While vitamin E is found naturally in fresh grass, levels begin to drop the moment grass is cut for hay. In addition, many soils are deficient in selenium, making it hard to reach the recommended daily requirement of this mineral without supplementation. No Waste!
I purchased this supplement for a EPSM Percheron mare I recently adopted. I am seeing a positive change in her after a few weeks, but it's hard to say whether it is due to this supplement or to additional fat in her diet, or both. She does clean up every pellet, so nothing is wasted.

Care for Horses!
I was told our soil does not have any vitamin E in it here by a lot of Pros. I got this supplement for my mare! She already looks and acts healthier.
I wish my friend would believe supplements are good for all horses! This one is good for all horse types, and all horses..com!
I feel like I really am giving good care to my beautiful horse!

Good Option for Smaller Supplementation
I really like the Smart E & Se pellets. My horse came from an area with higher selenium, and I decided to supplement him with this since he receives very little grain. I was happily surprised to find it seemed to help his mental attitutude, although since both E and SE work with the nervous system, it shouldn't have been unexpected. I don't worry that the selenium is too high, unlike some supplements that have fairly high numbers; I am more comfortable knowing he is getting it without any risk of oversupplementing.

My mare loves it!
I started my mare on the Vit E after being diagnosed with EPM on recommendations from my vet. Being a super picky about what is in her feed I searched high and low for something I thought she might like. Thats when I found these pellets and knew this was my best chance. And she loved it! She is already on pelleted feed so she doesnt even notice, and just thinks her food has a new yummy taste to it!

I live in an area of North Carolina where our soil is deficient in selenium. Also, I do not think my mare gets enough Vitamin E in her feed and/or hay. This product assures me that she gets what she needs for good general health.

Good palatable product
My horse loves these pellets, and he can be a finicky eater. I've taken to giving him his daily dose as his treat! I do wish that they had more selenium in them though.

SmartE™ & Se Pellets
I feed this product to all of our horses. We get all of our hay from California which is deficient in Vitamin E and Selenium. The few cents a day it costs gives me peace of mind that they are getting the minerals they require.

Can't ask for more.
It does what it came to do... Gucci is an 8y.o. Trakehner and a picky eater, I have not had any problems with this stuff. It's also nice to have a product with minimal fillers and quality ingredients.

Fills in the Gaps
Thanks to the Customer Care Team, I was able to determine that my horse was getting slightly under the full amount of fortified grain and needed Vitamin E and Selenium to fill in the nutritional gaps. SmartE & Se to the rescue! The price is right, I was able to customize his dose and add it to his SmartPaks and I'm SO glad that it's a pellet - there is never any left in his feed bucket, so I know his needs are being met.

Chose because it's pellets
This is a good product. I would prefer to use the less expensive E-Se-Mag, but my horse tends to leave enough of the powder behind that I find the pellets to be a better choice.

I originally started feeding E and Se pellets because my mare was experiencing fatigue at shows and slow recovery from work. It was recommended by my nutritionist that I supplement her with E and Se, but prior to switching over the SmartPak, it was difficult to find and get the pony to take. In short, this is a product that has great value, and apparently taste.

Worked great! I have the bloodwork to prove it!
My pony tied up and the bloodwork showed a E and Selenium deficientcy. After using this supplement for only a short while the bloodwork came back fine. It is now 6 months later and we are still using this product and we have yet to have any more problems. Thanks Smartpak!
