Works great
We have used this type of muzzle for some time now. It works great for our horses to keep them from over eating.

Horrible quality! Padding worn through in 1 wear
Bought this for my elderly mare. Grass is finally coming in so put it on her yesterday. In one turnout session, the padding over the nose is worn through. It’s only a matter of time before it starts rubbing her raw. I wish I had not wasted my time/money on this very sub-par, low quality muzzle. Buy something else!

Does the job
I moved to the Bluegrass of Kentucky from the ARID no grass beautiful state of Colorado. I knew the grass would be an issue for my horses, but they all turned into Thelwell ponies before the grass even came up! So, the poor fatty's have to live in grazing muzzles. The bigger air holes help with breathing especially when it is hot. Some reviews commented on problems with keeping them on, and I use a broodmare leather neckstrap and a small piece of baling twine to tie it to the top of the muzzle and it is Houdini horse proof!

Flimsier than the black ones
We have purchased these in black several times before and decided to try the orange ones to make it easier to find in pasture if they came off. You can definitely see them but the webbing and the straps seem thinner and don’t stay tight, often slipping off their mouths

Causes rubs
I've had to glue padding just about everywhere because the fabric is stiff and scratchy and causes rubs on my horses lips and face

Affordable and Works
I've had this muzzle now for a few months for my easy keeper endurance gelding. First things first, I noticed a lot of reviews before I bought it about the breakaway and how it wasn't very affective. They were right, once I got it I tested the breakaway and I could not get it to release, because I knew this was likely going to be an issue I had a solution in mind that I can say after a few months experience works perfectly. I took some duct tape and wrapped a portion of the Velcro with duct tape, I wanted it to breakaway very easily so I wrapped about 2/3rds of the Velcro with the duct tape. Other than the breakaway which was a simple solution I really like the muzzle, it's a grazing muzzle, it does what a grazing muzzle does. My horse wears it about 12 hours a day and does have quite a few spots that he's gotten rubs, primarily under his chin, again, duct tape to the rescue and that's worked well but has to be replaced frequently and the Velcro breakaway does irritate him so I put a fleece shadow roll over it.

The main challenge with those is keeping them on! Not sure why they all make them with a cheek strap rather than a real throatlatch that would be better at keeping the headstall from easily sliding over the ponies' ears. However, I also have a fat pony with breathing issues and this model seemed to offer less nostril obstruction. It turns out, because Feleen is breathing more easily, she's not trying to take it off as much: it's staying on! And it even seems to not be rubbing her skin as much. So far, it's the best fit I've found for her.

Great features!
This muzzle lets my horse breath much better. She is an over eater and is out in pasture all night. Love the orange color! Can see that she has it on when I look for her in morning. She has rubbed others off in the past... also it was a great price!!

Very easy to see when she loses it!
My mare is really good at taking it off. The Velcro on the headstall doesn’t stay closed like it should. I taped it with electric tape and it still pulled out. I’m going to remove the Velcro and see it shut. Other than that it works great when she has it on.

quality has gone downhill
I still have a couple of these purchased 2 or 3 years ago. The new ones fell apart within months. The strapping is also prone to stretching and the clasps do not hold. Everyday I adjust the straps because they slide and become loose. I'm searching for other options - very disappointed in the quality.

Great features
This muzzle seems to working very good. The color is bright enough that I think if it was to come off I could find it easily in our very large pasture. I've had it about a month and so far it hasn't come off or caused any rubbed spots. I mostly put it on during the day and off at night.

Awesome product
My gelding wears a grazing muzzle daily for about 8 hours. The Tough 1 Easy Breathe muzzle in large horse fits his 15.1 Quarter Horse frame well, and holds up well this his daily abuse. I did have to order a muzzle liner though as it was rubbing his chin.

I really like this muzzle!
My pony appreciates the unobstructed breathing with the big nostril holes. I also like the rectangular opening that seems to allow longer blades of grass in.
Stays on, easy on off. I would buy again!

Actually works
I previously purchased the ThinLine muzzle and it didn’t work at all. This muzzle actually stays on and does what it is designed to do. I will say, like most muzzles, it will rub your horse. I put some Bag Balm on those spots to help minimize the rubbing.

Rubbed chin raw
Disappointed with this muzzle. This is the first muzzle I ever had to get. Seemed to have good features with the added nose holes for breathing. My horse wore this muzzle for less than a week. The sores were just too bad to continue. I put moles king to try to soften but did not work. Terrible rubs under chin, on nose and today started along jawline. I guess it just did not fit him well.

Super Bright Color
I've had these for about 1 month now, and while the noseband is supper padded and soft my horses have already ripped the plastic from the nylon pieces. The two plastic tabs are no longer attached to the top of the padded portion of this grazing muzzle. While they're in a paddock with other horses, they're not generally this destructive. On both of the horse size ones I purchases I've also noticed that the velcro is failing quite quickly, as well as the straps throughout the day, loosen significantly.
I have an older cob version of the tough one and the grazing basket portion is holding up well (the attaching straps did break but still works wonderfully with some carabiners)
My horses wear their's for roughly 6hrs a day.
Overall it's not a nad product for the price but if your horse is super rough on their muzzles I wouldn'recommendnd this product.
Side note: The orange is EXTREAMLY bright. It closely resembles hunter orange.

Rubbed my horse terribly!
I checked the fit and all seemed good, but after a few hours in this muzzle my horse rubbed her lower jaw raw! I will be returning, though I'm disappointed I have to pay return shipping for something that hurt my horse. I'm going back to my fleeced one.

Lasted 2 weeks
Bought this 2 weeks ago..my horse did not even wear it all day, each day. Noticed after a day or so the stitching started coming loose and separating g parts of the noseband. A few days ago, I found it dangling around his neck. No idea what happen, but you. An see the pics. Very disappointed. I bought 2 and while the stitching is loose on the other one...it is still intact. Not sure I would buy it again or would recommend

Great fit
This muzzle is well made and adjustable for a good fit. My horse is relaxed and happy grazing with it on and so far has not removed it. Fingers crossed. The bright orange should be easy to find if he does decide remove it.

Already broke and rubs chin are
I have used the regular tough one grazing muzzles with pretty good success, so I thought that I would try this since it looks better with the bigger holes. For some reason, the way that it is made makes it rub really badly on the chin area. I also bought two of them and one broke after one use and the other broke after about 3 uses because it is not riveted like it shows in the picture here, it is only sewn.

Something Changed...
This used to be my go-to grazing muzzle. It was well made and had large holes around the nostrils for easy breathing. When I ordered this year, I could tell the product was made differently than the previous year (June 2020). First - the rubber smells horrendous - that strong fumey, oily smell. I have had it soaked in buckets and hanging outside for 3 weeks now and it is still there. I am reluctant to put my horse's face in there for 12 hours. Plus, the straps are thinner and overall it looks much more cheaply made and slightly smaller than the same size I bought the previous year. I am so sad!

Doesn’t hold up well :/
I have a mare that is good with leaving blankets and muzzles alone doesn’t try getting things off or messing around just a lazy laid back girl. I bought this muzzle months ago and after a month one of the straps I noticed just snapped off so I contacted smartpak and they had me send it back and sent me a replacement and now a couple months later with new one I noticed the Velcro is not sticking anymore sadly so can’t use it just falls off her face. I also noticed the clip part that goes where there chin is is rubbing a stain on her face from the metal.

Does the job!
This works great for my fence-chewing donkey. It’s a bit heavy on her, but prevents the chewing. I like the hole at the bottom, perfect size for treats!
