Sturdy does run big
This fly sheet rocks. My gelding has yet to destroy it and it’s offering him some great relief from the bugs. It does run big so order a size down (I did based on other reviews and it fits perfect). It is heavy weight so can be hot when the temps go up, but worth it for me if he can’t destroy it

I like the fly sheet. Relearning: the sizing covers 3 sizes. If your horse is 78 you probably want to order a 75 because it is supposed to fit much bigger also. It does not fit my horse, either one, as in the picrure. Both German Warmblood and part draft have a gappy neck that's too far back on the withers. Disappointing. I would prefer a Kensington however they don't have an integrated belly band so this one is the next best thing. I don't like the fabrics that cling to the horse's coat and this one does not. It is however quite stiff which is okay when on the horse but awkward to handle. Works fine, seems very sturdy.

Ripped after a week
The fly sheet seemed very durable, but but half of the trim was ripped off i don’t know how this happened, but very disappointed.

great to keep a show shine!
when I first got it I was a bit sketchy about it but then I fell in love with how protective it is and how shiny my horse is because he is not getting sun bleached! the only flaw is the fly mask and how his hay and dirt gets stuck on the fuzz. so I just use my handy smartpak fly mask! And the shoulders aren't to tight for my big shouldered warmblood which is a plus!

Sturdy
Covers nicely, very durable ,easy to hose off for cleaning. No rips, even with my Mustang rubbing on the trees.

Heavy blanket
I bought this flysheet thinking it was a tougher material but it is so still and heavy it rubbed my horse raw after a few days. We take all the fly sheets off at night so the rubbing was done during the day. Will never buy again. Sticking only with the Amigo brand so far the best on the market for my horses.

Well made, but too heavy for hot summers.
I just received this fly sheet, but have decided to send it back. I am a true Weatherbeeta fan and had high hopes for this sheet, however with our summer temps consistently in triple digits, this sheet was just too heavy. It is very well made and if you need something durable I am sure it would be great, but if you’re looking for a light weight, cool and tough sheet, the Weatherbeeta Ripshield fly sheet is a much better option. This sheet is a thick mesh, similar to that of your run of the mill fly masks.

Works
Bought this about a month ago. Moved to VA from OK. The bugs are huge & horrible. It holds up to rolling and playing and does it's job. However, 2 minor things. Belly band a little big so bugs can get trapped in there. Doesn't happen that often and the neck piece opens a bit in middle. Not a big deal my girl is so much happier when she has this on. Even with hot days and humidity she is fine.

Poor fit
Very awkward sizing - too long and very narrow chest. Returned for a different brand

Very stiff fabric
I use a fly sheet to try to keep my mare black... living in Texas makes this a bit difficult. I’ve tried the Amigo Mio as it has a high UV rating, but it rips easily. (Some Mios have lasted a season and others less than a week... depends on where my horse decides to roll/rub.)
So I was very excited to find this sheet with a high UV rating, and now I am disappointed in it.
The fabric is a very stiff fabric that is rubbing her in weird places.
I LOVE the belly band and the loop on the neck cover that keeps the neck cover from sliding back. There’s a loop on the free fly mask that I attach it to... it kinda sticks up, but everything stays where it should.
I am also impressed with how clean the fabric is staying.
I simply wish it wasn’t so stiff. If you look at other reviewers photos you’ll see how their fly masks still have crease lines and weird buldges.
The stiff fabric also makes it difficult to keep the sheet neat and tidy when stored. It does not fold easily.
