Stays on and makes life easier
I was soaking with a borrowed bag and had to constantly supervise my mare. Now I can set her up and let her hang out. She stomps around and everything stays in, this is a life saver for absecessing OTTBs!

my mare actually keeps it on
I have quite the fussy mare and wasnt sure she’d accept it. I have no problem getting them in her, keeping them on her, and removing them. I went a little bigger to make it easier in both of us

Perfect for what I bought it for.
I bought this because my mare was less that cooperative about having her foot soaked. This boot made the process SO easy. The added bonus was that I could also use it to keep her foot clean during turnout. No more worries about duct tape wraps falling off or wearing out. I ended up needing to treat another foot, as well, so I bought a second one. They were used daily for several weeks and really held up well.

Durable and a 'must have'
I've been using Davis boots for years but always borrowing one. My horse needed to soak both his front feet at the same time so I bought two. This way I won't have to borrow any more. They are heavy duty, durable and will last for years. They now come with the insert, which for the price, they should. The Velcro closure is a little tricky to get the hang of, but once you do, you'll understand why it's designed this way. The closure also doesn't last as long as the boot (4 star instead of 5) so you'll need Duct tape in the long run. I recommend applying the boot first then filling with fluid. Otherwise, you'll probably get the fluid on you as most horses, if not used to the boot or haven't used one in a while, know that something weird is on their foot and will try to get it off. It's a terrific product that everybody should have in their tack box. You may not think you need it but, will be happy you have it if you ever do.

Fits my mare!
My mare has very small feet, axp 4" width x 4-1/2" length so ordered the size 1 and it's no problem getting on or off as I used it the day it arrived as my mare abcessed and she kept it on and no rubbing. Highly recommend this boot!!

Perfect for soaking a hoof!
My horse got a puncture wound in the sole of one of her hooves that I discovered on Thursday late afternoon. Vet arrived in the evening (emergency call, Yeah!), and told me that she needed to have that hoof soaked twice a day for the next several days. I tried using a bucket, which sort of worked until it didn't, and then a garbage bag taped closed around the leg, which was okay but difficult to manage if she tried to move, which of course she did.
Anyway, on Friday morning, a friend sent me a link to the Davis soaking boot, and Smartpak had it in stock, in my horse's size (aka a larger size). I ordered it, as well as some other supplies, and I had them on Saturday! Major kudos to Smartpak!
Anyway, the boot works extremely well for soaking a hoof. Just make sure you look at the sizing chart and get the correct size.
