Tredstep Giotto Paddock Boots - Lace is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought these boots a couple of years ago after my Ariat paddock boots died after only 1.5-2 years of use despite (what I consider to be) diligent care. After having the same experience with the Ariat boots for years and years I finally decided to give something else a try and I have not been disappointed! I would consider these to be the same quality as the $200 Ariats I had been buying. I can't comment on the comfort of the footbed as I wear orthotics in my boots but everything else has been top notch. The zippers in the back are a wonderful addition and they don't slide down like some other boots I've had.I should note that these haven't been getting as much use as my Ariats used to - I'm a college student now and don't ride as much as I used to - but they are still looking great! I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a quality paddock boot that is comfortable, affordable, and holds up well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just Not the Boot I Wanted I was excited to try these boots because they sounded like a good replacement for the Ovation boots I had and loved so much. These sounded even better because there is both a back zipper and laces. However, the laces are not really tieable laces. They are stretchy, permanent laces and the only access is through the zippered backs. It felt like putting on a ski boot. They were fairly stiff and didn't have the give I wanted. I thought wearing them for a bit might help, but they were very loose at the ankles and gapped, with no way to tighten that area. I sent them right back and continued my search.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfort Plus! I've been a die hard Ariat fan and was extremely hesitant to try another brand. A friend recommended Tredstep and I am so glad they did! These boots are comfortable, no break-in required and the fit is perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish & Durable I've had these boots for over two years, and they have seen hours of use every day in all weather. We live in an area with tons of sand. I rarely if ever ever cleaned them (basically just for clinics or horse shows-this is anonymous, right? lol) The right zipper blew out only about 2 weeks ago. Left one is still fine. I re-ordered the exact same pair immediately- didn't even look through the catalog for other options. No need. Oh, and I am having the zipper replaced on the old ones so I will have a spare pair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful quality My previous paddock boots were Ovation front-zips and I had had them for about a year and a half; the zippers had begun splitting, so I was in the market for something that would hold up just as well, if not better, and with better quality zippers. The Giottos came out of the box very flexible but were tighter in the ankle than I expected. I'm sure this is because of the style of the boot (back-zip) and that they were brand new; they have loosened up nicely now but the first few times I wore them, I did get a bit of a workout putting them! I feel very secure riding in them and haven't experienced any rubs or pinching. They provide a nice amount of space in both the toe area and the fronts for the top of the foot. The only reason I did not rate them with 5 stars is because I haven't owned this pair long enough to truly test their longevity and overall quality but I don't foresee any issues with them whatsoever.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed! Already falling apart--just purchase I purchased these maybe lesss than a month ago--it's my second pair--I loved my other pair and wore them out. The laces from my midpoint to the toe on the left boot-broke and came out. yikes! I noticed the feel on the left paddock boot was looser. With the zip up at the back --I guess I didn't notice when they broke :-( I really loved my last pair of tredsteps--will follow-up with Smartpak and see about returning this pair and trying again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent support & comfort Lovely leather boots on super grippy rubber soles fit like a dream on my old lady, between sizes feet. I was able to use a half size smaller than normal for the best fit i've ever had, having owned 5 pair of riding boots over the past 25 years. I've only ridden in these a few times and am hoping they wear as well as they look.
