Good boot for hard to fit 17.3h
I have a 17.3h WB who I have spent an insane amount of money trying to find him boots that fit and don’t rub.
Previously I was riding him in Large PEI XC boots and Medium hinds.
I have the Large fronts and Large Hinds of these Carbon boots. No rubbing, his legs stay fairly cool. I like the forming fit and the straps feel secure even though they are single straps.
These feel pretty good but definitely not as rigid as the PEI XC boots. Ultimately my horse likes these better. I’ll probably buy the next step down for flat and SJ schooling.

Hinds better than fronts
When I pulled these out of the packaging, I was pretty sure there would be a problem with the fit of the front boots. Le Miex's packaging made it so the contour of the boot was in entirely the wrong place, making it very difficult to bend the velcro area around the back of the horse's leg. If they hadn't packaged it in such a stupid way, the boot might have been fine. My horse was quite uncomfortable and couldn't make it through the first 5 minutes of in-hand dressage warmup with the front boots. The hind boots are more like a brushing boot (and packaging was better) so they fit ok, but rigidity caused it to create pressure points on my hrose's legs. The horse was very guarded and unable to rock back, likely worried the boots would slide down. Sizing was fine on both fronts and hinds, so that was not the problem. Le Mieux missed the mark with this one, unfortunately, especially at that price. It's a bummer because the boots do seem to be of high quality material and I expect they would have been quite durable. Returning.
