As riders and online shoppers, we know it can be tough to buy a new bridle or pair of boots without trying them on. That's why we moved the fitting room to your living room (or barn)! From breeches to blankets, if you or your horse can try it on, you can return it, free! Just use the pre-paid return label included in your order within 60 days from the purchase date. And of course, please make sure the item is in like-new condition with original packaging (we said 'fitting room', not 'war room'!).

Why We Love This

Tuff Rider Winter Riding Boot is rated 4.215909090909091 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from great features spent the whole winter wearing them and was so happy! they are comfortable to ride in (both bareback and in any type of saddle) and just hanging out in the barn. like the waterproof ability and comfortable fitting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Value but ran small in calves Great product for price seemed like they would be warm. Tried on the size 10 even though I am usually an 8.5-9 and they would fit with winter sock layers fine. Especially need foot width. Were too tight in the calves for me (normally I am xxw calf) but I could zip them but they were snug. With my high instep I had trouble getting out of the boot without my calf going into muscle spasm. Not ideal for my high instep and wide calves!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish it came in tall... Got these to try for winter riding boots, and while they seem well made and warm they came to upper mid calf on me. Looked silly so I returned them. Wish they came in talls...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect winter boot for taller riders. I am 5'10" with praying mantis appendages, so sometimes it's hard to find apparel that fits properly. These boots are a bit under my knee, but for not being specifically talls, that's really not bad! It only took a morning of doing barn chores to get them broken in enough to be really comfortable, which is a super plus. The calves are still a little tight and I don't think I'll be able to layer too much just yet, but they're perfect under my winter breeches. The foot is wide enough to where I will be able to wear my wool socks when the calf gets a little more stretched out. I have bunions and this boot has the perfect width to accommodate them without any discomfort. I'm surprised at the folks who don't see themselves riding in these boots. I have a pair of Mountain Horse boots that are even larger than these and I feel like a lumberjack in those. (I still ride in them!) I've ridden in these twice and I'm really pleased with the flexibility. I suppose if you have children's stirrups and you're a grown adult that might be a problem, but overall these boots are the bee's knees. They do run quite small, though- I'm normally an 8.5-9, but I got the 10's. Perfect fit and they look super sharp! The sale makes them a total steal!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't Imagine Actually Riding In These Clodhoppers I read all of the reviews before buying these to try myself. First of all, I'm 5'2" but not petite because my legs are longer, so I thought they would work. They did NOT. They were into my knee at the top, so that was the first clue. The second clue was the bulky and stiff feeling of the legs. They are almost impossible to zip, not because they are tight but because the zipper was very stiff. They flex at the ankles so you feel you're wearing rubber boots. BUt you have to shove your foot in almost like a ski boot, where there's that moment where you feel like you might break your foot because it gets all the way in. And most of all, they were so heavy and bulky, I can't imagine feeling anything on the horse when I ride! I didn't get a chance to test their warmth because they were on for all of 3.5 seconds. Maybe for walking out to the field in drifts of snow, they would be great, but riding would feel impossible and doing chores would feel like I was walking around in cement boots. What strange boot! I sent them back for someone else to try to figure out!
