SmartFlex Senior Herb-Free Pellets are designed to provide well-rounded joint support for older horses. This herb-free version of SmartFlex Senior is ideal for older horses that compete.
For joint support, SmartFlex Senior Herb-Free Pellets provide 8,000 mg of glucosamine, 700 mg of chondroitin sulfate, 75 mg hyaluronic acid, and 12,000 mg of MSM. This formula also contains 500 mg of the amino acid phenylalanine to help address stiffness and discomfort associated with aging. And because senior horses benefit from extra antioxidants, this supplement also contains vitamin C and super oxide dismutase. Your horse will love these tasty pellets! Very impressed!
I started our 17 year old show mare on this recently and could not be happier with the results. We purchased her as a first show horse for my 5 year old daughter and before that she had been shown heavily so we wanted to be sure she would be comfortable for years to come with us. Suorisingly it took only a week to see a difference in her. She's running and playing more than my 2 year old! Very happy with the results

for my picky horse
My picky horse wont usually eat supplements no matter how I disguise them. This was not a problem with the Senior HERB FREE pellets. He eats them right out of my hand like a treat. Thank you Smart Pak!

My old mare Daisy has a lot of arthritis but seems to be comfortable and moves around quite well. I'm convinced the Senior Herb-Free Pellets are making the difference.Great product!

Saw fast results!
I started my 15yr old QH mare on this after I noticed her coming out of her stall stiff and warm up took longer and longer. Just after 30 days she is moving like she did as a young mare. As she is still being shown by a young girl I needed something that was legal under our association's drug rules. Great product--Thank You SmartPak!

Good supplement
I used this on my older quarter horse gelding who had some joint issues going into older age and, while it definitely helped, it was not a cure all and after a couple bouts of colic he quit eating it. If your horse eats it and doesn't need super intense support, just something to take the general ache out of the old bones, this is a great product. I love how much MSM is in it, but wish it had more Glucosamine, and that is the only reason I'm switching to a different product for my younger horse.

Solved my problem
My a 17 year old retired mare is a very picky eater. About 2 months ago she decided she was not going to eat her Smart Flex Senior. She could eat everything else, but leave those pellets in the bottom of her bucket. I decided to try the herb free version, and she is eating it much better.

Horse always ate it.
My horse seemed to like the taste of the pellets. Some supplements he hates. I used it for a month and could tell tell a difference,in performance.

I bought this last month in place of the Smart Flex II pellets my mare had been on for quite some time and unfortunately she will not eat them! Have tried everything and she won't touch it, and will not eat anything I try to mix these pellets with.

Best Joint Supplement for Senior Horses
I cant believe the difference SmartFlex Senior Herb Free made in Misty, my 25 year old Polish Arab. Misty was so stiff and sore before that she couldnt even run. Now for the first time since we rescued her, she can run again. Plus she is talking up a storm now, whcih she never did before either. SmartFlex Senior Herb Free has mad a huge difference. Its like having a new horse. Thank you so much.

Great joint supplement for my barrel horse!!
I bought this supplement about a month ago in, along with the smartgut! my first time ever trying any smartpak supplements or even just smartpaks in general. I am very pleased with how my mare is riding she is no longer stiff like she used to be, we always lunge before i ride and she hated to lunge to the right because she was in so much pain from being stiff the prior joint supplement i had her on was Finish Line Fluid Action HA it really wasn't doing anything for her, i have noticed a complete 180 in her movement she is no longer stiff or cranky and she was having signs of creaking and cracking in her back hocks and she not longer creaks or cracks anymore and feels really good, she is a happy girl now and is ready to go back to running barrels again thank you smartpaks, i would highy recomend this product my mare is only 12!! so even though it says Senior, it will work for all classes of horses of any age!! it's also great for the horse that is prone to ulcers like my mare because it has no herbs to irritate their digestive tract.

Amazing for any horse!
I bought this product a month ago for my 17.2 7 y/o OTTB and he has never looked or felt better! I wanted something that would support his joints and protect them from soreness of constant work. Since he is my show horse I chose the herb free and couldn't be happier! Loving this product!

