The high neck design offers additional protection and provides a great fit for horses with high withers. I bought this last month. It arrived promptly and well packaged (comes with a clear plastic zippered bag for off season storage).
Reviews suggested upsizing. My Arab wears a size 72. I bought a size 75 and it fits perfectly. It is indeed a medium weight blanket and totally warm and waterproof in our 30’s to 40’s degree rainy spring weather in Northern NY. Thanks for a great product. Will definitely buy again.

mid weight turn out
love the plaid color - easy to spot among all the other solid blue and green blankets. fis great, my only suggestion is the crossing butt clips need to be a little larger to easily clip into the D ring - especially with gloved, cold hands!

I love the color and style of this blanket. The high neck helps keep my mare dry on wet days. Everyone complements on the color. It did run smaller than typical weatherbeetas. My mare is a 72 normally in weatherbeetas but a 78 fit her perfectly

Love it
I'm using this blanket for a few weeks now, after my gelding ripped his old one apart. This one holds up great so far, no single rip or hole or scratch! Also, it is very breathable, I've never noticed any sweating underneath it, like I was noticing with other blankets. I also like the high neck design that prevents rain from getting under. And its cute! )

Good product, good price
I bought a 78 for my OTTB, it is slightly big but will work well. The straps and buckles seem hardy, and the higher neck will help keep rain out and keep this high-withered horse comfortable.

Nice blanket
I have several weatherbeeta blankets so was happy to add this one. 4 stars as it runs smaller than otter weatherbeetas. And it is quite snug across the shoulders as it does not have the shoulder gussets that others have. Probably a better fit for my ottb instead of the warm blood I bought it for.

Great Product
This is a fantastic product for the price. Fits my horse well and has held up perfectly so far. It’s been raining for a week and every time I go out there he is dry underneath and still warm. My only wish is that it had the snaps in the front, but that’s just an aesthetic preference.

Great blanket at a great price
I just received this blanket after I bought during a sale. The blanket seems really durable and comes with a 3 year warrenty. I have the high neck, medium weight version. This isn’t so much a review of the blanket but of SmartPak’s amazing customer service. Due to a shipping warehouse delay, shipping took a few days longer than normal. I was immediately notified of the delay and told they would ship the blanket next day air at no additional cost! I received the blanket the next day! I have been a longtime SmartPak customer and have always been super happy with the products and the service! I will be a customer for life!

Good quality but tight shoulders
I Did not realize when I placed my order that this blanket did not have shoulder gusers. With out the extra room in the shoulders it was too tight. I could tell it would rub bare spots in no time. Otherwise a very nice blanket, my mistake in ordering.

Great Value
It had been a while since I'd bought a new Weatherbeeta- I'm pretty loyal to HorseWare.
That being said, I realized that Weatherbeeta does run smaller in length and body depth than HW, so I'm using these on my younger ones and the HW on my slightly chubby, retired broodmares.
The denier feels tough and the fill is nice and lightweight.

Had problems getting this order (had to call about it after ordering over the phone). Bought 2 for quarter horses. They are not lined all the way down the sides like the SmartPak brand but they fit a little better. Not quite as tight across the chest. Don't seem to be as straight across the back also.

Quality blanket, maybe not for thick necks
I haven't decided if I will keep the blanket, but I bought this after having a Genero Turnout sheet previously. My draft cross needed a thicker blanket, and has high withers where blankets usually like to rub. I figured I'd treat the old man to some extra protection with the high neck. The blanket itself is a little bit big for him, but I'm afraid if I size down that the neck hole will strangle him (plus he is between sizes). We may only have a day or two where he will need it, so I will probably keep the size that's a little big. Overall the quality of the blankets is great, and though I only use blankets a couple times a year, they have proven to be durable.

Perfect Fit!
Got this to replace my 10+ year old medium weight of the same brand/model. So far it fits perfectly on my 18 hand, narrow, and high-withered horse. Not 2 days after it arrived, he wore it in a rain storm and stayed completely dry underneath it. The blanket itself was dry as well, which was great.

Great coverage
I have been buying these blankets for several years. I can always count on their quality and fit. I raise paint horses and have broodmares out in pasture. Some of the horses are hard on blankets. I can always count on atleast a couple of years out of these blankets. I have paid a lot more on blankets and only been able to get one winter out of them.

Great Blanket
