Really Unique
I bought this for a photo shoot with my horse that is coming up. I hemmed and hawed about whether I should buy this since it is "different". But I am glad that I did! No one else has anything like it in my barn and I like that. Why be boring? It does run small; I normally buy a Cob size, but I bought the Horse size and it's perfect.

I had been admiring this halter I'm one of my I had I had admired this halter on a friend's horses and decided to get one for my own horse. It is perfect and was supple right out of the box. Name plate is gorgeous and it looks beautiful on my mare.

Gorgeous Halter
I eyed this halter for over a year, and I'm so glad I finally bought it! The leather is thick and gorgeous but not too stiff.
It is simple and beautiful with just a little bit of flash from the twists. Its just enough to be different from all the other plain leather halters, but not too much that my gelding looks feminine.
I also have the matching twisted leather collar for my dog, so both my boys can look effortlessly stylish around the barn and around show grounds.

Gorgeous, BUT...
I bought this halter weeks ago and was very happy with it right out of the package. Its beautiful, made well, soft and lovely. It also RUNS SMALL and I had to return it for an oversize in order to fit my QH/Paint, who runs deep in the throat latch. However, weeks later, I'm still waiting for the replacement. I know, Christmas is crazy, but its been a couple of weeks and no replacement yet.

Love it- seems a little small
I absolutely love my new halters, they seem a little on the smaller side as my horses usually wear a cob size halter, and this one is a bit snug but I’m hoping with a little bit of oil they will soften up and fit a little better

Very nice halter. Leather quality was what I expected and the twist to the halter makes it just different enough to not be the average run of the mill leather halter. I thought the sizing was true and after a couple of coats of oil it was soft and supple.

Great quality
This is an excellent halter. My only complaint is that there is no replacement crownpiece if it were to break. My mare broke it her first time wearing it, she spooked while tied. Thankfully, Smartpak support was able to work with me. Don't buy it if there's a chance it may break.

Lovely Halters!
I was happy to see that they had changed the hardware from brass to stainless on the black halters, so when SmartPak had their free engraving, I snapped them up. I have two black bays, and the black leather with the stainless hardware really look sharp. The engraving is beautifully done. It looks very classy. The halters do no come pre-oiled, but they are supple. I oiled them really well so that they would have a chance with our heat and humidity. FL is really tough on leather. They feel sturdy enough to handle the abuse that everyday halters get. I'm really excited about this purchase, and I wouldn't hesitate to order the same product again. SmartPak has great customer service.

Beautiful halter. Quality leather and even engraved plate.
l bought the black leather and looks amazing on my bay mare. The twisted leather added a bit of special design!
Fit was good - but do admit that the rolled chin leather piece is firm and for that reason getting the fit just right is a challenge (seemed to make it too tight during some of my initial adjustments).

Lovely details!
I bought this for my horse when Smartpak was offering their engraving free which made it a better deal! I finally decided on a show name for my gelding and it turned out great!! I am very happy with the quality of the leather and the metal hardware! Couldn't ask for much more!

Beautiful and unique
I got the black leather halter with a nameplate as a gift. I wasn't sure how black leather would look on my all-black horse, but I have to say it's gorgeous. The twisted leather gives it a unique look. The only downside is the barn dust finds its way into the twists so you have to clean it a little more frequently.

Super nice Halter!
I love this halter. I had a hard time using it as an everyday halter it was that nice! (But I do use it daily and it's holding up GREAT!).
My horse looks like a million dollars with this halter!
I got the name plate, which looks fantastic!
My horse is a smaller AQHA cow horse type and the cob size fits him perfect!