Gave it a long try but not much change.
My 16 yr old 3rd level Hannovarian has some arthritis in one hock. Tried various supplements and didn't see much in the way of results. Decided to stick with one product for a while. Since I still compete, I went with the herb-free that doesn't have devil's claw. After 10 months things are about the same. Tried the regular SmartFlex Senior on my retired horse for a few months as well with no results.

My horse's canter is miraculous.
My 24-yo started this supplement a couple months ago; of course, other things might be helping her feel good too (grass is in, more consistent work, etc.) but.... her canter is now like.... like.... riding a couch. She is a springy Arab, and her canter has always been quick and tight. But now.... she just... it's just.... I don't even know how to ride a canter that soft and even. :-) I don't know for sure if it's this supplement that's making the difference, but it could be.

Excellent supplement!
I put my elderly horses on this due to their stiff joints. Seemed to do the trick, but since I'm also using Senior Pituitary and DMG I could only afford it for one month and had to switch to MSM. I'm hoping it will do just as good as job. I do recommend SmartFlex Senior for older horses.

Excellent product!
I love this product because my horse has arthritic changes in several joints and is also a hard keeper. Although she is only 12 this supplement helps her tremendously. I like the additional MSM to keep her joints from getting swollen and painful. Since I still want to do some showing, and my horse has a very sensitive stomach, I find the herb free option to be ideal for my horse's and my needs. The added probiotics and immune boosters are excellent and help my hard keeper stay healthy. My horse looks and feels great! Thank you Smartpak!

Noticable Difference!
Both of my horses are carefully maintained and have not quite hit the "senior" mark in my opinion. After speaking with my vet and explaining I'd like just a bit more out of my joint supplement, we decided to switch to this product. I see noticeable differences in both my horses and for the value, this product is great for any horse, not just a senior.

AMAZING difference in only a few days
I love this product and its results. I purchased it only a few weeks ago, and there is an AMAZING difference. I use it on my daughter's show pony, who is 24. Her pony was already spunky for her age, but now she's so much more active. She will now gallop around in the pasture with our 10 and 8 year old mares. There is no more popping and creaking in her joints, and we just see an amazing difference. This is a great product. My daughter's pony is acting more like a 10 year old now, and we can't wait to see how the supplement has helped her improve this show season. We bought the herb-free especially for the AA/A shows my daughter is going to this year. All in all, this product is great and I totally recommend it!

Senior Horses acting like kids again!
I ordered this product for my two 31yr. old Morgans. They are healthy and in good shape but I am amazed by the difference it has made in their attitude and movement. When I turn them out they gallop out to the field, and if they are turned out with the younger horses, they run and flag their tails like they are kids again.. It was kind of scary at first. I was afraid they would hurt themselves, but they are just feeling so good and full of themselves. I am totally sold on this supplement and my horses thank you for it too!

Works amazingly
I have been using this product on my 23 yr old paint mare and it works so well! I have tried a few other supplements and nothing has worked as well as this!! She has been on this for about 4 yrs now and I remember after only being on this for a few days she improved so much! She was bucking and playing in the pasture and there was less cracking and popping in her joints. And she eats it like its a treat right out of my hand!

Does the job
I started feeding this to a 17-year-old Arabian who has been out of work for several years. When I first started riding her she had fluid in the front of her hocks. A combination of this supplement plus slow and steady exercise and return to fitness has dissipated most of the fluid. I will definitely keep her on it!

I always wondered why?
I always wondered why there was even such a product. Why wouldn't people want to use nature's medicines? ...that is until my 30 year old TBred decided he wasn't going to eat the SmartFlex Senior with the herbs. At 30 he definitely needed a joint supplement and he was getting stiffer each day. Smart Pak recommended this when they noticed I wasn't buying the other stuff any more. He ate it right away and a week later he was back to being a 30 year old that acted as if he was eight.

Love the Herb-Free
I love the herb-free options, unfortunately I found that it was a little harsh on my sensitive guys ulcer-prone system. I have yet to try the other smartflex products, but it is on my to do list. Great for those easy keeper horses who are working!

Picky eaters don't mind it, fast results
I used this on three of our horses, a 14 year old in full dressage training and competition - hence the choice of the herb free, just for maintenance, and on two retired geldings, one 25 and one 27 year old. Noticed they were much more free in their movement and more keen to get out and run after only a couple of weeks on the Smartflex Senior. Good product. would recommend.
