The most perfect ankle boot of our time.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This purchase was to replace in kind my old Heritage boots. I love the foot base of these boots and the laced uppers too that lets me snug up the boot to my foot. I appreciate the small updates to the sole and the chamfer of the heal corners. The fit is just as I want. I have the wide side so that I can place a cushy felted wool foot insert into the boot without crowding my feet. This assembly keeps my feet quite happy. Thank you for continuing to stick with a proven design!

My 6th pair, usually I get 1 or every 2 yes
I I love these boots so much until I got these they are now even though I ordered ordered a wide.. and to get different pair I had to send them back and pay for a second pair of them and wait for a credit..hey didn't just exchange them. And pair 6 now , still to narrow, even at 1/2 size larger. I compared the soles of my old ones with these new ones and indeed they are making them narrower they are not as wide as all four of the pair that I had before and that's ridiculous if these are made in the US why are they not even making them white anymore It isn't like we got narrower feet somehow. If I could give them a zero star I would. extremely disappointed, The shoe repair store said they can't even stretch them out because the the leather is too thin

Surprisingly comfy

Diminished material quality
Ariat has been my go to for years as someone with long narrow feet that make most other manufacturers impossible to get tied tight enough to keep my foot in place without losing circulation when I put my heels down. Unfortunately, this most recent pair had the leather on the tongue already disintegrating within a month of purchase. The substructure of the leather is already clearly visible around the tongue and top edge of the boot and is not at all reflective of the quality I had come to expect from Ariat. I wish I'd known before I purchased.

Great beginning
My second pair, comfortable from day one. I appreciate the ankle support of the laced paddock boot. Comfortable for a long day of riding or standing. Sizing fits as expected. I recommend shoe polish occasionally to extend their life, water resistance and appearance. My first pair lasted many years with daily use and occasional polish

sizing is not consistant
I order multiple pairs in different sizes including wide width. In comparison to Heritage Lacer II Boot size 7.5 Wide; the length of these boots is shorted and maybe a tad narrower. Good looking and comfortable boot, taking one start off because of sizing inconsistency with the overall brand. They are comfortable, however, I cannot say how they will hold once you put them to the test. I am not keeping mine and returning for an 8 wide

Poor quality compared to previous boots
Compared to the dozen or so previous Ariat paddock boots, these are a disappointment in almost every way. Most upsetting is these boots lack the same support and insoles as the numerous previous pairs including Performer Pro. The footbed support is the number one reason I select Ariat over and over again and will be looking into other brands. The laces won’t stay tied and the eyelet hooks are undersized. The only positives are that the leather seems soft and they are offered in wide. I do question how long these boots will hold up to daily wear as the sole of the boots does not feel substantial.

My size was out of stock so I went up by one half size, and even then, the pointy toes made them too painful to wear. Sent them back and was promptly refunded.

Horrible Blisters!
I have been buying Ariat Heritage paddock boots for probably close to 15-20 years and normally I pick the Round Toe, however I have tried this exact one in the past and again I had to purchase these due to the round toe not being available. Worst blisters ever! Both times! They also feel more stiff and feel more hot inside too. Super bummed out. I will probably have to swap brands now.

Comfortable Boot
Have been looking for a nice, comfortable pair of boots for a long time. Why I say a long time is that I wanted leather and wide width which is quite hard to find, and that are nice looking. Eureka! Finally found a company that provided all of my needs. Very happy!

Not what they used to be
I just bought my 3rd pair of these boots since they started the company. The first two were like putting on old broken in shoes the moment I bought them. But this pair is stiff and inclined to give me blisters if I am not careful. Have only had them a couple of weeks so I am hoping they soften up. I am glad that they come in wide sizes but wish I could get them in brown. I have a bone chip in he top of my left arch so I have to have lace up boots to keep the pressure off of that spot, but the laces that came with them are too short to lace up all; the way. I have to stop after only 2 hooks when there are 3 hooks, and this causes the boot to rub me at the top. I may have to try another brand next time I want boots. This technology has surely been copied by now.

Wides fit me!
I have a high instep and a bunion and soI usually have difficulty finding shoes that fit and provide support. I've had them 2 weeks and I can wear them for many hours at the barn without problems.

Great
I highly recommend this boots . I were them 6 day a week for at least 9 hours and I don't have any discomfort. They are just perfect for 3 seasons but for cold winter with snow I prefer tall isolated boots. Usually a pair of boots last me for 2 or 3 years and with the time the aspect surely deteriorate but the comfort increases making very difficult the separation. For me Ariat is my first choice when it comes to riding boots!

very disappointed
I started wearing Ariats about 23 years ago, usually a paddock style for everyday and work outside. The first pair I bought, I put on at the store and walked out the door and all over San Francisco, no problems, ever. Since then I have bought other pairs, and they have been my primary shoe. Over the years I have noticed a decline in leather quality, to where it was stiffer. Finally this year, I have ordered three different pairs, of similar style and had to send every one back- stiff leather, but worse, the footbed sizing must have change to where the tiny bit if extra room across the ball of the foot and small toes is much narrower. I compared them to my current pair, even, and saw this was not just my imagination. So, I am done with Ariat. I live too far from a store that carries them to try on even more styles, so I have to order on line. Sorry to see such a negative change.

Lower Quality Than Previous Ariat Boots
They took a little longer to break in than I'm used to then were fine for a while but then the stitching started coming out of the toes on both of them. I've always bought Ariats for my paddock boots and I usually get about a year out of them but these didn't make it that long.
