and chafe after an hour in the saddle. :( Going to try thicker socks and a few more times, but I don’t see how this will be a viable boot for longer trail rides.
