Look nice...for a week
Very minimal 'fleece types padding. The back boots didn't last 2 weeks with my guy and that is riding him 3 times a week. They do look nice...but i will be buying more expensive boots hoping they last longer.

Would not recommend.
The look and style of these boots is great, but the quality is not up to par with what I would expect from SmartPak products. The stitching came undone within two weeks and as a result the leather tore apart. Unfortunately I had to toss them and invest in more expensive pair of boots. I wouldn't waste your time or money on these and instead look elsewhere.

Not The Best...But Not The Worst
I bought this product less than a month ago and am not thrilled with how the boots have held up. The boots lost their shape after about three rides, the fur lining has already flattened (i brush the boots out and fluff them up after every ride). The stitching on the boots is coming undone in some areas and the Velcro is not as strong as I hoped. Overall not a horrible boot, but I definitely would not buy the set if you use them every ride like I do.

Don’t hold up...even for the low price
I have several pair of different brushing boots that match the pad so a pair gets used once during the week. I wanted to try these to compare them to the others I have. The price is really low so I didn’t expect the quality to be high but it’s lower than I thought. The color has worn off after the first time with only very light scuffing and after about 6 rides the seam on the bottom of both hid boots have come apart. The sizing is a bit off as well. The hind are extra large in height but medium in width and the fronts are wider than the hind. I order the medium set. Im a regular Smartpak customer and many of their products are amazing put these need a bit of work still.

Not so sure...
These boots were great for my mare as her turnout boots but she's ended up getting a really stubborn case of scratches. I'm sure it's these boots that are somehow causing these as two other horses in my barn that wear them have the exact same issue. Was really excited about these, they are durable but didn't work out.

Fabulous Set of Boots
I bought a set of these boots in white last year and they have held up great for flatwork both in and out of the arena. They get dirty but wash up great in the laundry! I love them so much that when they went on sale, I ordered a set in black and navy too! They are easy to put on, stay in place, and are a great addition to my matchy matchy collection (and when I'm too lazy to apply polo wraps)!

Look good but don't hold up
I was so excited to get these in blue for my horse. They look good and the velcro and fleece held up, but the blue is cracking everywhere and no longer has protection, I've only had them maybe 6 months, and the deterioration started with maybe the 5th ride. Still using them, but they are not offering as much protect anymore and I will likely have to pitch them soon.

I bought these for my mare who has a tendency to hit herself. The elastic already seems broken in enough, but no matter how many times I readjust before getting on, they still fall down around her ankles when we ride above a walk. I had originally bought these to use in turnout to protect her from her silly antics, but I don’t think they would stay up. The boots look nice and are good quality for the price, but I won’t be using them except for leisurely hacks.

Nice boots but.....
My horse needs boot all the way around. He is prone to hitting himself. I bought these a few months ago and the outside of the boots are cracking everywhere. I will say the fleese and velcro do hold up.

Reflective of price
I bought these for schooling boots because of the low price for set of four. The material reflects the low price and after <90 days of being used 2-3 times a week at most, they are falling apart. I knew this might happen and it was too good to be true and it was. Probably only have about 30 uses in them before they are done.

Love them, but one cracked?
I bought these a month or two ago, and they have seen light use so far as my mare is on light work restriction. She is a 15 hand Morgan and the size medium fit her nicely.
I was happy with the boots and really enjoying using them, until one day I noticed the material on the left hind boot had cracked! I was disappointed, as I had read reviews and didn't remember seeing this as a complaint with this product. The crack continues to get worse every time I use them. It is in such an odd place that there is no way my horse would be able to strike herself there. You would think leaving them out in the cold might crack the material, but they are always stored in a heated tack room- and used in a heated arena! Not sure why this happened to just one- and none of the others. The rest of the boots have been holding up great. I suppose it's possible I just received a left hind "dud."
They're a great product, minus the one that cracked.

Nice boots but run large
These boots wear well and have washed once well so far. Price point is quite acceptable. As others have mentioned, it would really be nice if there was a small option in these boots. I have a 15 hand quarter horse and a 15 hand lusitano ... while the fronts aren't too terribly big, the hinds are SUPER tall. If you have a larger horse, you might like these better but then I wonder if the fronts would be too small? The difference in the hinds and fronts is so drastic, I'm kind of surprised. I would buy many more pairs of these boots IF there was a small!

Great boots but the hinds run large!
I bought these boots for daily schooling. The quality is better than expected for the price range. Beware that the hinds boots run very tall! I bough mediums for my leggy 16.2 TB and luckily they work for him. The front boots seem to fit like a normal medium, but the hinds a super tall. My guy wears an XL in the Equlibrium stretch wraps on his hind legs, and these medium hinds fit him perfectly.

Replacement for Heidi Boots
If you’re looking to replace the traditional Heidi boots that are impossible to find these days, look no further. These are basically the same. I’ve tried another major tack store’s version and those were way too large and rigid. These are just like the boots you grew up on.

Very nice except...
These are really nice and the Mediums fit my leggy 16.1 TB well. They are very very nice, except I am concerned that they get very hot underneath. Hotter than any other wrap I've ever used in 25 years of riding. It's October now, but I live in the desert and I don't think I will be able to use these in spring-summer.

LOVE them so easy to put on! I have 17'' black thoroughbred, I was hesitant to but them at first because I didn't know if the boots were going to fit he but then did prefect! for the price of these boots the quality is literally the best boots out there!!! then I saw that Smartpak but out navy boots as a color option I had to buy them I already have them in black and white! Love the boots
