Good Product
We had a senior Thoroughbred mare that was exhibiting symptoms of occassional mild colic, off her feed, etc. Since putting her on Tract Guard, she has been eating and acting normally with no further symptoms.

started out well
The first couple of weeks, this produce produced a noticeable difference in my horse's gut function and comfort. However, the past few weeks he started sorting though his feed to 'weed out' the pellets. I am discontinuing, and plan to restart the product later to see if the problem is truly with the supplement, but this horse would eat wormer paste out of his bucket if it came with his food . . . I'm surprised at his pickiness over the product.

My vet told me my mare is at high risk for developing stomach ulcers. This is a very cost effective way to prevent ulcers and my mare likes the taste of the pellets.

Effective and Cheap and Versatile
I love this supplement. It is a must with my guys who have sensitive GI tracts. I tried to quit using it, and I could tell a difference without it. My colic-prone guy just had this sour look about him which vanished within several days of restarting. I saw a marked increase in one of my horse's water consumption. I had tried electrolytes and salt in order to encourage him to drink more; imagine my surprise when this did the trick. I took him off of it, and he began to drink less. When back on it, he hydrated himself to my liking. It even helps control my chestnut's sometimes hyperactive gut sounds. I will definitely keep this one in the barn!

Honestly, I'm not sure if this supplement is helping my horses or not. I put my Quarter Horse in this as a preventative for colic, ulcers, etc, and I added this along with Smartgut to my Thorougbred that had suspected ulcers. My Quarter Horse's condition has stayed the same, and my TB's condition has drastically improved. I just don't know whether it's from the smartgut or this. At any rate, this is an inexpensive supplement that offers electrolytes and digestive/ulcer support, so I'll keep using it as a preventative and as a "peace of mind" supplement.

TractGard worked for me.
My 17 yr old horse has always been girthy and had colic 3 times in a year. He has always been prone to loose stools and started to colic shortly after worming and in hot and cold weather. I have used Tract Gard for about 2 years now and no more colic and his manure is the best it has every looked in the 13 yrs I have owned him. Not near as girthy as he used to be and seems a much happier horse.

picky horse always eats it
I have one of the pickiest horses I've ever known and currently probably the pickiest in a 60 stall barn. He only eats pelleted supplements and if he doesn't like something he might not eat at all. He always eats his Tractgard with no problems. He is a busy show horse so I like that it provides decent electrolyte levels and an antacid. I have been very happy with it.

Great for Sensitive Digestion
This product works very well. I was using SmartDigest but this is less expensive and seems to be just as effective. When I purchased my Spotted Saddlehorse, she had worms and I think it had caused digestive issues. She also had ulcers. She coliced easily and had low engery. The SmartDigest (used for 1 yr) was great. Ulcerguard was good but expensive. She is now only using this product and is doing great.

Just Right

Wonderful Product!
This is a great product. I use this for my 14 year old eventer, who has not shown any signs of ulcers, and I want to keep it that way. Love the fact that it has electrolytes in it and that it is a pellet....you can't beat the price either!

Great Mulitpurpose Supplement!
I have a 7yr old Irish Sport Horse mare, who had major colic surgery as a yearling. I needed a digestive supplement to help prevent future colicing. I am currently training "Addie" to be an eventer, so I also needed an electrolyte and acid buffer to help deal with daily stresses due to weather and training. My mare loves TractGaurd, and never leaves any behind! Great product at a great price.

Not so preventative
I bought this product to help prevent stomach ulcers and other gastric upset in my nervous TB. In the end he still got ulcers and stopped wanting to eat his grain after horse shows. While I liked that it was a pellet, there was always a lot of dusty powder in the container as well.

What a difference
A friend suggested I try TractGard for my young horse who has had ulcers, due to some major changes in his life: We moved from Md to FL, he went into some intensive training and he suffered a serious injury. After treating his ulcers he still did not seem very happy, so I started him on TractGard...His disposition is now back to what it was several years ago, sweet, friendly and HAPPY. He is working very hard, and enjoying his work, FEI levels here we come!!

Great supplement!!
Have had my 6 yr old gelding on this for nearly a year - not only does he not crib anymore, he is relaxed and happy with no more belly issues. He tends to be a picky eater, especially with supplements, but he has no problems with this one. I highly recommend it!

I have a 3yr old hunt seat horse who was diagnosed with ulcers, he has only been on it for a little over a month now so we will see how it works, but it seems to be working so far!

helps to prevent ulcers
I tried tract-guard after my ulcer-prone mare began showing ulcer symptoms while using another ulcer supplement. Once she began tract-guard the symptoms disappeared and since using it she has been happier and more relaxed than she has been years. After a few months on the tract-guard she missed 3 weeks of it and the ulcer symptoms re-emerged. A few doses of gastro-guard later and resuming the tract-guard she went back to her happy self and no symptoms since!

Great product, but my horse poops all the time!
I give this to my AQHA hunt seat horse. I'm not so sure if my horse really needs this or not, but I give it to him anyway. I've paired this up with SmartCalm and Grand Performance, and just added the Omega6 this past month.
He has kept quiet, but is pooping so much! They are solid poops, but it has become a real job to clean his stall. However, I'd rather have a healthy horse.

Not sure
Pony eats it just fine, I just can't tell if it's doing anything for her. She is definetely no worse for the wear though, seems happy and content on it, but I still see some lifting of the tail. I will keep using it though.

Seems helpful
My horse had been "yawning" frequently for quite some time. I had her teeth checked and floated. Although there wasn't a problem with them. She continued to "yawn."
I researched this online and found it could be a stomach/digestion problem. So, I researched the digestion supplements and decided on TractGard. Within a couple weeks being on this supplement, she has stopped "yawning."
And, I like that it is a pellet. She doesn't leave it the bottom of her feed bucket like some of the powders.

Awesome Gut Supplement!
This is my second follow up post to the original. My TB has been on this product for a while now and I have seen a big difference in his water consumption. His stool is much softer and he has started to put on some much needed weight. TractGard is now a staple at my barn and I will continue to feed it daily to all my horses.

Seems to be Working
My horse had two minor impaction colics with the onset of winter. While we live in Texas and the weather is pretty mild he still drank alot less water and starting loosing weight with the weather changes. I started providing him warmed water 2x a day, added soaked beet pulp to his diet, and started him on Tractgard this week. So far it appears his water consumption has increased. His manure does not look any softer however so we are still at a "wait and see" for more results with the Tractgard. He did gobble the pellets up no problem which is always nice for the picky TB!

So far so good
I just started my 11 y/o OTTB on this after a few minor gas colics. While my horse came through them fine, and I think it was the change of weather and the fact that a new round bale was put out that caused the colics, I was still concerned. I was looking for a product that could help with my horses digestive system to support it and possibly help ward off some of these minor stomach issues. This product looked the most comprehensive and I really like the fact that it has electrolytes in it.

I notice that my horses coats stay healthy when their diet is healthy. Keeping their stomachs and digestive system healthy and WORKING is always good. It is a comfort indeed to know I have added a little help to them.

Relaxed my horse
I went to a clinic one time where a representative talked about how stomach ulcers can affect your horse's attitude. This made me decide to order some of SmartPak's TractGard. The packs come in the coolest packaging and personalized with your horse's name on it. TractGard made my horse more relaxed and willing to work under saddle. Thank you Smart Pak!
