I didn't like the look of it
I didn't like the look of it. It was kind of bulky, especially the noseband.

OK for the Price
I got this bridle on sale, so I'm happy enough with it. The leather is acceptable, but not what I had come to expect from the Wellfleet line (I have an older Harwich that has much softer leather), and the "anatomical" crown piece actually cuts back in a way that kind of rubs the lower side of my guys ears, but he seems okay. The biggest problem is that the "oversize" reins are not practically designed... the rubber portion starts so far back that it's impossible to ride with short reins (like the part where your hands go doesn't even start for like 2.5 feet back from the bit). I do like the wide, crank noseband and removable flash... makes for a lot of adjustability. And the overall size (except for the funky "anatomical top") fit my draft-cross well. I recommend the Harwich over this one unless you need the crank part... and even then, you probably need to buy separate reins.

Fit a little funny, leather is nice.
I’ve been using this bridle for several months now. For the price (especially on sale), I’m pleased with it. One of the keepers on the throatlatch broke the first time I used the bridle, but others have been fine.
As for the fit, check out the product photo. The bridle sits close to the horse’s eye, requiring a larger browband than what comes with the bridle. I put a 17” on it eventually, and my mare usually fits in a 16”.

The leather is soft right out of the box and it looks to be well-crafted. The fit was not perfect, but I’m going to swap out for a larger browband and see if it fits better.
