Washing Instructions:
• Machine wash in cold to warm water
• Use mild detergent
• Hang to dry
• Do not use bleach or fabric softener
• Do not put in dryer

Instructions for first use:
• Because different horses take different lengths of time to get used to ceramic technology, introduce your horse to SmartTherapy™ ThermoBalance™ slowly
• Start with 1 to 3 hours per day for the first few days and observe your horse’s response
• After 4 or 5 days, if your horse seems acclimated, you may gradually increase the number of hours the product is worn each day if desired
• If your horse is accustomed to wearing gear unsupervised and it will be safe for them to do so, consider having your horse wear the product overnight to maximize SmartTherapy’s benefits

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChelCost2022 from It really works!!!!! I bought this blanket hoping it would be a more affordable option to the back on track mesh sheet. I jave never used the sheet but I have used the quarter sheet, which my horse really liked. I used this sheet on him pre and post ride the other day and he loved it. He was so relaxed, licking and chewing and even falling asleep. Now that I know the smarttherapy mesh sheet works, I plan to buy more smarttherapy products. I would recommend this sheet any day.

It fits both of my horses beautifully, and I feel great knowing that while they're wearing it the Thermobalance Technology is increasing blood flow and helping their body rest and recover. I've been known to also wrap it around myself on cold show days to walk around the show grounds. I started slow with both of my boys to get them used to it, and as soon as it's on they both visibly relax. I'm sure they know that when it goes on, they get some free time to just be and stand quietly and get loved on by mom, but I still feel great knowing that it's helping their bodies heal, especially over their back and hindquarters where so many horses experience discomfort. I can also tell you from experience, it's nice and warm on chilly days!! I've convinced multiple people in my barn to purchase these, and we all love them. I have not washed it yet, but I am told it's very easy to launder.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Sporti from Mesh portion might rip I loved this sheet until rips appeared around the belly straps anchors. This started just after a year of owning and now the rips are growing. Repairing is hard given the open honeycomb fabric.

I recently bought a Back on Track mesh sheet, though, and after 5 minutes in the BOT, my mare was more relaxed than I'd ever seen her. If you're trying to decide between a BOT or this sheet, choose the Back on Track.

When I say that if my house was on fire and I could only go in and save one thing it would be this sheet, it's not entirely an exaggeration (ok, maybe a little bit). I love therapeutic gear and have tried everything under the sun. This is by far my favorite of the sheets I’ve had and I recommend it to everyone! It's the best fit of all the therapeutic brands I’ve tried, and I would say it runs true to size with wiggle room – my horse Enzo's is an 81, which is what he typically wears in blankets, but he's a thicker built TB with a long back so if you have a narrower or short-backed horse you may be able to size down. I really love how nice and light this sheet is, it's not bulky at all thanks to the ceramic ThermoBalance® material covering key muscle areas and having airy mesh everywhere else. The design works incredibly well to vent any excess heat, I’ve been so impressed by it! Enzo has been able to wear it in a wide range of temperatures from crisp spring/fall days and chilly nights on its own to layered under his turnouts in winter, and he's always dry and a comfortable temperature. As for the therapeutic effect, I have been equally impressed. He has an old spinal ligament injury and carries tightness in his back from a front hoof that we're rehabbing, and I 100% notice a difference after he wears this sheet as well as a cumulative effect of looser, more supple muscles with consistent use. His chiro even noted a difference too! Lastly, for being made of mesh, this sheet is remarkably durable. Enzo has an in-out stall with a connected paddock, and while it is NOT intended for outdoor use (we made a SmartTherapy turnout for that!), for me the therapeutic benefits outweighed the risk of damage. Enzo lives for his daily rolls, mud, and general mayhem, and after wearing it for over a year the only tears it has were inflicted by his wonderful but very mouthy neighbor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ckp44 from Lightweight and Horse Loves It I bought this for my horse who is on stall rest because I couldn't find any BoT sheets in stock, but I actually like this better! I love that it is lightweight with the mesh sides as this horse tends to run warm. He is a textbook 84" with big shoulders, and the sheet is adjusted as snug as it will go. I would definitely size down if you are in between sizes or your horse is more petite in build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sabazel from Extremely versatile piece! I bought this mesh sheet and have been using it as the weather transitions from summer to fall. My horse goes overnight in it, and then into turnout in the morning (please note, my turnouts are smaller and well groomed so she doesn't have the chance to run/destroy it). It's light enough that she can wear it until she comes in for dinner without overheating and creates enough warmth for her to stay a bit better overnight for her back muscles, as she has PSSM tendencies. I would definitely recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lady Dr from Super lightweight for summer Bought this as summer approached to use while my horse tries to recover from serious neurological issues . I use it only in the evenings but do plan on using it under a sheet in early fall. Super easy to put on and take off. I love that it does not fit tightly around my drafts neck tight . It has mesh sides and they are much stronger than you may think . My horse is 1800 pounds and has not ripped it thus far. The extra large neck cover that matches , did not even come close to fitting her neck . Even so , I do love this mesh ceramic sheet and I believe it was worth every penny ! I can tell she is really relaxed and even yawns about 15 minutes after I put it on her . The front buckles and clips on this sheet are very adjustable for a large horses neck and chest . This is a winner in my book . I actually like this better than my Back on Track mesh sheet which is very heavy for summer use. I wash this sheet only in cold water and hang to dry . Shavings do NOT stick either which is a huge plus !

Rated 3 out of 5 by court from Surcingles were really long and didn't look sturdy Most of the sheet is great - including that it is in stock, I ordered it because I got tired of waiting for BoT to be back in stock and I like the idea of mesh siding. However the surcingles were so long that I'd be nervous to leave my horse wearing the sheet for a long period of time (even at their shortest they hung down about 6 inches below his belly). On the plus side, they attach to the mesh part of the sheet, so if he somehow got a hoof stuck I'm sure it would easily rip off - but that doesn't speak much for the longevity of the sheet. So, I returned it, and I'm going to just wait for a Back on Track sheet instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by natalie from Great therapy sheet DESIGN-I was a little unsure about not having full coverage with the ceramic technology, however the design hits all the major muscles and the mesh will be nice for the warmer months. The quick clips at the chest are nice for quick easy and off. FUNCTION-My horse appears to enjoy his time in the sheet while he is having his hooves trimmed or prior to riding. The sheet fits well under his turnout to maximize time wearing the sheet without confining him to a stall. SIZING is a little small in my opinion. My 15.1 hand stock type leopard appaloosa measures 78 inches and wears a Smartpak ultimate turnout in a size 78. The picture is him in a size 81. I can't imagine him wearing anything smaller through the chest. My black 15.1 hand finer boned appaloosa measures 75 but also wears a 78 turnout (which is roomy) and the 81 Smartpak Therapy fits him too on the smallest holes. COMPARED to BOT- Now I also bought the Back on Track version in an 81 and that one seems more roomy in the shoulders and length. For the winter months I like the BOT for full coverage, but honestly both sheets are very nice and my horses show similar benefits with the ceramic technology. I even slept on the BOT sheet before bringing out to the barn and my back felt great in the morning! I use many of the human products too. I highly recommend them both. Limited availability also played a role in what I picked. Size up on the Smartpak Therapy sheet.
