Wellfleet Monocrown Hunter Bridle is rated 4.3333 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from hope this bridle is better than the previous model I hope this bridle has better durability than its previous model, the Wellfleet Raised Fancy Stitch Bridle. I first bought this bridle in 2010. In 2012, the noseband strap broke (the leather disintegrated). I then bought another of the same Wellfleet bridle to replace it. In 2014, the braiding of the reins broke and now last month the noseband strap is quickly disintegrating again, despite regular tack care.Smartpak's customer service has always responded really well to my issues along the years, but I am disappointed that my Wellfleet bridle broke on three separate occasions over 5 years. I would recommend this product as a show bridle that is not used regularly (I have always ridden 3-4 times a week in mine) because it nonetheless features beautiful, supple leather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bridle! Not So Good Reins. I love the bridle. The bridle has nice soft leather, so it didn't require a break-in period. People around the barn have been admiring my horse's new bridle. The quality and suppleness of the bridle, and the stitching is what sells this bridle. I give it four stars, however, because I really dislike the reins. They are stiff and the two-toned lacing doesn't look good and contributes to the stiffness problem. If it came with better reins, I would give it five stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft and Pretty I recently got this bridle because I wanted to upgrade to a prettier one for shows. I love the softness of the leather and the padding and fancy stitching is nice. It oiled to a slightly darker color than I wanted but a few hours in the sun lightened it back up. My only complaint is that the braids on the reins did not take oil well and stayed kind of orange/red while the rest of the reins got dark brown. It seems like the braids are made from a different leather or have some kind of coating on them. Luckily, SmartPak's great customer service allowed to be send them back for a replacement pair, which I have not yet received. Overall, this is a very pretty bridle and I am pleased with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality product!!! I was reluctant to purchase this bridle because of the great price point, but after reading the reviews and speaking to a customer service rep at Smartpak, I decided to take a chance...I am so glad I did!!! The leather is soft and supple right from the get-go and takes oil starts off a caramel colour and darkened right up. I have included photo to show the before and after. I also purchased the matching standing martingale and it is he same great quality...perfect match!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice bridle! I bought this bridle a little over a month ago for my new horse, I am really impressed with the quality of the leather! I am super picky about leather feel , hate stiff plastic-y feel of some less expensive bridles. This was soft from the get go and darkened up nicely with a couple coats of oil. It has continued to soften with use. Only gave it 4 stars because I cannot speak to it's durability but it seems very well made and I expect to have it for years.
