As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

The SSG Windstopper is wind and water resistant. It is also breathable - allowing moisture to move away from your hand. The Windstopper fabric is soft and comfortable like a fleece. The close contact fit makes it possible for you to actually tack up without removing your gloves! Adjustable closure at wrist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value I've had these gloves for about a month. I usually wear a 6.5 or 7 in gloves, so I got the size M and am happy with the fit. The thumbs are a bit long and floppy, but since the rest of the fingers fit perfectly, I can get over this. They allow great feel on the reins and have reinforced palms and rein-fingers, so I hope they will be durable. They keep my fingers comfortable in 25 F or above while riding and tacking up, but just standing around chatting, or in temps below that, my fingers still get cold and numb. They are basically what I expected for a fleece glove at this price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for cool, not cold weather I bought these because I wanted gloves that were easy to "work with" (fiddle with bridle keepers, girth adjusting, grabbing treats etc.) and yet would keep my hands harm without sweating during a ride like my heavy gloves often do. 1. These gloves are well made, especially for the price. I was very happy there. 2. They are nice looking enough to wear outside the barn, which is handy.3. They absolutely are fitted and thin enough to make finer finger mechanics easy. 4. Now to the warmth factor...down around 40/45 degrees, they keep my hands comfortably warm (considering that at the barn your hands are constantly moving) yet don't cause sweating while riding. I was thrilled up to this point. I rode a few days ago in about 30 degree breezy weather and my fingers were about chilled to the bone. Thank god my bit was hot from the bit warmer so I could get feeling again before sucking it up and putting on my "snow packing" gloves (after getting all tacked up). Of course I did end up having the take them off before getting too sweaty in the ring as they don't breathe and I'd be left with cold, wet gloves for the next day. Yuck! So ultimately I can definitely recommend these for working in cool weather...I would not recommend them if you don't use your hands to keep warm and they are not the miracle gloves to turn to for cold climates that allow for finger flexibility in freezing temps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long-lasting! Finally, I have found an SSG glove that doesn't end up with holes after one season! I have small hands and long fingernails and nearly all my gloves have holes in the tips of the fingers and on the inside of the thumbs (where I hold the reins). These have lasted 3 years, which makes me very happy. They do stop the wind pretty well but they are NOT warm enough for the really cold days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LIVE IN THEM (and they're great driving gloves) It was pretty cold in CT these past couple of weeks with temps in the teens - but thats no reason not to ride! So while my legs - even in layers, were cold, my hands right down to my finger tips were perfectly cozy wearing these gloves. The grip is excellent and they are snug fitting so you can handle the reins with subtlety and a deft hand and anything else you need to do with no issues whatsoever. The composition is perfect.I love these gloves! And they're GREAT driving gloves too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great gloves I bought these gloves a few years ago, and I really like them. They are the only winter gloves I don't mind riding in because they are grippy enough on the palm yet thin enough that I can feel how I'm holding the reins, and there is not extra bulk from reinforcement fabric between the pinky and the ring finger, which I find very uncomfortable on most riding gloves, and none of the seams seem to bother me ;) I also like them for walking the dogs, grooming and anything else you'd do on cold days because, again, you can actually use your fingers in them, unlike in a lot of those extra heavy duty super super warm winter gloves. They've held up in the wash really well, which is great, since they're easy to clean. And the price is reasonable. I also like that they're not so warm that they make my hands sweat. That being said, on the very coldest winter days, if you're not moving around keeping yourself warm, you might need something heavier duty to keep your finger tips warm.
