As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

Tuff Rider Plus Rider Field Boot is a soft leather field boot which features a wider calf, in addition to two stretchable leather gussets on either side of the zipper, so every rider can find the perfect fit.  A breathable mesh lining will keep your feet comfortable even after hours in your boots and a reinforced patch on the inner calf will provide extra grip and allow for longer wear.  Other features include side spur rests and a snap closure that lies over the zipper at the top of the boot.

Tuffrider Plus Rider Field Boot is rated 3.7778 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value These just arrived, so I can't comment on the durability of the zippers (always a concern with tall boots) but I am pleasantly surprised by how nice they are. Much better than the picture! The sewn-down swagger tab does create some artifact at the top of the boot, and they will not be tall enough for me after they drop, at least for AA level hunter/jumper showing. BUT to get a boot that fits in the calf, at this price point, is like a miracle, so for schooling, fox hunting, and local showing, these are great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok for the price I bought these a few weeks ago when my previous boots had a zipper blowout and buying a new pair was more cost and time effective. They ended up being slightly too big in the foot (wish they came in half sizes!) and a little too big in the calf, but I was desperate and didn't have the time to send back and wait for the smaller size. Despite this they are comfortable, have broken in nicely and look great for the price. The leather on the leg part of the boot feels rather cheap, not sure if it will hold up very long. Overall I am pleased enough with this purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad for the price These are a pretty good deal, but do know you get what you pay for. The boots have a nice, grippy patch on the inside calf as seen in pics, however on my boots you could clearly see the silver pen markings that the boot makers used to center the patches correctly. Not a big deal but meh. This is actually my first pair of tall boots, so I can't really comment on the easiness of breaking in, however after wearing them around the office once and for two rides, I've yet to get a blister. I did manage to lightly scratch the side of one boot a little. Sigh. Hopefully I can disguise it if necessary.Now... Measurements. This is an awesome boot for the short chick. However, the measures are kind of messed up. I measured my leg exactly as every retailer recommended. Based on that, I ordered the short. Then when I got them, they were way, way too short. Well, except for the Spanish cut part. If they were that length all around, they would have been perfect. So then I ordered a standard, and they fit perfectly. I'm 5'3". Pretty sure this is the only boot that I'll ever be a "standard" in. Also, know that you will probably need to size down. They run big in the footbed. I usually wear an 8, sometimes a 7.5. Based on other reviews, I ordered a 7, which fit just fine.Still, for that price, it wasn't hard to ignore the quirks and flaws.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very comfortable, but zipper is poor quality. I purchased these, a few weeks ago. I schooled in them twice before the left zipper separated. There was, absolutely, no strain on the zipper, as the boots did not fit snugly. They are very comfortable and attractive looking, but a tad short. There was no breaking in time, which was nice. I have returned these, for another pair. I really hope these ones last longer. Customer service has been very helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love, but too short... enough that judges notice.. For the comfort, quality and a boot that fits my 19" calves.. love these. The leather was stiff enough that I actually had a little break in time and not just soft and squishy out of the box. However, I'm 5'8" and they are just too short. Short enough, that I probably should have noticed, but since they fit my calves and replaced my paddock boots and half chaps I did not care. As far as a boot to wear at home and school in, they are great for me. Given my height and desire to show, looks like next stop is customs or never ever, ever showing in a eq class again (which is actually appealing...)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them! Finally boots that fit...and look good! Just put them on and they are beautiful...I had concerns when ordering as priced solow. I had originally ordered another brand which were more $ and was not overlyimpressed. Sent those back to get these. They are lovely and even fit with fuxxy socks on! A bit shorter than perfect, (I am 5'8") but not too bad. Shoe size on target for me, I am usually a 10 and they're good. I will see how they wear but right now, I'm over the moon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I act ually love these boots the boots arrived quickly and they totally easily zip over my 19.5" calf NO Problem there. LOL whew!!the leather is nice and soft on the foot but stiffer on the calf part of the boot. Honestly i like them a lot. my only problem with them is the foot bed is too large. i problem i never seem to have with my chubby wide feet. id say the boot is actually closer to a 9.5 and it's supposed too be a 8. it seems quite a bit too large, plenty wode so don't be afraid there. I"m debating keeping them just for shows or sending them back and trying the size 7 but that size has an inch smaller calf measurement and while these zipped pretty easy i dont think that the 1" smaller would...... hmmmmm. anyway I"m 5'6" and the standard fits me beautifully height wise.I agree with the prior reviewer that the sewn in tab on the top does make the leather wrinkle a little ( its not functional, but for appearance sake ) anyway they are nice boots IMO at a great price and if you fit their limited sizing i think you will love them and they seem very sturdy. the zipper looks to be very sturdy as well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I waited patiently for these boots to come out since I figured it was probably my last hope for plus sized tall boots. I tried Fuller Fillies and they were still too small in the calf. My calves are very nearly 20" each and there is no way to make the FF boots work, so when these came along I was super excited to try them! So here comes the good news. I ordered a size 9 and they DID zip up but just barely. Great so far... until I zipped them all the way to the top and realized that they are a good 3" TOO SHORT. These weren't even the short sized boots I ordered, and the size chart said 18 3/4" tall so in theory they should have fit me since my lower leg height measures just barely 18". I wish i had a measuring tape so i could measure the true height of these but they are most definitely not 18 3/4" tall... even accounting for the heel. If they drop even a little bit they will look ridiculous as they are already way too short. So these boots are truly for shorter people seeing as I'm 5'7" and thats really not THAT tall.As far as the craftsmanship goes these boots aren't too bad. The leather is nice and soft and it looks like the elastic in the back allows for plenty of stretch (although I wonder how long it will hold up seeing as it IS very similar looking to spandex). The lining of the boots are pretty comfortable and the zipper is sturdy looking too. There was some glue or something that started to come undone near the edge of the zipper as i zipped it up, but i'm not sure if it was anything more than the glue to hold the leather around the zipper down for appearance sake. The area near the top of the boot with the tab thats sew down looks terrible. Its all pocked and not smooth looking at all. I'm not sure why they put the tab on like this because all it did was make the leather look wrinkly. Not very pretty if you want to show in them at some point. All I can do is hope they come out with taller ones, so with a heavy heart these will be going back to Smartpak... :(
