Safe, simple & affordable fly prevention
Solitude IGR is an effective, safe, simple, and economical feed-through fly prevention that prevents house and stable fly development. Cyromazine, the active ingredient of Solitude IGR, safely passes through the horse's system and is excreted in the manure, regulating house and stable fly egg development. Solitude IGR is effective only against immature house and stable flies. As existing adult flies die off, overall fly population is significantly reduced within 4 to 6 weeks. No more flies!
This product has really helped cut down the fly load on our 40 acre ranch. We use speed through fly control for a cattle and found out it really helped, so started our horses on it also. Will never be without it!

Great product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just started using this product this spring; in previous years I used another type of larval growth inhibitor. For the first time, face flies have not been a major problem! I am sold on this product.

Best product of its kind
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superior larva development inhibitor. Though a little more expensive per serving than other brands, the results are better - maybe the environment or some other factor makes it work better on my farm than similar products

Love small dose size!
We used Fly Stoppers last year and our results with Solitude have been so much better and less hassle. Our Fly Stoppers always seem to arrive when it was really dry or just before a downpour.

Works!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I heard about Solitude IGR after fly season had already started this year. I started my horses on it 3 weeks ago and hardly see an adult fly around my ranch now. Well worth the cost. My horses have stopped stomping and aren't getting eaten up with flies anymore!

Works! Even late in the summer
I started using late this year, early June! Normally I start in April. I almost didn't purchase because I didn't think it would help this late in the season but after using two weeks I see a considerable decrease in flies on the stool.

Was hoping it would help.....
Not sure I’m seeing a difference in fly reduction. It’s our first summer having our own barn, so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but seeing plenty of flies. : /

Solitude IGR
I have tried many systemic feed through products in the past and I must say that solitude IGR is without any doubt...hands down...a truly superior product. No flies...no fly predators..very minimal fly spray use. Wouldn't be without it. A bit pricey but worth every penny spent. I love this product. Kitty

Last year, we moved our horses to our first family farm, so we started them on Solitude since it was the first time I had control over my own "herd", of 4 horses. I was coming from a nearby boarding barn where the fly problem was just absolutely horrific. Even though our horses were started on this late (in June), we had very few flies! So it definitely works, no question. I noticed, looking at the manure pile, that flies were still breeding in the manure somewhat, so it didn't stop them 100%, but I hung a Big Bag fly trap by the manure pile and it seemed to catch most of them before they could make it back to the barn. No problems getting the horses to eat this. Will be buying again for this season.

This one really works!
Flies are a way of life in Florida and a constant battle!
Predators didn't work and neither did the other brand of feed through fly control!
I ran out of Solitude IGR in November and thought I'd take a chance that I wouldn't need it through the winter.
I was wrong!
The flies are back with a vengeance.
I just ordered again. . .

This is the second summer I have used solitude for fly control. My horses readily eat the pellets and it does decrease flies. I like that all horses receive the same dose - no worrying about how much the horse weighs or if you might have fed the wrong amount.

This is working for us!
I switched to this based on other reviews. I do think it works better than the other feed through products that I've tried. In Florida we never have a long enough winter to be rid of flies so we have to use this year round. Don't be discouraged if you're using a feed through for the first time. It can take from 2 to 3 weeks to see a difference so be patient. You may need to use a premise spray for a while until the existing flies die. . .
Worth trying for sure !

Consistently Works!
I have used this product for at least 8 years and didn't use it last year. I never have a fly problem and last year was terrible. Started in March this year and no fly problem again.

Dramatically reduced the fly population!
My horses have been on Solitude for 2 months now and I have seen a dramatic reduction in the amount of flies on my horses. I use this in conjunction with fly predators and the horses and barn are almost fly free. I was using a bottle of fly spray on the "crew" about every week and now I rarely use fly spray. Great product!!!!

Title could use a jazzier name
We bought it about a month ago, We figured that well, we tried everything else out with little or no results. But it only took about 10 days and what a difference weather they are in the barn or in the field. Fly masks help a little but add this stuff along with it and WOW!!!

No more Summer Sores!
I live in Florida where the flies play havoc on my horse. My poor Mac was suffering terribly from summer sores caused by poor fly control at a boarding facility he was at for six months. The flies larvae were basically eating him from the inside out. They had even eaten about a 1/4 inch of his urethra off. In the short time he was boarded there, I paid approx. $4,000 in six months - giving my vet the down payment for her new truck (LOL). Having had enough of seeing my poor boy suffer, I moved to a private location and began feeding Solitude IGR. I cannot believe the difference in both my horse's health and in the lack of flies around the barn and, especially, on the poop piles!!! We have NO flies now!!! This product is absolutely AMAZING!!! I cannot say enough good things! I will always use this product for all my horses!!

Glad I switched
For years we had always used Simplifly with decent success, but for whatever reason, the flies this summer were horrendous even though everyone was still getting their Simplifly. So I decided to switch to Solitude to try it out. It's been about 2 weeks now and already I've noticed a significant drop in flies. No more loud buzzing when you walk into a horse's stall! It's more expensive but you only have to feed 1/2 oz instead of 1 oz like with most products. All horses have no problems eating it either.

Flies be gone!
The owner of the farm at which I board my ponies told all the boarders they must have their horses fed IGR daily. Within a month, I saw a marked improvement in the amount of flies on the farm! They have gotten to the point that I rarely use fly spray! What a great product!

Not working this year!
I used this product last year. I started out using Simplifly until about July of last year then switched over to Solitude. I had great results. This year, I started out with Simplifly again due to Solitude being sold out. I had no flies while I fed Simplifly. When I started Solitude, I noticed an increase in flies. So, I increased the dosage. No effect. I am now over-run with flies and my horses are getting a double dose of Solitude. I just re-ordered Simplifly. I will not be using this product again.

It really does work!
I have been using solitude for about 6 weeks. I started a little late, in early April. We have been having a very warm and rainy spring which normally would bring a huge fly population to torment my horses. there are very few flies! I have a neighbor who is very close and I do not believe she uses this, but it still had a great impact.

So far so good.
Bought this a little over a month ago, although it hasn't been so hot yet. But they seem to be reducing our fly population. But a bit more pricey than its competitors.
