Didn't last
I ordered these fly boots due to their light weight and color. Unfortunately, they did not hold up and one ripped within a few months. They fall down and come off if they get wet. Disappointed that they didn't even last one season.

Love these fly boots!
I have used almost every brand of fly boots for my mares white legs. These are by far my favorite. Others I have stressed about the random rain showers and then when they get wet causing her rubs and fungus. These are so breathable and light! The only reason it’s not five stars is because after a week or two they become loose and don’t stay up as well and require to be put back correctly every day.

Very durable and light
I have tried many different types of fly boots, and these are hands down the best. I leave them on all season, so lightweight they dry quickly if it rains and they stay UP. They usually last one summer unless the horse destroys them.

Protection from flies for hot weather use
They stay put and are sheer so they don’t hold in heat. I have Icelandics and am glad I got the horse size. I really like these!

Great Boots! Buy Them!
I bought the purple ones to coordinate with a SmartPak fly sheet. I had no real expectations for them, as most fly boots I’ve used have not stayed up well or have rubbed. But nonetheless, my Appendix is very sensitive and I needed to try something. These are truly the best fly boots I have ever used! They stay up, don’t rub, and wash up really well! I loved them so much that I bought a second pair in orange to coordinate with a fly sheet for my other Appendix. Buy them!!

So far I am happy
I have been using them for about a month, when they are on my horse they are on 24 hours a day on all 4 legs. I do take them off for the cooler weather or when we get a lot of rain when the flies aren't as bad. Considering they are on a horse's leg outside all day they seem to be holding up well (Last year he ripped 2 by now of a different brand but same style) if that says anything. They are lightweight and seem to be staying up well right now.

They are ok.
I really wanted to like these because they do not get tight if my horse stocks up, But when they get wet they fall down. I found one around my horses ankle, the velcro did not come undone, but it was like a sock that has fallen, It was getting tight around her ankle, I am really angry about it, Not at smartpak, this is not there fault, Its the barn owner & groom who brought my horse in from the paddock & didn't care to fix it.

Did not hold up
Purchased 2 sets of these fly boots for my gelding. He got them off his hind legs within the first 2 weeks and the Velcro was ripped-he's not a horse that is hard on his clothing.. he has blankets that are upwards of 7 years old that still look pretty new except for a bit of color loss. His fronts have stayed on but aren't maintaining their shape.
I did like that his legs don't get hot in them and if they had stayed on/up I would be happy to replace them each year.

Love them!!!!
I bought these for my horses, I have 3, a yearling walker(cob size), warm blood (horse size) and Belgium Cross (horse size) and they fit great and are easy to take off and on. These boots clean easy and seem to be holding up so far. Have only had them for about a month and a half now. But they seem to be made well and stay in place without any issue. I would recommend them for sure. Love how they fit and that they seem to be breathable.

Excellent fly boots
I bought these to prevent my mare stomping her feet while she is recovering from a foot injury. She has never worn fly boots before but didn’t bat an eye when I put these on. I like that they stay off the leg because I don’t have to worry about them being uncomfortable or heating her legs up. She is not allowed out of her stall but I feel like they would hold up well in turnout if needed. I also love the purple color!

Stopped the stomping
I got these last month for my horse who was stomping herself sore from all the flies. We’re in SoCal and she wears them 24/7 and in these ones she doesn’t get hot.

Note: Quantity!
Don’t overlook quantity like I did. $33 for 2… you can get 4 Shoofly boots for $45 with other sellers. So far they are fine. Lightweight as they are made from a fine mesh/tulle type material, which is nice… not convinced they will hold-up long. Time will tell.

They fit perfectly
With the amount of flies that we get in our area and how they bite on my horses legs; this product was perfect.

Would not recommend
I bought two of these, I most likely should’ve started with one pair. These do not stay on even when my horse is in the stall. They’re Velcro, so when I pick them off the floor they tend to have dirt stuck on the Velcro so overtime these will most likely become unusable. Wouldn’t recommend these. Regretting my purchase.

Worst fly boots I have ever owned
I bought 2 sets a month ago. The sticking off of 3 of them came apart after a couple days. I also noticed flies inside the boot at least 4 times. There is no sturdy loop & hook closure that it says in the description. Smart pack replaced one set that have fallen apart after one week of use. Totally disappointed in these

Don’t stay up
I was really excited about these boots, but unfortunately they fall down after a couple of days and bunch around the fetlock. They do this on both of my horses, as they each have a pair. Also, there were some loose threads on both pairs after one use, though they seem to be staying together.

