Simple yet effective
My sensitive skinned mare has only been wearing this a few weeks but the hair around her eyes is already growing back. And she hasn't tried to rub it off like other masks. Simple is sometimes the best.

There’s not many fly masks that hold up for more than a season around here. I like these. Price is right. No rubs. The only thing I don’t love is no hole for the forelock to slip through.

Well Made Fly Mask
I purchased this fly mask, in the cob size, for my Gypsy Vanner and it fits perfectly. Fits his face much better than a regular horse size. It is well made and appears it will be very durable. Highly recommend the SmartPak fly mask.

I want to love them but....
I am not one to complain but I have ordered a number of these masks. I like the style, the velcro is strong but.....the stitching is horrible. Where the velcro is stitched to the mask....it lets go. Also have one that the stitching holding the fleece on let go. I have one that it happened to within 3 days. I'm not sure what the answer is but I won't be ordering anymore of these masks.

Durable mask!
Fits my mare great, love that I could have her name on it. Only downside is that there is only one side of Velcro instead of double Velcro straps to “lock” it in together.

I haven’t even used these a full year (full season) and my horses lose them almost every night. And after a few good rolls the Velcro also seems worn out. They’re sturdy and look really nice but probably not great if your horse is turned out with others

LOVE the Options!
I bought 2 of these for my horses around a month ago. I had them customized with my horses' names and they turned out so great! The shipping was extremely fast(despite delays everywhere else is having) and the customization was reasonable! I never thought I would be so excited for fly season! Will definitely order more.

Worked OK at first
This mask worked ok at first on my 6 yo. However, about 2 months in, his buddy got the mask off and a section of the soft part near the ears is missing. It's one whole side where the ear hole is. I am hoping my horse or his friend didn't eat the fabric as I cannot find it. If your horse is generally kind to their fly masks, this product is probably good.

Won't stay on!
I'm so disappointed with this mask! I'm used to Smartpak having very high quality products, so ordered this over my usual cheap masks.
First, it runs really small for a cob size. It barely fit my fine headed Morgan. Second, there is no place for my mare's very long forelock, so it either has to be inside the fly mask or out one of the ear holes. Worst of all, it will not stay on, no matter what I do. I will be purchasing my usual Farnam mask once again.

Most Durable Fly Mask
The SmartPak Classic Fly Mask – With/Without Ears is, hands down, the best fly mask I have ever used. The durability is outstanding and the velcro closure is wide, so the mask barely moves, let alone comes off. There is a strip of fleece on the forehead, so it does not rub my horse’s face and allows for more comfort. Sometimes, fly masks lose their structure over time and rub the horse’s eyes. The mesh is a thicker weave, so the mask doesn’t lose its structure and it runs very true to size. The mask does loosen a bit over time, so if you put it on your horse and it seems a little tight, don’t worry because that won’t last long. My horse has a white face, so I love that it has UV protection as well! I can throw it in the washing machine, and it stays intact. You can choose between having ear protection or not. I choose the fly mask without ears since my horse hates having his ears touched. Overall, this is a great buy!

Great but...
I really like this fly mask. It’s sturdy and fits great. My one complaint is that it left rub marks under the chin of the horse I bought it for. I switched it to another horse and it hasn’t done that. The velcro is really strong and it looks nice on.

Best fly mask ever
This is the only mask my mare will wear. She doesn't fuss when I put it on and it blocks the UV rays that were causing her eyes to peel. (grey horse) Wide velcro tab that is the easiest to open and close of any mask I've used in the last 25 years. So affordable and durable. Perfect!

Decent mask for the price
Everything works great, it fits, and seems to be durable. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is no space for the forelock so it ends up sticking out the ears haha! Looks a little silly, but is still a good mask.

Very durable fly mask.
This is the most sturdy fly mask I’ve ever bought. I was super pleased with the large Velcro closure and the webbing pull tab on the Velcro. It fits my very large Trakehner gelding perfectly without rubbing. Most “horse” sizes are much too small for him. Also he loves to roll a lot and so far he has not gotten the fly mask off in the field. I’m not sure how well it would fit my normal sized mare. It seems a little large for her.
