Good except for effect on coat
I am repeating this review because it was never posted. I used these pellets for 6 or more months, and it works well. However, my horse's coat became duller than it had been on other combo supplements. I am using another combo product with more Omega 3s for a few months in the hope his coat will shed out and look better before summer. Interesting that I received a note from SPak that they were removing Smart Omega 3s from this supplement and replacing it with Smart Shine, but I don't think this will provide more Omega 3s, and the site has not been updated to reflect his change. I want to switch back to a pellet for humid summer months, but will wait to see what SPak does with this supplement,

Great Product!!!

I have a whole new horse
My horse has been in this smartpak for 2 months now and everyone can tell a difference, my trainer, my farrier, the barn manager, it's amazing. He's happy, not overweight, no behavior changes, strong feet, a nice shedding coat, and a happy gut. I know for sure it's a happy gut because for almost 2 years we couldn't get his runny poo to go away, until this awesome supplement.
Do your horse a favor, put them on this supplement!

Working for my older horse
I have been feeding Smart Combo Senior Ultra pellets to my 20 year old quarter horse gelding for about 5 months now. He has been in good health, but had started to show signs of joint stiffness. In March of 2016 he fractured his hip. He spent about 3 months on stall rest. During that time, he started to show signs of hoof deterioration and his coat started to look dull. Amazingly, he has recovered fully while still becoming stiff if not exercised regularly. This supplement has replaced biotin supplement, a joint support supplement, HorseGuard and the pentosan injections I was giving him. It is easy to feed, the free shipping is a bonus and I have very good customer service with SmartPak.

Great for our retired horses
Have been using this and Smart Digest Ultra for our two 23 you retired QH Geldings. I feed some Senior Equine grain with their 3X daily hay. One had colic surgery years ago, both have colic histories.
My guys truly thrive on this combination and
unlike some I have never had issues with weight loss and no colic scares for years.
And they look pretty young still!
Swear by this combo!

Amazing
I have a 20 year old mare who has pretty bad arthritis and suspensory ligament weakness.
I switched her to the SmartFlex Senior Ultra pellets and could tell a huge improvement in just a couple weeks.

No problem with my horse eating these pellets.
Since I started this product, Tony (my baby) seems like he feels a lot better and shows it. He behaves under saddle, but in the pasture he runs and bucks. He's 21, so this says a lot. So glad a bought this product and will continue to do so.

I just started my 17YO mare on this a month ago. It's difficult to tell this early how much she will benefit, but it has already given me piece of mind that she is getting Omega 3's since her turnout is on sand to help contol weight. Will review in a few more months with an update on the other benefits.

As far as I can tell, my horse seems to be doing really well on this stuff! If I didn't have other grain to feed it in, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't eat it, because he doesn't seem to care for the taste a lot-- but he periodically decides he doesn't like certain flavors of treats and will only eat a different flavor, so I'm not sure I'd rely solely on my word as far as palatability. It all gets eaten, so it's not like he HATES it, he just won't eat it on its own (I tried, just to see if he would).
He does seem to find stretching easier than he did, but that could also be that he's simply become more flexible as a result of the stretches. Either way, I'm happy!

Miracle Worker
The transformation in my mare has been 110%. She was demonstrating some joint stiffness when I started her on this. In just a short month, her gait went from choppy and stiff, to smooth and flowing. And, she has always been very reluctant to give her hind legs to the farrier when he comes to work on her feet, and always looked very uncomfortable; but this past visit, she not only gave her hind legs willingly, she was actually able to stretch her legs out to a more comfortable position for both herself and for the farrier. And, there has been a huge improvement in her coat as well. My mare has PPID (cushings), and for the past five years, or so, even though she is being treated with medication for the PPID, and does shed some of her coat out, her coat still remained dark and dull; but just within the past few weeks, she has now shed out completely, and her coat has become shiny and lighter in color, which is more to her natural color. She actually has a summer coat after all. Her attitude has also improved. She is much happier under saddle, and her eyes are much more clear and alert.

