The noseband was a little loose on my typical Arabian otherwise the cob fit quite well. It’s going back because the hardware is silver not brass as described and pictured

I have warmblood a and this horse sized halter is swimming on my guy after a few months. Had to punch holes so it wouldn’t fall off his nose. Might purchase the cob size to see it will stretch to fit.

You will have to oil the daylights out of it to really soften the leather up- upon getting it, the leather seemed really dry and scratchy. Also, just like another review mentioned, this halter runs HUGE! It's swimming on my 16 hh horse's face, and that's with the crown pieces on the tightest hole. I'm going to have to punch additional in myself in order to fit better. I was expecting better quality, but if you oil it a bunch you can make the product last you quite awhile.

I’d already compromised what I really wanted by taking the fixed chin. Luckily, Smartpak has excellent customer service and they did allow me to exchange it. The leather itself seemed nice enough and I would have kept it as a turnout halter if the crown had been appropriate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Springhope Farm from Nice halter I bought the cob size for a large 3 year old pony. The leather is nice, stiff enough to provide security but easy to slide on and buckle. Good quality hardware. I use this halter for leading, tying, grooming but not for turnout as I always remove halters for turnout. It seems durable enough that I expect it to last a long time and hope that the growing pony does not grow out of it! (by the way, he is a Welsh/Percheron cross so his mature size is any one's guess!)
