Old warrior looks his best in years!
Douglas, a team horse for Cornell Equestrian, has been on this supplement since the summer and he's never looked better. The past couple years have been hard on him- persistent heel pain, then a massive sinus infection requiring a sinus flap surgery, then an infection of the incision left us wondering if he'd ever recover! Once we got those problems under control, he still seemed lethargic, had a wooly coat, and tested barely subclinical for Cushing's. I decided to try him on this supplement to help with all of his various issues, and he looks and feels fantastic at 21 years young! He struts his stuff with the beginners and gets very happy when we let him do a tiny crossrail once in a while (he's retired from full time jumping to save his feet). Definitely think this is part of his success and he's worth his weight in gold (all 1500lbs).

Biggest change in 21 year old FEI horse
I started my 21-year-old lease horse on this supplement after he started having cushings symptoms but his bloodwork still came back with no cushings. I think this supplement has made the biggest difference in him maintaining and growing his topline. I am really happy with his weight and muscling right now after over a year of struggling to figure out what I could give him to support his topline development and maintenance. He is a picky eater, as well, and eats this with his normal grain very willingly.

Has definitely made a difference
My old Ottb I rescued in June was having trouble building weight and muscle up and was diagnosed with cushings. I immediately added this to his SmartPak and this along with medication and proper diet has made it so much easier for him to gain weight and muscle and he looks amazing now!

Unfortunately pony will not eat
We wanted to give this a shot, but my German Riding Pony who is normally an eating machine spit this out and literally kicked over her bucket. We tried three different times and I attempted to make it more palatable by adding apple sauce, etc., unsuccessfully.

No customer service after pony refused to eat this
Kiwi, my pony, refused to eat these two years ago. We tried to contact customer service to return it, but no one ever responded. Tonight, I'm searching for supplements for my other horses and I remembered my last experience with SmartPak, but I'll never by anything from these people again. Off to find supplements and horse gear at another company.

I got my pony back!
I bought this a few months ago to help with my young pony with Cushing's. He became really crabby and skittish. It was heart breaking! After only a few weeks on this supplement and huge improvement! Few months in and we will never go without this amazing product! Thanks for giving my family our sweet pony back!

Wow!
My horse and I have been together 21 years now (he is a 24 year oldConnemara with Cushings and IR)and he developed Cushings in his teens. He takes pergolide and supplements to help him. His Cushings is considered advanced, so he has quite a few symptoms. I had read about some of the ingredients in SmartPituitary before, but really was hesitant to try them without knowing how to balance the amounts. I was excited to try these pellets. First, he ate them right up(phew!)(being picky is one of his quirks). Then he shedded a bit, not a ton(I still have to clip him). Then his sheath swelling reduced to normal. Then he gained muscle on his back, where it has dropped somewhat. To top it all off, his bloodwork results were great this time. He is back to being a cheerful, demanding Connemara love bug and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you SmartPak!!

Horse won't eat it
Usually, my horse loves the SmartPak supplements, but this one is a dud for us. After 3 weeks of trying to feed this supplement, my horse is still refusing to eat her feed when this supplement is mixed in. I can't really rate the quality of effectiveness of this product if my horse won't eat it.

6 months and seeing definite improvement
I have had my 24 year old Percheron/TB gelding on this for about 6 months now and so far it seems to be helping him. He has cushings and is now blind from a combination of the cushings and uveitis... when he grew his winter coat early in June of last year and then blew it at the end of October after a stressful weekend of fires nearby, I started researching what I could put him on to help him. I decided on this to try and see if it would give him any relief from his symptoms and perhaps help him to look a little better than he was. I am happy to report his coat looks better, his attitude is infinitely better and back to his jolly old self, and overall he just seems to feel good. I see others have complained about the smell but he seems to love it (strong smells are good for him when he can't see where his food is!) and the humans at the barn all think it smells pretty good too!

Seems to be helping
I started my PPID 25 year old gelding on this about a month ago, and it seems to be helping with his overall attitude and shedding. I plan to keep him on it for now. My only complaint would be that it does have an odor, and he really doesn't like to eat it, even when mixed with his feed.

Worth a try!
I don’t really know how to rate this product yet as I’ve only been using it for a month (+]. So far I haven’t seen any outward change in my 28 year old cushings mare with neurologic problems. Perhaps it’s not what she needs, but I thought it worth a try.

This stuff works!
My horse was diagnosed with Cushings last summer. Even with his daily dose of Prascend, he continued to do poorly- tired, no appetite, depressed, poor attitude. After about 2 months on SmartPituitary Senior® Pellets, I have my former horse back- perky, friendly, good work ethic. I wouldn't quit using Prascend prescription drug, but I do recommend supplementing with this fine product/

Seems to have worked

Worked wonders
I have had my senior mare (24 YO Quarter Horse) on this supplement for almost a year now, but I began to see favorable results within the first 3 months!! I am more than pleased with the product!! She has blossomed while using it. She has more energy and stamina than she has had for years. She struggles with Heaves as well as Pituitary symptoms, but the Heaves symptoms are more easily controlled now that she is on SmartPituitary for Seniors. I believe the antioxidants and other ingredients have given her entire system a boost. Specifically, I noticed a vast improvement in her topline within 3 mos on this product. She is shedding her (very wooley) winter coat normally and has fewer problems with skin infections. Full disclosure: she was prescribed Levothyroxine by our vet for her pituitary problems but he advised that the medication alone would not resolve all her issues and suggested a supplement. The SmartPak advisors suggested this one and I am very pleased with the results! It is also very easy for barn staff to administer which is very important to ensure she gets it consistently. I love SmartPaks!

Horse wouldn’t eat

Pony and Horse won’t eat
I bought this for pony and horse that are both diagnosed with Cushings. Both are feed hogs, and neither would touch their feed with this in it. I tried adding things to make it more palatable and they still wouldn’t touch it.

Major improvement so far
My 26 yo mini horse has been getting really drug down by the winters the past few years getting respiratory infections, winter laminitis, etc. I’ve been testing out different supplements and nothing has seemed to help. My vet recommended trying this supplement. He wouldn’t eat it at first but after a few days he warmed up to it. He acts like a 10 yr old again. We’re already into the point of winter where he starts getting sore and depressed and he’s as lively as ever right now, feeling good! Will be interesting to see if this keeps him that way. I’m sold on it so far, just ordered some more.

My mare was diagnosed two years ago with PPID/Cushings. I put her on the smartpituitary within two months and she has done very well! I believe her good health at 23, with Cushings, in part is due to this supplement. Thanks!

My gelding won’t eat these
It’s been a week of trying to get him to eat it. It does matter what or how much bulk I try to mix it in with, he won’t eat it. Dewormer seems more palatable. I think smartpak should take the picky eater symbol of this one.

Hog of a mare won't eat these!
In the 29 years I've had my mare, I've hardly ever seen her refuse a food until now. She won't even sniff her bucket, she turns her head and walks away from these. Sad, because I was hoping these would help her.
