Comfortable, Great Quality Boots!

Quality boots, check the size chart
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve worn the same size Ariat tall boots (shoe, calf and height) for years! So ordered these initially in the same size as the past 3 pairs I’ve had. They were far too small in the calf! The cut of these has changed dramatically so check the size chart!!
After finding the correct size I do like the boots. I ordered the brown and already received many compliments on the color. The leather isn’t as soft as that of some of the boots at a higher price point but cleans up easy, has broken in well, and looks great.

Excellent quality, runs big!

I measured myself multiple times and had my husband do a back-up measurement but although the size I originally ordered lined up with the size chart, it was way too big! I had to reorder and downsize the calf but Ariat made that process easy and completely painless. The quality is excellent, the brown leather is beautiful, and I can't wait to break them in!

Size
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A really nice boot! Only problem is once I got it the calf size was way to big. I had gotten sized at dover and they told me to get a x wide so I ordered it! Lucky for me it came the day I was leaving for WEC however once I tried my boots on they were way too big on my calf. So sadly I couldn’t wear them and had to return them.

Not Every English Rider Is Long and Lean
Great to have choices on height, width, etc. I have a child who is not built like your typical English rider so I appreciate these quality boots for my 10 year old who isn't long and lean. Thank you!

Horrible Quality
I can't even find the words to describe how disappointed I am with these boots. Ariat's boots used to be great quality for an even better price, next to no break-in period. Now, the leather is so stiff and cheap you can barely walk in them when you first get them. The sizing for the last three pairs I've bought has been quite inconsistent. Not to mention the reason I've had to buy three pairs within a year is because the boots just fall apart after a month or so of wear. These used to cost less than $300 and get closer to $400. Not worth the trouble AT ALL. Get one of the (albeit more expensive) pairs and save yourself the trouble.

nice boots but little support
These boots look really nice and fit well. However, there is very little instep support. My feet were falling in toward the center and the leather was folding over. Sadly, I had to return the boots .

So disappointing
I’ve been wearing Ariat boots for 20 years—but I when I got these, the downgrade in quality is super apparent. They are purple brown, which is weird but also they feel like leather textured PVC. They are flimsy and cheap feeling. My old Ariat field boots are sturdy thick heavy leather, and these feel like a sad imitation. I love Ariat but there is a noticeable difference in quality lately and I most likely won’t be buying anymore. It makes me sad because I’ve been a lifelong fan.

Great boots
Had a pair of these for about 3 years. Used them heavily, both for schooling and shows, and eventually had to get new ones. Very comfortable, broke in after 2 rides. Fit is true to size chart.

Odd Shape to Calf
My favorite field boots for schooling and hacking out. Extremely comfortable and durable. But there's an odd pooching out or bulge mid-calf, which is obvious even when I get the slim width. So while I love them for everyday use, I won't show in them.

Excellent boots, great quality
The fit was perfect, they are easy to clean, and are great to wear all day. The leather is supply and they took next to no time to break in. I’m 5’4” 132lb and wear 11’s. I was really happy that the calf wasn’t too wide and the ankle was slim as well, even though I have larger feet. Great quality for the price, great to ride in, and they look elegant.

Great boot, thicker leather, well made
Bought XS calf, short height, still a little tall even as they drop. Been working on breaking them in and have rode in them 6 times, quality leather and workmanship, excellent footbed comfort, but because they are "thicker" leather I think break-in will take a bit longer than some other boots. Zippers seem to slightly unzip a 1/2 inch even with inserted through zipper guard. Overall, great looking boat, great materials quality & construction, expect slightly longer break-in, very happy with boot and feel like they will last for a long time.

Busted zipper
A year and 3 months after I bought these (did don't get used 7 months of that time), the zipper broke on my left boot!!! I loved these boots but the zipper sucks. I've had a ton of Ariat zipper back boots and never had a zipper fail. Normally I wear them for many years. Disappointed. In the trash they go. This was the sienna color.

Love them
As a young teen, my larger than normal calf made finding a tall boot (outside of custom) impossible. Then, as an adult, I found Ariat. Thank goodness! I have 3 pr of these, and the square toed cognac one. Love them all, as they both fit and (with the high cut outer side) make my chunky legs look longer. Im 5'ft 8 and 130,i so not fat, but I have this calf issue - that has been solved without custom boots! Thank you, Ariat!

Beautiful and COMFORTABLE boot!
I bought these boots a few weeks ago. I pulled them out of the box, tried them on and went fox hunting in them the next day. Not only do they look beautiful, but they are so comfortable! I did not have a sore spot anywhere on my foot or leg after wearing and riding in them for hours...the FIRST time I wore them. I am so impressed with this boot! They are more comfortable than my custom made boots that were three times the cost of these.

Beautiful but sadly dont fit
These are beautiful. I have used Ariat products for at least 10 years and their things are quality and durable. Unfortunately, these didn't fit but I will try another size. It would be nice to have a dealer close by so I didn't have to mail back and forth. Maybe one day.

Too tight
My daughter loved the boot button unfortunately she was not able to zip it up it was too tight Right above her ankles. We got the extra wide hoping it would fit but it did not. I with they would make them with more stretchy material by the zipper. :(

Disappointed
I have always loved Ariats and usually they last at least a few years. Within 7-8 months the zipper broke the toes came apart. I’ve never had ariats bust before a year! I am so disappointed.

Too narrow!
I was so disappointed as I ordered the wide . The ankle part is incredibly thin and I couldn't zip them up. I've spoken to fellow equestrians who have had the same issue. It's a pity as they are losing out on so much business.
