Ruined in less than 2 days
Absolute junk. I am so disappointed as I am usually a fan of all the SmartPak branded gear, but this one was a huge fail. I (literally) used this for TWO DAYS before it was rendered useless from all the rips. For reference, this was worn by a gentle, elderly mare who does not eat her clothes ever. Feels like I just flushed money down the toilet. Can't believe Smartpak is selling this.

Tares easy
I've had it for 3 days. My horse is alone in pasture and she managed to get her front leg through and rip it off somehow. She tote it to shreds and is normally really gentle on her sheets. I wouldn't reccomend. Beautiful color, and she didn't sweat in it, just not well made.

The only one that fit...
I have been on a year long quest to find a fly sheet that my gelding could walk in! Others (even the pricey brands... the Rambos, Horseware, even Smartpak Ultras) would slide back behind his wither and constrict him at the chest. He'd do this tiny little tiptoe walk, which freaked me out ... thinking he was lame. Nope, it was just the sheet fit. Sent them all back and... on a sale (and whim), decided to spend $40 on this No-Neck version, and you know what? He loves it? No buckles digging in, no necklines sliding back. Smartpak -- I love this sheet... maybe just keep this fit/cut and bulk up the fabric for multi year use? But at $40-50? I'll buy multiples and just deal with snags! Love this sheet!

Good fit; good design
My Rocky has a sheath condition that attracts flies (maggots) that the vet can't solve. We need to cover this area as much as possible. He's lived in various fly sheets this summer. However, I like this closed front the best as he can roll in it and it stays in place. We have granite rocks on our mountain property and lots of pine trees to rub against. So far, the sheet is holding up. Next year, I hope to leave him in this overnight as the closed front looks like it would be comfier for leaving on long term.

my mare, who is not a horse to ever destroy blankets, rolled maybe twice wearing this and the entire thing fell apart. wasn't even used for a month.

Love the closed front!
OK OK, so yes it is a little more work to put a sheet over the head. But there are no pesky buckles that poke into the horse. Or that need to be dealt with. my mayor is rough on sheets, and this one has held up great!

Call a therapist because my flies are depressed
I usually don’t review things so hopefully this gives you some perspective. I’ve had this fly sheet for about 3 months now. I have a dapple grey gelding and there’s limited shelter in his paddock. This way if he can’t get any shade he still has some coverage. Did NOT expect it to work so well for flies. Also expected it to fall apart because it’s so thin. I finally decided to review this after one particular event.
It was 96 degrees out so I decided to take it off of him for the day to ensure he could sweat properly. I got to the barn at the end of the day to hose him off and let him graze. We got to the grass and he was being driven crazy by the flies and just couldn’t graze comfortably. I sprayed on his fly spray and still no relief. He was still wet but I wanted him to enjoy our time together so I threw the fly sheet on him just to let him have a little peace. Immediately he was more relaxed and the flies were gone. I have zero explanation for it other than some kind of witchcraft. Also, he dried off faster than he would if he wasn’t wearing it. We’re talking freshly rinsed off within the past 15 minutes and he was dry in 5. I got back to the barn and decided I needed to leave a review for this thing.
Side note, fits perfectly in my washing machine and comes out sparkling each time. No wear and tear that I can see even with being thrown in the wash once a week. He’ll be supervised in the hotter temps but I have no issue keeping this on him for the whole summer. It very visibly makes his life so much more comfortable.

Holding up well! Love the closed front!
This fly sheet works well to keep insects away and the sun off. My 16hh OTTB comfortably wears a 75”. The closed front makes it super easy to put on and take off. She doesn’t seem to sweat and we live in AL. I do wish it had the belly flap as well, but it’s plenty long and provides good coverage. Definitely pleased with my purchase. Oh yes , it’s holding up well to the shenanigans of the yearling in a herd of 6 horses!

Decent for the price
My horse has worn a few times and it's still holding up.
True to size as I purchase an 84 and my horse wears 84 in Rambo. I figured for sure the closed front neck would be too small in the neck bit it's perfect. The fly sheet tends to slide back like they all seem to do on him and other horses I have and makes the sheet look 2 sizes too big as it hangs over his butt. I don't care though and he doesn't seem to care either. I'm contemplating on getting a smaller size to try and can put it on another horse if it doesn't fit. Fly sheets tend to have a size all there own.

Strap broke and bad rubs
My horse wore this fly sheet about 5 times and the front strap broke off and it causes horrible rubs on his chest. This is his correct size also and it wasn’t too tight. Very disappointed
