Another 1 Star Review
I didn't even bother taking this bridle to the barn to try it on. The leather quality was subpar - I couldn't imagine communicating clearly to my horse with those cardboard reins! The noseband was also extremely wide - I know that's a trend right now but good Lord! It would have looked ridiculous on her cob sized face - I don't think they changed the proportions as they sized down, so I can only image what the pony looks like. Returning immediately.

Exceptionally poor quality
A customer received this is a gift and we’ve been using it as a schooling bridle. It has a plastic texture and sheen and the “leather” cracks before breaking in. This bridle has less than 60 days of daily use and cleaning with quality products. Connective stitching where the noseband is sewn together looks rough already. I wouldn’t recommend this product at 1/10 the retail price.

Cheap leather for the price.
I have a beautiful older wellfleet wide noseband bridle made with gorgeous supple wickett and Craig American leather. So I recommended this bridle to a client thinking the quality would be the same. It is not, I’m not sure what the quality difference is between this and the Plymouth because in all honesty the leather is the same quality as the Plymouth and feels the same. Plastic and shiny. I have older Harwich bridles with nicer leather. This just doesn’t compare to the quality of my older wellfeet that was like a $500 bridle. Just buy the Plymouth! Same leather, better value.

No Thanks
I am surprised by the reviews. While the bridle does look pretty, it is shiny and very stiff. It almost looks like a plastic toy. For the price point I had higher expectations. This will be returned, but the search continues.

Very smart looking on my AQHA
After reading reviews on the Wellfleet Hunter bridle, I purchased, and am very happy I did. The look is stunning, and love the look of the wider noseband. Can’t wait to use this in the show ring.

Nicely crafted
The leather is very soft, the design stitching is pretty. The nose-band is padded nice and sits well on my horse. The contoured feature adds to a comfortable looking fit.

Winner!
I have purchased Wellfleet Hunter bridles in the past and been very pleased with the monocrown design. This latest edition features a very broad noseband and has curves in the headstall to accommodate the horse's ears. I used it for the first time today on my green hunter. The broad noseband looks very handsome and modern. I was only able to get the noseband to buckle on the first hole so a little bit more length would be nice, but I don't have to worry about excess sticking out from under his chin. The curved headstall concerned me when I took the bridle out of the box, but on my horse, the curve seems to disappear from a person looking at the horse on the ground. My horse usually has a very high head carriage but in this bridle he wanted to stick his nose out long and low. I don't think it was a coincidence, so I am really excited with this bridle for its functional design and rich appearance. I will use this bridle to train at home and compete at A- and AA-rated hunter shows.

Love this hunter bridle!
I love this bridle. I originally bought it for the price because I wanted to have an extra show bridle. But the leather is so supple and dark that it’s now my primary show bridle! It looks and feels nicer than my other $400 show bridle. It’s raised, padded, and fancy-stitched, and even has anatomic contouring by the ears for extra comfort. Many bridles of this quality require you to purchase the reins separately, but this one comes with matching raised, stitched reins. In addition to all of that, it’s so durable that it can be used as a schooling bridle as well. It’s stood up to being used at least three (if not more) times each week. I keep it looking great with the SmartPak Leather Cleaner & Conditioner, which is what I use to clean all of my tack. I purchased this bridle in oversize and found that it fits very true to size. And unlike other oversize bridles I’ve used, the browband leaves plenty of room across the forehead.

Wellfleet is a beautiful bridle
I bought this bridle thinking it would be my back up bridle or my hack bridle because I have some very expensive custom tack that I show in. Go figure this bridle is so gorgeous especially the fancy stitching and raised noseband I use it in the model and over the jumps with my confirmation horse. I promise you it will impress you. I want to love it, but...
I had an older Wellfleet bridle for TB and I LOVED it - well designed, and the leather was butter soft - people were amazed it was not a $500 French brand.
So, when I needed a new bridle for my Holsteiner, I ordered a newer Wellfleet bridle. The first thing I noticed when I opened the bag was the leather quality - not great. Very plastic-y and it took a lot of effort to get it close to wearable. Even two months out, the reins are still stiff.
On the plus side, it fits well and is well made - the padding is thick and the stitching is even throughout. But I’m just not sure this is a keeper!
