Nice for the price
Looks exactly like sale ad. Lightweight but not so much that it didn't hold it's shape under saddle.

Fabric yukky
I bought this and and love the color but the fabric is stiff and slick. 100% polyester is not cool and wicking for summer. I have not even attempted to put it on my horse because it feels so gross.

Beautiful pad but just misses the mark.
I've been wanting an ombre pad every since they became a thing, and I took advantage of the sale on this one to get one. I'm glad it was on sale. It's super pretty - the color and the shading is gorgeous, but the material is very slippery and doesn't appear to be of the best quality. This pad slides around when my others don't. The foam padding also compresses very easily.

Beautiful Pad with Unique Design!
This Ombre saddle pad adds some flair to my horse's wardrobe! I love the large squares design, and there is plenty of cushion for my horse's back. The material is soft and durable, and I have washed this pad a few times since I got it and it comes out looking brand new every time! This pad was a great fit under my monoflap saddle, and the girth straps help to hold it in place. I'm looking forward to many more rides in this stylish pad!

Nice looking but slippery
This is a nice thick saddle pad, but the material is slippery.

Beautiful, but lacking substance.
I’ll say first of all, I love the look of this pad. It’s 5/5 pretty when it’s new.
But I don’t think it’s going to age well at all. The satine fabric would do well to be substituted with a cotton (or higher cotton percentage) to give more durability. Every. Single. Needle-hole. shows white, the fabric clearly only has the color printed on the top side, or this wouldn’t be showing. The first ride had pilling and rubs at the birthmark, something I don’t usually notice. It’s not terrible, but it’s there. I really think that switching to a higher quality fabric with better dyes/printing would elevate the pad to 5 stars. Also important to note that my pad seems to me noticeably thinner than other SmartPak pads I’ve purchased- I will be using a half pad with it for sure. The color is a great match to the discontinued turquoise polo wraps, which I ordered at the same time without really intending to match, I just wanted that color; but when I opened the box they went so well together.
All that said, I know SmartPak would probably let me return and would refund me, but it is so very pretty I’m going to keep it. I would rather purchase a SmartPak product than other brand, but for now I’ll buy my ombré pads elsewhere. Do keep trying SmartPak! You’ve got the basics, it just needs some work. Pictured is the pad on a 15 hand (bald face) Paint horse and a 16 hand Quarter horse. Both of which wear a 56 girth... the 15 hander is quite a solid little guy.

Love the color!
I bought this saddle pad a couple weeks ago, and I love it! It looks beautiful on my mare and I’ve gotten several compliments on it from other riders at my barn

Pretty to look at
This pad is cheaper than the updated style Weatherbeeta makes. The fabric is stunningly unique and very soft. But DON’T add embroidery because it pulls the threads. The billet straps are useless but the girth strap works. It doesn’t have the tougher canvas wear patch beneath the girth strap To protect the soft fabric.
If you like the color changing ombré effect, check out Weatherbeeta’s updated version. The colors are eye catching, the d ring straps work as designed and the fabric is stronger.
