The SureScoop was created to be able to accurately and conveniently measure equine feed. The SureScoop is designed to measure both sweet and pelleted feeds. The feed manufacturer's recommendations can be followed with confidence using the ¼, ½, ¾ and 1 pound increments. The SureScoop allows horse caretaker's to feed properly so that the nutritional requirements of the horses are met. The SureScoop is made of durable plastic that will handle the daily demands of the barn with no problem.
It's important that your horse is fed correctly- by weight (pounds) not by volume (quarts). You can be confident that by using the SureScoop, you will be feeding your horse properly using pounds, not quarts, to measure sweet/textured and pelleted horse feeds. not accurate
I bought a kitchen scale, set the tare weight of the SureScoop and then added the grain. What was suppose to be one pound of sweet feed (Blue Seal Vintage Sweet), weighed only .65 pounds. Blue Seal's Sentenniel Senior weighed only .70 pounds at the "one pound" marker. So not all feed products weigh the same (that's a given) so don't expect this scoop to be accurate with your type of feed.

Makes Feeding Easy
Feeding at my small barn can be very hard as we have yearling that is quickly growing and an older horse that is hard to keep weight on. We are always bringing weighing grain out to ensure that each are getting the appropriate amount. The SureScoop has made this a much easier process. No more adding and subtracting small amount of grain to the scale to get just the right amount. All you need to do with the SureScoop is fill to the appropriate line and dump into the feed bucket. This has certainly cut down on our feeding time and makes it easy for anyone to feed at the barn.

Great Idea!
I was using the quart system to measure my horses' grain. I honestly had no idea how much I was giving them, 1 got a half scoop, the other just over 3/4's. I was concerned that I was either giving too much or not enough, so I decided to buy this scoop and make sure. Apparently, I was pretty accurate on how much grain I was giving, my half scoop ended up being 1 1/2 lbs and my "just over 3/4" ended up being 2 1/2 lbs, which were great amts for my horses' work loads and body weights. But this scoop helped me make sure that I was giving the right amount. I think peace of mind is definitatly worth $8.95.

Perfect for Feed!!
I recently bought a year old filly and of course the amount of grain changes as they get older, and I wanted to make sure my filly is getting the proper amount of grain, this scoop takes the guesswork out of feeding! Every barn should have one!

Love this product
The Sure Scoop is the handiest feed measure on the market. It takes a lot of the guesswork out when I'm doling out the grain & beet pulp.
The scoop is made to last and withstands a great deal of abuse. Even the inscriptions do not wear off easily after daily immersion in water and feed.

Great Product
This is a great product, easy to use and very eye-opening! I tested it against a scale to make sure and it's very close as far as pelleted feed. And found out the "scoop" method the boarding barn was using was underfeeding my horse by a couple of pounds a day! So, either go through the trouble of measure and weigh or go easy and get yourself one of these.

A bit small
The scoops are nice to have so that I know what I am feeding for grain in terms of pounds. But, they are rather small and only hold 1 1/2 pounds of pelletted grain per scoop which is how much my mare gets per feeding.

I think that this is the best idea! It works great, the only problem that I have is that it is too small to scoop out all my horses grain at once. However, I do like knowing the weight of each type of grain and how it differs.

Convenient for multiple horses
Product would come in handy for barns with several horses where each has different feed requirements. I had filled individual containers with a cat food scoop thinking it was about 1#. The SureScoop confirms that. It will save a small amount of time as I will only have to scoop one time for each horse instead of 2. Nice convenience, but not sure it is worth $8.95 for what is in effect a plastic cup with weight lines.
