Lots of air movement
I have used these new design fly boots now three times and they seem to be a great alternative to the traditional tighter fitting ones. My horse always developed skin issues with the traditional one. These boots keep the flys out and stay up while allowing maximum air flow. So far I'm pleased with them.

Good For The Price
I purchased these at the beginning of April, a set for the front and back. They have held up okay. Granted, my gelding lives outside 24/7 so he wears them 24/7. There hasn't been any rubbing or irritation and they haven't made his legs hot at all, we've had some hot days in Texas so far this spring. After a little over a month one of the boots in the back has lost the seam that says SmartPak causing it to droop down. They have all started to sag a little, but not terribly. I'll use them until there is absolutely no life left in them. As far as keeping irritating flies off my gelding's legs, they have definitely succeeded at that!

Relaxed Fit Fly Boot
I just love these fly boots. I received my first pair 2 weeks ago, just had to try them. They worked! My horse quit stomping his front feet and was nice and quiet the entire time I was at the barn. I immediately ordered 3 more pair, one set for his hind legs and 2 more sets for the other horse. They are both so relaxed now, amazing. I am pretty sure we will be getting rid of the little hoof cracks as well. Now they are all covered with their mosquito sheets, fly masks with ears and long nose and leg boots. Yea!!

Very nice
I've had issues with other fly boots where in order to be tight enough to stay up I was afraid of damaging legs, and these seemed perfect. They stay put super well and are super breathable so legs don't overheat. I have a 14.2 hand quarter horse and ordered cob size and they fit perfectly.

Great for Arabians
Bought these to try on an Arabian that we have trouble getting fly boots to fit and not create rub spots. Went with the cob size. The design works very well. They stay up and keep the mesh off his legs.

Lightweight protection
My horses live out with sheds and these fly boots help reduce stomping. Their hooves do not get chipped up as badly as before. The boots do not rub and are easy to clean

when I bought these, I doubted they would work. or, even stay on my horse. but, they are still on his legs after a week and he doesn't seem interested in getting them off. (unlike his fly mask, which he's pulled off several times and left in the pasture.)

Fantastic!
My horse and my friend's horse have been so bothered by the flies, but traditional fly boots rubbed. These are light, fit perfectly, cause NO rubs, and are easy to put on and take off. I'm definitely a fan, and will be buying more next summer!

Relief from flies
We first tried these on a very fine boned 14.2 hand Arab mare that is extremely sensitive to the fly bites. Summer is very hard on her. I needed a new pair of fly boots and these looked interesting. Bought a pair (size cob) and they fit her like a glove. She is stalled at night, so we take them off and put them on before turnout. So far they have been staying up - but we had to pull them as tight as possible which means some of the Velcro sticks out. We then purchased same items for a 14.3 hand mare and a 15 hand quarter horse. Again the cob size fits all these horses. The quarter horse wears his all the time as the files really take there toll on him. His have also been staying up. So far i am very pleased with these boots and hoping to get at least 2 seasons from them.

Ineffective fly boots
Smartpack Delux Relaxed Fit Flyboots - I bought these with high hopes but the first day the stitching of the edging came apart on one boot and the next day the edging came loose on another. Within a week all four boots were unable to stay upright on my seniors legs and bunched low unable to protect his legs from biting flies. I’m returning these since they did not function and were ineffective

Fly boots do not stay up. The boning in them is insufficiently rigid to keep them from collapsing around the fetlock.

Finally relief!
I have two donkeys the older one is very sensitive to the fly bites and is constantly rubbing in creating sores on his legs. These were the best pie I could have ever had my two boys, stop doing the fly dance and I’m finally getting some relief. Thank you so much ! I did purchase the cob size and they were perfect .