Just Ok
I bought these because the ones I usually buy from a different site have been backordered since February. I ordered two pairs because, despite horses having four legs, they only come in a pack of two. One pack arrived with one horse size and one cob size - SmartPak's customer service can't be beat, and they got that corrected quickly. Sadly, the boots are just not the quality I expected them to be. My guy has legs that flies just can't resist, so he wears fly boots daily from April through October. I've already had to throw three of these away. The fit was never super great and they often slid down and off and he was often stepping on them. The velco came unstiched from the boot itself. It's too bad because I love the colors and that I can get a fly mask to match.

Wish I could give 10 stars!
Bought these for my 32 year old gelding who has a skin condition on his cannon bone. Every summer it's a battle to keep it from flaring up. Bugs swarm to it, fly boots rub! These are PERFECT. I can even adjust the top and bottom so they don't fit too tightly and cause abrasions. These are the best fly boots hands down.

Work well, but not durable
I bought these boots about 3 weeks ago. They started out great, but after intermittent use in turnout (dry lot/mowed grass area) they start to get slouchy and don't stay up. They may be good for a horse to wear while stalled, but not ideal for a horse that is mostly on turnout. They are not well suited in an area with dust/dirt or dewy grass.

Stay put
I bought these for my horse whose legs are bloody from fly bites. The work great. They stay up and stay in place even when out in the pasture. I will definitely be purchasing additional boots for my other horses and to change out and wash.

No More Stomping!
I have not used fly boots in the past, as I always thought they would slide down. However, my current mare is very sensitive with the flies and seems to non-stop stomp with her hind legs. I decided to give the SmartPak Deluxe Relaxed Fit Fly Boots a try for this season. My mare is 15.2 and is always a horse or a size large in hind boots, so I bought her size horse for her hind legs, and they fit perfectly. They stay up all day, as I only remove them when she comes inside at night. She has been wearing them every day for almost a month now, with no signs of them slipping down or slouching. She is much happier too in her paddocks.

Stitching came apart after one use
These boots were great for about 6 hours... and then the next morning I came out and the stitching on two separate pairs had come apart making them unuseable. Had to throw them away after one use.

Fell apart at the seams
I put them
On my horse and the next morning the stitching had come out off the velcro. The next day the other one fell apart. They sent me a new pair and it was the same issue.

Lasted less than a week
I have an Arab who is very good at keeping things from being destroyed. His previous fly boots (different brand) lasted for 3 seasons before the spine wouldn’t stay up. These lasted less than a week. The stitching has come undone where the velcro attaches to the mesh, which caused the boot to slump and he stepped a big hole in it. Super disappointed in the quality. I also wasn’t aware these came in pairs and not all four. Had I known this previously, I wouldn’t have purchased. Now that I do know this, I absolutely would avoid as I’m not too keen on throwing ~$35 into a fire pit.

These "socks" are better than the contoured boots
I bought these about a month ago, and they are effective against flies landing on my horse's legs, and they are easy to put on. Taking them off simply requires disengaging the velcro. They are much less potentially irritating to his skin, as the tighter contoured boots do. Customer service was very helpful when I ordered these, too.

Great product!
Stan (horse) has been wearing now for about 10 days or so. So far, they have really kept their shape and they DO stay up, all day....walking or running they don't move! The only negative thing I can say is, when he comes into the barn at night and I am taking them off, it takes 2 hands (and then some) to remove the boots! LOL The Velcro REALLY keeps them in place.

Love them!
Great product as it stays in place, breathable and easy to clean! only down side is after about a month of wear and tear in the pasture velcro stitching is starting to rip off.

I love the concept of the mesh material...cooler. My only complaint is there is not much room for size adjustment at the top. My mare has these on 24/7 and I believe an added benefit may be that ticks cannot crawl up her legs....yes, I would recommend these.

Great product
Works well. Stays up. I bought the purple and orange pair so they would be easy to find in the pasture. So far so good. My guys have not gotten them off and they have stayed up. The only con I find is the top band I would like to be a little tighter. One of my guys has skinny legs. There is a space where maybe the flies can get through.