SO far so good!!!
We are in to our second month of switching to Smart Pak and to my amazement he still gobbles it right up. I think it is too soon to see any differences but I will continue to use as long as he eats it!!! will let you know in a few months how he is doing at 28 years old I want to do the most I can for him and I believe SmartPak was the right choice!!

Great Product!

great combo
my girl bella is and has been a smart pak pony for a really long time, i have had her for, oh my gosh, just about 7 years. i got her from a fabulous smart pak employee, excellent blogger and all around role model. she is my second horse on smart pak and what i really like about sr. combo is just that, it is a combo, perfect for her work level and health, and quite frankly, my wallet!

Noticeable Improvement
When my gelding turned 15 I noticed his hips had become more prominent and he was starting to look his age. I was concerned, so I added SmartCombo Senior Ultra Pellets to his diet and never looked back. After about 3 months I noticed a big difference. He has filled out in all of his trouble spots and has more energy. No one believes he is 15!

Significant joint and hoof improvement!
I decided to try the SmartCombo Senior Ultra for my OTTB. He has chronic hoof issues along with joint stiffness- his prior owner had him on prevacox. After being on this supplement for roughly 3 months, he's moving great and I've been able to take him off the prevacox completely. His hooves are also looking great and no issues to date! Love this supplement!

I had my horse on another Smartpak which was multiple wells and he was sick of all the pellets and powder. I was spending a good bit of money and he wouldn't eat it. I switched to this and am spending $19/month, however he's now eating it. He LOVES these. It's worth $19/month! He's looking even better now too! I love Smartpaks!

Has to Taste Terrible
I wouldn't call my horse a picky eater, he'll pretty much eat whatever I put in front of him, but he REFUSED to eat this. It does have a bit of smell to it so I imagine it tastes bad too. I would definitely get a different supplement if your horse is a picky eater.

First Timer
I had some concerns with my 12 y/o gelding I purchased. He was just coming off of a rigorous competition schedule. I wanted to make sure he had the appropriate diet. SmartPak made sense with pre measured supplements. With only a month I have been happy with the product.

Difference Made the First Month
We just started our 2nd set of SmartPaks this past Saturday, and let me say that I can see a definite improvement in my older Senior horse. He has always been peppy, but he just looks better overall. Plus, he loves taste and laps every last smidge from his feeding bucket.

ColiCare enrolled = Relaxed
I was very interested in enrolling my show mare in the ColiCare program. The senior ultra seemed to be the best blend for her at the age of 16, and a little added hoof support is always helpful. Picky girl gobbles it up with her grain. Customer care was very helpful in getting my horse enrolled and approved for the ColiCare, and I feel a lot better about what supplements she is eating now.

I just purchased my second container of the SmartCombo Senior Ultra Pellets. With my horse recently having colic for the first time in her life, I wanted to make sure I could give her the best chance of this not happening again. With her age, 23, she is in really great shape. But, I know that for her, similar to my health, as we age things change. I talk supplements to maintain my gut health...why wouldn't she need the same. I used Smart Pak supplements for her a little less than a year ago and helped her quickly recover her weight and body tone from bad hay at the barn where she was boarded. Now with colic, I once again turned to SmartPak, knowing that these supplements are of the finest quality, to ensure her gut, joint and immune system health are optimal to gently lead her into her senior years. I can already see the benefits of the SmartCombo Senior Ultra Pellets in her ability to move better from joint health and she just looks like she feels better and I her great tummy sounds when I lay my head on her to listen.Knowing she is a little picky when it comes to eating new things, She took quickly to eating the supplements right along with her grain. I trust SmartPak to give her the gently help her body needs for this time in her life.

Cool calories
I ordered this about five months a go, to my surprise it was not in his packets that whole time..needless to say I was upset but he has been getting them now for the last month and I do believe I'm seeing a difference. I only wish we had been getting it since I contacted Smartpak as the reason I contacted Smartpak in the first place was because I needed a weight gainer....so when I called to let Smartpak know I did not like the weight gainer being sent, I was informed there was NO weight gainer being added to my packs......just then was it added :/ so I hope it works well. So far I do believe even tho it's only been a month I do believe I see a difference happening.
