Doesn’t work
I purchased this product a while ago and started using it on 3 horses in March. It seemed to work ok but now 3 months later it doesn’t work at all. Flies are still bothering my horses. Waste of money.

You can tell a difference
I board my horse who are not on any bug off supplements. My mare has been on this for 2 months now. I can tell a difference compared to the amount of flies on my horse vs the other horse. They still land on her but the flies don't swarm me like they do when I stand next to the other horses. This is not the cure all as I still have to have my horse in fly boots and a fly mask but I can indeed tell a difference.

Smart Bug-Off Ultra is an absolute WINNER!!!!!
I started this a month ago, after trying everything I have access to. I have a 12 year old Friesian mare who has basically been allergic to bugs her entire life. I have tried everything available to me and this is the 1st item that I have seen a real difference. I would turn her out with a fly mask, fly sheet, and covered in fly spray and she would still come in the next morning covered in welts. Since I started her on SmartBug-Off it is a different story and I am loving it!!!

No noticeable effect
Can't say this stuff works. I don't see my horses any less bothered by the flies, no-see-ums, etc. Harmless and makes the barn smell garlicly but probably won't buy again.

Works great!
After one month I'm very happy with the results. His coat is so shiny. Tried many topical products last year for the "dandruff" in his mane and tail with no success. This product, after one month has cleared it up. I'm assuming that the flies are not biting as his tail looks great, no rubbing. Will watch more of the next month and see if there are any other changes. The smell is quite strong, but the doesn't seem to mind it.

Really Works to Keep Gnats & Flies away
We are having a horrible year for gnats. This product has been keeping my horse comfortable. When you stand next to her there are no gnats and I haven't had to put on a fly mask yet. The gnats are swarming me but not her. She's a picky eater but she cleans it right up. So glad I picked this year to give it a try!

These pellets do a fantastic job in keeping the flies away from my horses and used together with the spray, they are comfortable all bug season!

Didn’t deter the flies at all
My horse was on the smart bug off ultra for over a year with no signs of relief from biting flies. My horse has patches of hair missing and scabs from biting insects. I used the smart bug off ultra in conjunction with fly spray and swat cream.

Successful so far
I noticed last summer that my beloved senior was becoming more sensitive to bugs. Our barn is not overly "buggy" but he was still being eaten alive with bites all over him. I purchased SmartBug-Off Ultra on sale, thinking hey it's worth a shot, it certainly can't hurt and maybe it will help. They have a very strong garlic scent to them, which I don't mind, and he apparently doesn't either! He is the pickiest of picky eaters, and I'm pleased that he eats these pellets every morning with no complaint. We're not truly into bug season yet, but so far the bugs that are out seem to be leaving him alone. I will definitely continue to supplement him with these pellets through the summer. And the price can't be beat!

Effectively working
The first month there was a noticeable difference with the flies. Now, on the second month, increased effectiveness with flies. My mare is Appendix QH and very sensitive to flies, so far very pleased with the Ultra .

Horses picked through their feed and did not eat
Horses didn’t eat it when mixed into their food. They left a lot of their feed In their bucket. And didn’t notice less flies on them so I don’t know how long it takes to get in their system before working

Very palatable .
I have a mare that is a very pick eater and she tolerates this well. I’m not sure how much of the decrease of no see- um bites is due to this product, the smart itch ease, and the fly sheet with neck and belly coverage. But I can say her chest, belly, and groin skin has never looked better!

Bonus Use
I have been using this for about 3 years because I have one horse that is a fly and tick magnet. My horses are in open pasture and it helps with the flies. I usually stop using it for the winter months when there are no flies. This winter the ticks were really bad, so I started using the product again. Within about 3 days their tick
problem was completely eradicated.

Swear by this stuff!
I have a thoroughbred who loathes anything with wings. I put him on it in March and have him on it until about November (we live in the South--you never know what the temperatures or flies are going to do!). I absolutely LOVE what it does to his coat...it especially helps him look extra sleek/handsome as his summer coat comes in. He has a total different attitude when the flies keep their distance and I consider this my secret weapon.

I think it helped!
So last year I bought this for my mare who is SUPER sensitive about flies and would go nuts in the field and be covered in welts and stuff. It definitely seemed to help. This year our flies were way worse and I can't say i noticed her having a force field around her or anything but she did still seem to not get as many welts.

Some benefits
Poco is always a favorite for bugs. He was on this from February (a month or more before bugs start appearing in NC). He was still eaten up by bugs throughout the summer. :-( I think it was a bit less than without the supplement, but he still suffered a good bit. He was the bugs' favorite in the paddock (over the other horses). He also continued to react and swell up with bites, although perhaps not as much as without the supplement. I think I will try the Smart Itch-Ease next summer.

Not blown-away with the results
I started my mare on this in March, hoping to get ahead of the fly issue. We board at a HUGE facility, so the flies are always a nightmare. I can't really say I saw a difference. The flies ate her up as much as the next horse. I will say she's an annoyingly picky eater and gobbled this up!

Smart Bug. Off Ultra really works!
I had used Simplfly . The boarding facility wasn't diligent about feeding the SmartPaks.
Towards the end of August, flies.were lined up in rows all over my pony. Most fly sprays didn't help. I restarted my pony on Smart Bug Off and within a few days I saw a difference!

insurance against bites
truthfully, not sure how much this helps to prevent or deter bug bites but I figure every little bit helps so I have continued to feed my minis the SmartBug off ultra pellets all summer, along with good practices to minimize insects/flies in the stall and pasture. I do feel that even with the tropical humidity and heat we've had this summer that the flies arn't quite as bad as they could be

Great Product
I have been using this product for one year, we have added DAILY to their feed smart bug-off and and simplifly since the summer 2017, this second summer season I have seen them healthier than ever and they have no eye infections due to flies or are even bothered by them flying around. It takes time for the supplement to work at its best, so be patient and consistent. I go to other barns and see how other horses suffer with the flies and fly mask and my horses are not bothered and they do not even need the fly mask.