Best fly boots I’ve found so far!
I have purchased almost every pair of fly boots that Smartpak sells!
I found most of the fitted ones rubbed my horses raw in certain places and the plastic inserted in them
Would sooner than later pop out the bottom- sticking into my horses heel.
These don’t rub, and they stay up fairly well! Glad I finally found a pair that work and do more good than harm

Read carefully - you only get one pair of boots. Silly me, since horses have four legs, I assumed I would get four boots. There are similar fly boots on another site for $55, which I thought was massively overpriced, so I was delighted when I saw these were under $30 with the Perks discount. I was extremely disappointed when I only received enough boots to cover half my horse's legs - which means they are actually even more expensive than the overpriced set of four boots on the other site.
They seem reasonably well made, but I know from experience fly boots just don't hold up very long on my horse. I can't imagine the materials cost is very high, so I really don't understand the high price for an item I'm sure I'm going to need to buy at least twice a season.

Favorite Fly Boots
Pros: lightweight and breathable, extend far from the leg allowing airflow but close at tops to prevent bugs from getting in, easy Velcro, easy to wash
Cons: I wish the Velcro was a little more heavy duty as it is the support system for keeping the boots up the leg. If your horse runs around during turnout it will bunch down around the fetlocks but hey, at least they're still on!!
Honestly, (and if someone has another rec I'm all ears) it's down to the shoofly boots and these. Those are the only two fly boots I will consider buying and I like these a LOT more than the shoofly.
So overall, go for these. They're not perfect but if you can point me to a fly boot that is? Again I'm all ears.

I bought these for my 16 hand TB in an effort to reduce stomping from flies in his stall. I wanted to find a fly boot that would stay up and was breathable but also would not rub. He wears these all day in his stall on his front legs and they do great. He has skinny cannon bones so they are slightly big and fall down slightly but never to the point of being a risk. I tried them on his hind legs and felt they were not as efficient, but that is probably due to his skinny legs and I may try the cob size. Overall, the concept is great and they do their job. Only suggestion would be, if possible, to make the velcro even stiffer or reinforce with stitching since as the velcro becomes more broken in I feel they don't stay up as straight as they did the first week. Once again, my horse's skinny legs probably don't help that issue.

Stay Up! No Slide!
Flys love my Cremello mare's lower legs. Have bought many different brand fly boots for her but they all slide under her hoofs. I tighten and they then rub sores on her legs. These are working wonderful! I even reordered for my gelding. Give them a try!

Nice boots!
I bought these for my 15 hand mustang who is very sensitive to flies. She has short, thin cannon bones so I got cob size and I'm glad I did. They seem to run big, both in length and circumference. Horse size probably would have been too big. They are very nice and breathable, which is important as I am in a high humidity area. My mare wears them 24/7 and no rubs. They do slouch down an inch or so, but it still keeps 90% of the area covered and help a lot to keep the flies from biting. She did rip a small hole in one somehow by the fetlock, but it's not big enough for bugs to get in. I'll probably stick to these boots when I buy more in the future!

great idea - but don't stay
I really liked the idea of these boots and they worked great for ONE DAY! The second and third day I tried to use them were not successful. Second day they just slipped a little and just got a little bunched up. The third day they just sat around her ankles. The stitching also was not great after only 1 or 2 days.

Good idea, execution needs some work
The idea is great, I love how light they are and how they don't stick to the legs. BUT, they don't stay up and bend out of shape quickly in a way that I can't seem to straighten them. Even when new and straight, they fell down almost immediately and bunched around the ankles. I'd try them again if the design is updated, but I wouldn't recommend them as they are now.

Good for keeping flies out of wounds
I bought these for my horse to help a wound on her pastern heal. They stay up, give space around the leg so they don't irritate the wound, and it is almost healed.

Not the greatest!
I've had these a couple weeks and now they are starting to droop more often so I have to keep pulling them up & adjusting, but they are helping to a certain extent. Anything to help with my old girl from stomping her feet all day.

Great for minimal turnout!
I bought these a month ago. My warm blood is super sensitive to flies and lives in these 24/7. He gets 2 hour turnout in a non grass paddock. They have worked well for him. However, they did not hold up for my retired thoroughbred who lives in rough, muddy terrain. I like the way they don't touch the tendons and ligaments.

Better than the Amigo but not by much
I have friends at the barn that use the Schneider ones and they seem to be a bit better and taller. I bought the horse size and the seem just a bit short after a day or two. As goofy as they look they work well as long as they cover his legs. also wish they would sell in sets and not pairs since most horses have 4 legs...just saying.
